Ezekiel 2

1 He said to me, “Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.”

۱ که مرا گفت: «ای پسر انسان بر پایهای خودبایست تا با تو سخن گویم.»

2 The Spirit entered into me when he spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard him who spoke to me.

۲ و چون این رابه من گفت، روح داخل من شده، مرا بر پایهایم برپا نمود. و او را که با من متکلم نمود شنیدم

3 He said to me, “Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.

۳ که مرا گفت: «ای پسر انسان من تو را نزد بنی‌اسرائیل می‌فرستم، یعنی نزد امت فتنه انگیزی که به من فتنه انگیخته‌اند. ایشان و پدران ایشان تا به امروزبر من عصیان ورزیده‌اند.

4 The children are impudent and stiff-hearted. I am sending you to them, and you shall tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’

۴ و پسران ایشان سخت رو و قسی القلب هستند و من تو را نزد ایشان می‌فرستم تا به ایشان بگویی: خداوند یهوه چنین می‌فرماید.

5 They, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse—for they are a rebellious house—yet they will know that there has been a prophet among them.

۵ و ایشان خواه بشنوند و خواه نشنوند، زیرا خاندان فتنه انگیز می‌باشند، خواهنددانست که نبی‌ای در میان ایشان هست.

6 You, son of man, do not be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

۶ و تو‌ای پسر انسان از ایشان مترس و از سخنان ایشان بیم مکن اگرچه خارها و شوکها با تو باشد و در میان عقربها ساکن باشی، اما از سخنان ایشان مترس واز رویهای ایشان هراسان مشو، زیرا که ایشان خاندان فتنه انگیز می‌باشند.

7 You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear or whether they will refuse; for they are most rebellious.

۷ پس کلام مرا به ایشان بگو، خواه بشنوند و خواه نشنوند، چونکه فتنه انگیز هستند.

8 But you, son of man, hear what I tell you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth, and eat that which I give you.”

۸ و تو‌ای پسر انسان آنچه را که من به تو می‌گویم بشنو و مثل این خاندان فتنه انگیزعاصی مشو بلکه دهان خود را گشوده، آنچه را که من به تو می‌دهم بخور.»

9 When I looked, behold, a hand was stretched out to me; and behold, a scroll of a book was in it.

۹ پس نگریستم و اینک دستی بسوی من درازشد و در آن طوماری بود.

10 He spread it before me. It was written within and without; and lamentations, mourning, and woe were written in it.

۱۰ و آن را پیش من بگشود که رو و پشتش هر دو نوشته بود و نوحه و ماتم و وای بر آن مکتوب بود.
