< 2 Corinthians 2 >
1 But I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow.
IET me pein ngai kileledier, i solar men pwar wong komail ni ai insensued.
2 For if I make you grieve, then who will make me glad but he who is made to grieve by me?
Pwe ma i kainsensuedi komail, is me pan kak kainsenemau ia la? Ma kaidin i eta, me kainsensuedelar re i.
3 And I wrote this very thing to you, so that when I came, I would not have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all that my joy would be shared by all of you.
Mepukat i inting wong komail er, pwe i ender insensuede kin irail, me i en peren kida, ni ai pan pwara wong komail. A i kamelele komail karos, me ai peren pil pan omail karos.
4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you should be made to grieve, but that you might know the love that I have so abundantly for you.
Pwe ni lokolok o masak en nan mongiong i me lapalap, me i inting kilang sangesang, kaidin pwen kamauki komail, a pwe komail en asada, duen ai limpok ong komail kaualapia.
5 But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow not to me, but in part (that I not press too heavily) to you all.
A ma meamen wiada kainsensued eu, kaidin ngai eta, me a kainsensuedi, pwe i ender non kapung ong, a ele komail karos.
6 This punishment which was inflicted by the many is sufficient for such a one;
A kalokolok sang ren me toto itar ong i.
7 so that, on the contrary, you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his excessive sorrow.
Mak eta komail en maki ong i o kamaitala, pwe a de lodi ong insensued laud.
8 Therefore I beg you to confirm your love toward him.
I ari panaui komail, komail en kasale ong i omail limpok.
9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you are obedient in all things.
I karepen ai inting wong komail, pwe i en asa, ma komail me pung o peiki ong ni meakaros.
10 Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,
A ma komail pan makeki ong meamen meakot, ngai pil pan maki ong i. A ma i makeki ong amen meakot, i makekier pweki komail wilianti Kristus.
11 that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
Pwe Satan ender kotaue kitail, pwe kitail asaer duen a lamelam.
12 Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of Christ, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord,
A ni ai pwaralanger Troas, pwen padaki rongamau en Kristus, o wanim eu me ritida mo i ong Kaun o,
13 I had no relief for my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother, but taking my leave of them, I went out into Macedonia.
I sota insenemaula, ni ngen i, pweki ai sota diar ri ai Titus. I ap kamurimur ong irail daulul wong Masetonien.
14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.
A danke ong Kot, me kotin kaloe kitail di pan Kristus, ap kasansaleki kitail pomau en a erpit wasa karos.
15 For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God in those who are saved and in those who perish:
Pwe kit me pomau en Kristus ong Kot ren me pan dorela o ren me pan lokidokila kan.
16 to the one a stench from death to death, to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?
Ong iet akan po en mela ong kamela, a ong me tei kan po en maur ong kamaurela. A is me kon ong mepukat?
17 For we are not as so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.
Pwe kit so dueta me toto, me kin liliasosaki masan en Kot; a at padak me melel, o a pwili sang Kot, o kin wiaui mon Kot pan Kristus.
