2 Samuel 5
1 Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and spoke, saying, “Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.
১তাৰ পাছত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সকলো ফৈদে হিব্ৰোণত থকা দায়ূদৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি ক’লে, “চাওঁক, আমি আপোনাৰ হাড় আৰু মঙহ৷
2 In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led Israel out and in. The LORD said to you, ‘You will be shepherd of my people Israel, and you will be prince over Israel.’”
২আৰু আগেয়ে যেতিয়া চৌল আমাৰ ৰজা আছিল, তেতিয়াও আপুনিয়েই ইস্ৰায়েলক বাহিৰলৈ আৰু ভিতৰলৈ অনা নিয়া কৰিছিল৷ আৰু যিহোৱাই আপোনাক কৈছিল, যে, ‘তুমিয়েই ৰখীয়া হৈ মোৰ প্ৰজা ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলক চলাবা আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত অধিপতি হ’বা’।”
3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel.
৩এইদৰে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ আটাই বৃদ্ধলোক হিব্ৰোণত থকা ৰজাৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিল আৰু দায়ুদ ৰজাই হিব্ৰোণত যিহোৱাৰ সাক্ষাতে তেওঁলোকৰ লগত এটি নিয়ম কৰিলে৷ আৰু তেওঁলোকে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত দায়ূদক ৰজা পাতি অভিষেক কৰিলে।
4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
৪দায়ূদে ত্ৰিশ বছৰ বয়সত ৰজা হৈ চল্লিশ বছৰ ৰাজত্ব কৰিলে।
5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah.
৫তেওঁ হিব্ৰোণত যিহূদাৰ ওপৰত সাত বছৰ ছমাহ ৰাজত্ব কৰিলে আৰু যিৰূচালেমত গোটেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ আৰু যিহূদাৰ ওপৰত তেত্ৰিশ বছৰ ৰাজত্ব কৰিলে।
6 The king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who spoke to David, saying, “The blind and the lame will keep you out of here,” thinking, “David cannot come in here.”
৬তাৰ পাছত ৰজা আৰু তেওঁৰ লোকসকলে দেশ-নিবাসী যিবুচীয়াসকলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যিৰূচালেমলৈ বুলি যাত্ৰা কৰিলে৷ তেওঁলোকে দায়ূদক ক’লে, “তুমি এই ঠাইত সোমাবলৈ নাপাবা কিয়নো কণাবোৰে আৰু খোৰা- বোৰেই তোমাক খেদাই দিব; তেওঁলোকে ভাবিছিল, দায়ুদ এই ঠাইত আৰু সোমাব নোৱাৰিব।”
7 Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion. This is David’s city.
৭তথাপিও দায়ূদে চিয়োন দুৰ্গ হাত কৰি ল’লে; সেয়ে দায়ূদৰ নগৰ।
8 David said on that day, “Whoever strikes the Jebusites, let him go up to the watercourse and strike those lame and blind, who are hated by David’s soul.” Therefore they say, “The blind and the lame cannot come into the house.”
৮তেতিয়াই দায়ূদে কৈছিল, “যি কোনোৱে যিবুচীয়াসকলক আক্ৰমণ কৰিব খোজে, তেওঁ পানীৰ নলাইদি উঠি গৈ দায়ূদৰ ঘিণলগীয়া সেই ‘কণা আৰু খোৰা’বোৰক আঘাত কৰক।” এই কাৰণে মানুহে কয়, “ই ‘কণা আৰু খোৰা’বোৰ ৰাজপ্ৰাসাদৰ ভিতৰত সোমাব নোৱাৰিব।”
9 David lived in the stronghold, and called it David’s city. David built around from Millo and inward.
৯তাৰ পাছত দায়ূদে সেই দুৰ্গত নিবাস কৰি, তাৰ নাম দায়ূদৰ নগৰ ৰাখিলে৷ আৰু মিল্লোৰ পৰা ভিতৰৰ চাৰিওফালে গড় নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰিলে।
10 David grew greater and greater, for the LORD, the God of Armies, was with him.
১০পাছত দায়ুদ ক্ৰমে ক্ৰমে বৃদ্ধি পাই মহান হ’ল; কিয়নো বাহিনীসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱা তেওঁৰ লগে লগে আছিল।
11 Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, with cedar trees, carpenters, and masons; and they built David a house.
১১তেতিয়া তূৰৰ ৰজা হীৰমে দায়ূদৰ ওচৰলৈ দূত পঠিয়ালে আৰু এৰচ কাঠ, কাঠমিস্ত্ৰীসকল আৰু ৰাজমিস্ত্ৰীসকলক পঠিয়াই দিলে৷ তেওঁলোকে দায়ূদৰ কাৰণে এটা গৃহ নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰিলে।
12 David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel’s sake.
১২তাতে দায়ূদে জানিলে যিহোৱাই যে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত তেওঁক ৰজা পাতিলে, সেই বাবে নিজৰ প্ৰজা ইস্ৰায়েলসকলৰ বাবে তেওঁৰ ৰাজ্য উন্নত কৰিলে।
13 David took more concubines and wives for himself out of Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron; and more sons and daughters were born to David.
১৩দায়ূদে হিব্ৰোণৰ পৰা অহাৰ পাছত, যিৰূচালেমত আন আন উপপত্নী আৰু পত্নীসমূহক ল’লে, তাতে দায়ূদলৈ আৰু অধিক পো আৰু জী জন্মিল।
14 These are the names of those who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,
১৪যিৰূচালেমত তেওঁলৈ যিসকল সন্তান জন্ম পালে, তেওঁলোকৰ নাম চম্মুৱা, চোবব, নাথন, চলোমন,
15 Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia,
১৫যিভৰ, ইলীচূৱা, নেফগ, যাফীয়া,
16 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet.
১৬ইলীচামা, ইলিয়াদা আৰু ইলীফেলট আছিল।
17 When the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold.
১৭পাছত যেতিয়া দায়ূদক ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত ৰজা অভিষেক কৰা সম্বাদ পালে, তেতিয়া আটাই পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে দায়ূদক বিচাৰিবলৈ উঠি আহিল। দায়ূদে তাকে শুনি দুৰ্গলৈ নামি গ’ল।
18 Now the Philistines had come and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
১৮তেতিয়া পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে আহি ৰফায়ীম উপত্যকা জুৰি ল’লে।
19 David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand?” The LORD said to David, “Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into your hand.”
১৯তেতিয়া দায়ূদে যিহোৱাৰ পৰা সহায় বিচাৰিলে৷ তেওঁক সুধিলে, “মই পলেষ্টীয়াসকলক আক্ৰমণ কৰিম নে? আপুনি তেওঁলোকক মোৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰিব নে?” তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই দায়ূদক ক’লে, “আক্ৰমণ কৰা, কিয়নো মই নিশ্চয়ে ফিলিষ্টীয়াসকলক তোমাৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰিম।”
20 David came to Baal Perazim, and David struck them there. Then he said, “The LORD has broken my enemies before me, like the breach of waters.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.
২০তেতিয়া দায়ূদে বালপৰাচীমলৈ আহি তাতে তেওঁলোকক পৰাজয় কৰিলে৷ তেওঁ মন্তব্য কৰি ক’লে, “যিহোৱাই মোৰ শত্ৰূবোৰক মোৰ সন্মুখত বান পানীয়ে সেতু ভঙাৰ দৰে তেওঁলোকক ভাঙিলে।” এই কাৰণে সেই ঠাইৰ নাম বালপৰাচীম ৰাখা হ’ল।
21 They left their images there, and David and his men took them away.
২১সেই ঠাইতে তেওঁলোকৰ মুৰ্ত্তিবোৰ এৰি থৈ গ’ল; তাতে দায়ুদ আৰু তেওঁৰ লোকসকলে সেইবোৰ লৈ আহিল।
22 The Philistines came up yet again and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
২২তাৰ পাছত পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে আকৌ আহি ৰফায়ীম উপত্যকা জুৰি ল’লে।
23 When David inquired of the LORD, he said, “You shall not go up. Circle around behind them, and attack them in front of the mulberry trees.
২৩তেতিয়া দায়ূদে যিহোৱাৰ পৰা পুনৰ সহায় বিচাৰিলে আৰু যিহোৱাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “তুমি তেওঁলোকৰ সন্মুখেৰে আক্ৰমণ নকৰিবা, বৰং তেওঁলোকৰ পাছফালেদি ঘূৰি গৈ, নুনি গছ কেই জোপাৰ সন্মুখত তেওঁলোকৰ আগত উপস্থিত হ’বা।
24 When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then stir yourself up; for then the LORD has gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines.”
২৪যেতিয়া সেই নুনি গছ কেইজোপাৰ মাজেৰে সৈন্য যোৱাৰ নিছিনা শব্দ শুনিবা, তেতিয়া সৈন্য-সামন্তৰে সৈতে আক্ৰমণ কৰিবা৷ কিয়নো তেতিয়াই যিহোৱাই পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ সৈন্য-সামন্তক আক্রমণ কৰিবৰ অৰ্থে তোমাৰ আগতেই গ’ল, গতিকে তুমি এইদৰেই কৰা৷”
25 David did so, as the LORD commanded him, and struck the Philistines all the way from Geba to Gezer.
২৫তেতিয়া দায়ূদে যিহোৱাৰ আজ্ঞা অনুসাৰে কাৰ্য কৰিলে। তেওঁ গেবাৰ পৰা গেজৰলৈকে পলেষ্টীয়াসকলক বধ কৰিলে।
