< Ezekiel 24 >

1 Again, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
Le ƒe asiekelia ƒe ɣleti ewolia ƒe ŋkeke ewolia gbe la, Yehowa ƒe nya va nam be,
2 “Son of man, write the name of the day, this same day. The king of Babylon drew close to Jerusalem this same day.
“Ame vi, ŋlɔ ŋkeke sia, ŋkeke sia tututu da ɖi, elabena Babilonia fia ɖe to ɖe Yerusalem le ŋkeke sia tututu dzi.
3 Utter a parable to the rebellious house, and tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says, “Put the cauldron on the fire. Put it on, and also pour water into it.
Do lo aɖe na ƒome dzeaglã la me tɔwo, eye nàgblɔ na wo be, ‘Ale Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔe nye si.’ “Tsɔ nuɖaze la ɖo dzo dzi, tsɔe ɖo dzo dzi, eye nàku tsi ɖe eme.
4 Gather its pieces into it, even every good piece: the thigh and the shoulder. Fill it with the choice bones.
Tsɔ lã la de ze la me. Tsɔ eƒe akpa xɔasitɔwo, lãkɔ nyuitɔwo katã kpe ɖe ata kple abɔgba ŋuti. Na be ze la nayɔ fũu kple lã la ƒe akpa siawo ƒe ƒu nyuitɔwo.
5 Take the choice of the flock, and also a pile of wood for the bones under the cauldron. Make it boil well. Yes, let its bones be boiled within it.”
Tsɔ wò lã nyuitɔ tso lãha la me, eye nàde nake ete hena ƒuawo ɖaɖa. Na tsi la nafie, eye nàɖa ƒuawo le eme.
6 “‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city, to the cauldron whose rust is in it, and whose rust has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece without casting lots for it.
“Elabena aleae Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔe nye si. “Babaa na hlɔ̃dodu la, babaa na nuɖaze si lé ɣebia, eye ɣebialéle maɖe ɖa le eŋu o! Ɖe lãkɔawo ɖeka ɖeka le ze la me, gake mègadzidze nu ɖe wo dzi o.
7 “‘“For the blood she shed is in the middle of her. She set it on the bare rock. She did not pour it on the ground, to cover it with dust.
“Elabena ʋu si wòkɔ ɖi la le edome. Ekɔe ɖe agakpe ƒuƒlu dzi, mekɔe ɖe anyigba dzi, afi si ʋuʋudedi atsyɔ edzi le o.
8 That it may cause wrath to come up to take vengeance, I have set her blood on the bare rock, that it should not be covered.”
Be nye dziku nafla, eye mabia hlɔ̃ ta la, mekɔ eƒe ʋu ɖe agakpe ƒuƒlu dzi, ale be ʋuʋudedi matsyɔ edzi o.
9 “‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the pile great.
“Eya ta ale Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔe nye si, “Babaa na du si me ʋukɔkɔɖi le. Nye hã mali kɔ nake wòakɔ.
10 Heap on the wood. Make the fire hot. Boil the meat well. Make the broth thick, and let the bones be burned.
Eya ta fɔ nake da ɖe nakekɔ la dzi, eye nàdo dzo. Ɖa lã la nyuie, nàde detsiƒonu ʋeʋĩwo eme, eye nàna ƒuawo nafia.
11 Then set it empty on its coals, that it may be hot, and its bronze may burn, and that its filthiness may be molten in it, that its rust may be consumed.
12 She is weary with toil; yet her great rust, rust by fire, does not leave her.
13 “‘“In your filthiness is lewdness. Because I have cleansed you and you were not cleansed, you will not be cleansed from your filthiness any more, until I have caused my wrath toward you to rest.
“‘Azɔ la, wò nu makɔmakɔe nye ŋukpenanuwɔwɔ. Esi medze agbagba be makɔ ŋuwò, ke esi mèna be woakɔ ŋuwò le wò makɔmakɔnyenye me o ta la, màgakɔ azɔ o va se ɖe esime nye dɔmedzoe helĩhelĩ ɖe ŋuwò nu nabɔbɔ.
14 “‘“I, the LORD, have spoken it. It will happen, and I will do it. I will not go back. I will not spare. I will not repent. According to your ways and according to your doings, they will judge you,” says the Lord GOD.’”
“‘Nye Yehowae ƒo nu. Ɣeyiɣi la ɖo be mawɔ edzi. Nyematɔ o, eye nyemakpɔ nublanui loo alo adzudzɔ nu si meɖo la wɔwɔ o. Woadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu wò le wò nɔnɔme kple wɔnawo nu. Aƒetɔ Yehowae gblɔe.’”
15 Also the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
Yehowa ƒe nya va nam be,
16 “Son of man, behold, I will take away from you the desire of your eyes with one stroke; yet you shall neither mourn nor weep, neither shall your tears run down.
“Ame vi, mele nu si doa dzidzɔ na wò ŋkuwo la ɖe ge ɖa kpata. Ke mègafa konyi alo afa avi loo alo ana wò aɖatsi nado o.
17 Sigh, but not aloud. Make no mourning for the dead. Bind your headdress on you, and put your sandals on your feet. Do not cover your lips, and do not eat mourner’s bread.”
Ɖe hũu ɖɔɖɔɖɔ; mègafa ame kukuwo o. Sa wò tablanu sesĩe, eye nàdo wò tokota; mègatsɔ nu bla wò glã loo alo nàɖu konyifalawo ƒe nuɖuɖu o.”
18 So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died. So I did in the morning as I was commanded.
Ale meƒo nu na ameawo le ŋdi me, eye le fiẽ me la, srɔ̃nye ku. Esi ŋu ke ŋdi la, mewɔ nu si Yehowa ɖo nam be mawɔ la.
19 The people asked me, “Will not you tell us what these things mean to us, that you act like this?”
Ameawo biam be, “Màgblɔ nu si nu siawo awɔ kple mí la na mí oa?”
20 Then I said to them, “The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
Ale megblɔ na wo be, “Yehowa ƒe nya va nam be,
21 ‘Speak to the house of Israel, “The Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword.
22 You will do as I have done. You will not cover your lips or eat mourner’s bread.
Miawɔ nu si mewɔ. Miatsɔ nu abla glã loo alo aɖu konyifalawo ƒe nuɖuɖu o.
23 Your turbans will be on your heads, and your sandals on your feet. You will not mourn or weep; but you will pine away in your iniquities, and moan one toward another.
Mina miaƒe tablanu nanɔ ta na mi, eye miaƒe tokota nanɔ afɔ na mi; miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta, eye miaɖe hũu le mia ɖokuiwo dome.
24 Thus Ezekiel will be a sign to you; according to all that he has done, you will do. When this comes, then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.’”’”
Ne esia va eme la, mianya be nyee nye Aƒetɔ Yehowa.’
25 “You, son of man, should not it be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart—their sons and their daughters—
“Eye wò, Ame vi, gbe si gbe maɖe woƒe sitsoƒe, woƒe dzidzɔ kple ŋutikɔkɔe, nu si nya kpɔna na woƒe ŋkuwo, woƒe dzi ƒe didi, wo viŋutsuwo kple vinyɔnuwo ɖa la,
26 that in that day he who escapes will come to you, to cause you to hear it with your ears?
gbe ma gbe la, sisila aɖe ava be yeaka nyadzɔdzɔ la ta na wò.
27 In that day your mouth will be opened to him who has escaped, and you will speak and be no more mute. So you will be a sign to them. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”
Ɣe ma ɣi me la, woaʋu nu na wò, wò kple sisila la miaƒo nu, màgazi ɖoɖoe o. Ale ànye kpɔɖeŋu na wo, eye woanya be nyee nye Yehowa.”
