< Daniel 9 >

1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the offspring of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans—
Babylon mite chunga lenga hungpang, Ahasuerus chapa, Mede mi Darius lengvaipoh kal kumkhat lhin kum chu ahi.
2 in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years about which the LORD’s word came to Jeremiah the prophet for the accomplishing of the desolations of Jerusalem, even seventy years.
Ama lengvaipoh kal kum masapen chun, Daniel keiman, Pathen thu kasim’a konin, Jeremiah themgao heng’a Pathenin ana phondohsa bangin, Jerusalem ahom’a akijam khu, kum som sagi sung kichaitei tei ding ahi, ti kahin hedoh tai.
3 I set my face to the Lord God, to seek by prayer and petitions, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
Hijeh chun keiman Pakai Pathen henglam kangan, taona leh thumna toh thon an kangolin chuleh khaodip pon kasilin, vut kakinu khum in ahi.
4 I prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, “Oh, Lord, the great and dreadful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with those who love him and keep his commandments,
Hichun Pakai ka Pathen heng’a ka chonset ka phong’in, keima hitin ka taove. “O Pakai, nangma loupitah leh gin umtah Pathen nahi! Nangman aphat jousen, nangailua chuleh nathupeh nitte chunga, nathutep na molsopehjin chuleh na lungset long louvin na koije.”
5 we have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances.
Ahivangin, keiho ka chonseuvin, adihlou jeng kaboluve. Keihon nang doumah mah kabolun chuleh na thupeh leh na chondan ho donlouvin kakoi uvin ahi.
6 We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
Keihon nalhacha themgao ho thusei kajahdauvin, nangma thuneina leh namin pan’a ka lengteu leh kapu kappateu, chuleh gamsung mipite jouse henga, themgao ho kam’a naseidoh sah ho donlouvin kakoi tauve.’’
7 “Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but to us confusion of face, as it is today; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near and who are far off, through all the countries where you have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you.
O Pakai! Dihna chu nanga um ahi. Keiho Judah mite leh Jerusalem’a chengho chuleh gamla leh naiya kithecheh Israel mite jouse dinga, hiche hohi dihsoh kei ahi. Nang douna jeng kabolun, chuleh kitahlou tah’a nang kahou jeh’un, kachennau gamtinah mai jumna katoh tauve.
8 Lord, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you.
O Pakai! keiho leh ka lengteu, leng chapate leh milen milal ho chuleh kapu kapateu dinga maijumna dim ahitai. Ajeh chu keiho nangma dounan ka chonse tauvin ahi.
9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him.
Amavang, keiho ama douna-a ka chonset lheh vangun, Pakai ka Pathen'u chu mi hepina leh ngaidamna dimset ahi jing’e.
10 We have not obeyed the LORD our God’s voice, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
Keihon, ama lhacha themgao ho kam’a ki seidoh danthu hi juilouvin kakoi jun, chuleh Pakai ka Pathen’u thusei kangai tapouve. Ahivangin, ama-ah hepi leh ngaidamna aum jing’e.
11 Yes, all Israel have transgressed your law, turning aside, that they should not obey your voice. “Therefore the curse and the oath written in the law of Moses the servant of God has been poured out on us, for we have sinned against him.
Israel pumpi hi, nadanthu juilou ahiuvin, nang’a kon’a kihei mangsoh ahitauve. Na thusei awgin jong angainom louvu ahitai. Hijeh’a chu, Pathen lhacha Mose danbua kisun banga, keiho Pathen douna-a ka chonset jeh’un ka chunguva gosapna leh thutanna chu akibunglha tai.
12 He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing on us a great evil; for under the whole sky, such has not been done as has been done to Jerusalem.
Nangman naseisa na petchahin, chuleh naseidohsa bang bangin, keiho leh ka chunguva vaipote chung’a naboltai. Ajeh chu, hitobang’a hamsetna hi leiset pumpia umkha lou ahin, Jerusalem chung’a kibol ahi tai.
13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet we have not entreated the favor of the LORD our God, that we should turn from our iniquities and have discernment in your truth.
Mose danthu lekhabua kisun gaosapna hijat pihi, ka chunguva ahunglhung tan ahi. Ahivangin, keihon ka chonsetnau kadalha nompouve. Chuleh Pakai ka Pathen’u henga jong ahepina ka holdeh pouvin, Pakai dihna hepha louvin kaum tauve.
14 Therefore the LORD has watched over the evil, and brought it on us; for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he does, and we have not obeyed his voice.
Hijeh chun Pakaiyin agonsa bangin, keiho chung’a hamsetna alhunsah tai. Amavang, ka Pathenuvin hitia abol jeng hi, adihtah chu abol ahi. Ajeh chu, ama thusei ho keihon kangaitapouve.
15 “Now, Lord our God, who has brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have gotten yourself renown, as it is today, we have sinned. We have done wickedly.
O Pakai, ka Pathen’u, nangman Egypt gam’a kon’in namite keiho, na thahat loupitah chun neihin huhdohuvin chuleh namin jong loupitah leh gin umtah in n koi tai. Ahivang in, keiho gitlouna dimsetin ka chonse jo tauve.
16 Lord, according to all your righteousness, please let your anger and your wrath be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain; because for our sins and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a reproach to all who are around us.
O Pakai, nangman na kitahna leh na hepina jal chun, Jerusalem khopi leh nalhang theng chunga nalung hanna hi, lungset tahin heimang in. Ajeh chu kapu ka pateu chonset jeh leh keiho chonset jeh'in, kaveluva cheng namdang hon nuisat leh seichahin eikoi tauve.
17 “Now therefore, our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his petitions, and cause your face to shine on your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.
18 My God, turn your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by your name; for we do not present our petitions before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies’ sake.
O ka Pathen, hungkun inlang neihin ngaipeh in. Namit hin hasah inlang keiho gim hesohna hi hinven. Namin pua nakhopi jong hinvetan, mangthah in aum tai. Tun, ka taonau hi, keiho ka themnau leh nalung kato jeh’uva nei sanpeh diu hipon tin, na milungset na leh na mihepina jal’a bou na heng’a ka hung taovu ahijoi.
19 Lord, hear. Lord, forgive. Lord, listen and do. Do not defer, for your own sake, my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.”
O Pakai ngaijin, O Pakai ngaidam in! O Pakai gelkhoh inlang bol jengin. O ka Pathen, nang leh nang kigelkhoh inlang, khongai sot tahih in. Ajeh chu, namite leh nakhopi hi, nangma minpua kikou cheh ahiuve.
20 While I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God—
Keima katao jingin, keima chonset leh kamite chonset ka phongin, Jerusalem khopi leh ama lhangtheng’a dingin, Pakai ka Pathen heng’a thumna kaneiyin ahi.
21 yes, while I was speaking in prayer—the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening offering.
Hitia katao jing petin, gaothilmua kamu masah Gabriel chu, kaheng’a ahung kilahin, hichu nilhah lang kilhaina thilto bolphat tah ahi.
22 He instructed me and talked with me, and said, “Daniel, I have now come to give you wisdom and understanding.
Hichun, Gabriel chun keima heng’a asei tai. “Daniel na lungsung mitvah sah ding leh thil hetkhenna nape dinga nakom’a hung kahi.”
23 At the beginning of your petitions the commandment went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved. Therefore consider the matter and understand the vision.
Nangma Pathen heng’a na hungtao kipat chun, thupeh khat ahung um doh tai. Hichu ipi ahi nahil dinga tua hi kahung ahi. Nangma Pathen dingin manlutah nahi. Hijeh chun, themgao thilmua namu chengse hi, ipi kiseina ham, na hetkhen themna dingin, phatechan ngaijin.
24 “Seventy weeks are decreed on your people and on your holy city, to finish disobedience, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.
Namite leh nakhopi theng hi, thilsea kon lhadoh nading, achonset na’u suhbei nading, athemmona’u thoidam nading, chuleh muntheng chungnung’a thaonu kinbol nading, phat chu, hapta somsagi mun sagi, Pathenin atepsa ahi tai.
25 “Know therefore and discern that from the going out of the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem to the Anointed One, the prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troubled times.
Hiche hi ngaijin lang kihettem in! Jerusalem semphat ding kiseidoh’a pat, Pathen thaonu khat vaihom ding hungdoh ding geihi, hapta sagi mun sagi toh hapta somgupleni mun sagi, lhing ding ahi. Chutah leh Jerusalem kisapha-a, kholai lamlen holeh kulpi pal dettah a kisempha ding. Hiche phatsung hi gim hesohna khang hi ding ahi.
26 After the sixty-two weeks the Anointed One will be cut off, and will have nothing. The people of the prince who come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end will be with a flood, and war will be even to the end. Desolations are determined.
Hiche phatsung, hapta somgupleni mun sagi, kichaijou tengleh, Pathen thaonusa mipa chu, boldoh ima neilouva kipaidoh ding ahi. Chuleh mikhat hung lendoh’a vai ahom ding, chuleh amiten khopi leh muntheng asuhmang dingu ahi. Chuteng achaina chu twisoh bang’a hung um ding, chuleh gal hesoh gentheina chu, Pathen tepsa banga achaina geija um ding ahi.
27 He will make a firm covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. On the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate; and even to the decreed full end, wrath will be poured out on the desolate.”
Chuleh vaihompa chun, hapta khatsung ding’a mi tamtah toh, kitepna abol ding, hiche hapta kehkhat jouleh, aman kilhaina thilto ho asuh hai ding ahi. Amapa khansetna chunga, achaina Pathen thutepsa chu twi sunna akisunlhah kahsea, aman thil thet umtah asem doh’a chuleh khopi sugam’a pang ding ahi.
