1 Kings 9

1 When Solomon had finished the building of the LORD’s house, the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,

Und da Salomo hatte ausgebauet des HERRN Haus und des Königs Haus und alles, was er begehrete und Lust hatte zu machen,

2 The LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.

erschien ihm der HERR zum andernmal, wie er ihm erschienen war zu Gibeon.

3 The LORD said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before me. I have made this house holy, which you have built, to put my name there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

Und der HERR sprach zu ihm: Ich habe dein Gebet und Flehen gehöret, das du vor mir geflehet hast, und habe dies Haus geheiliget, das du gebauet hast, daß ich meinen Namen daselbst hinsetze ewiglich, und meine Augen und mein Herz sollen da sein allewege.

4 As for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances,

Und du, so du vor mir wandelst, wie dein Vater David gewandelt hat, mit rechtschaffenem Herzen und aufrichtig, daß du tust alles, was ich dir geboten habe, und meine Gebote und meine Rechte hältst,

5 then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised to David your father, saying, ‘There shall not fail from you a man on the throne of Israel.’

so will ich bestätigen den Stuhl deines Königreichs über Israel ewiglich, wie ich deinem Vater David geredet habe und gesagt: Es soll dir nicht gebrechen an einem Manne vom Stuhl Israels.

6 But if you turn away from following me, you or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,

Werdet ihr euch aber von mir hinten abwenden, ihr und eure Kinder, und nicht halten meine Gebote und Rechte, die ich euch vorgelegt habe, und hingehet und andern Göttern dienet, und sie anbetet,

7 then I will cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and I will cast this house, which I have made holy for my name, out of my sight; and Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

so werde ich Israel ausrotten von dem Lande, das ich ihnen gegeben habe; und das Haus, das ich geheiliget habe meinem Namen, will ich verlassen von meinem Angesicht; und Israel wird ein Sprichwort und Fabel sein unter allen Völkern;

8 Though this house is so high, yet everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss; and they will say, ‘Why has the LORD done this to this land and to this house?’

und das Haus wird eingerissen werden, daß alle, die vorübergehen, werden sich entsetzen und blasen und sagen: Warum hat der HERR diesem Lande und diesem Hause also getan?

9 and they will answer, ‘Because they abandoned the LORD their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them, and served them. Therefore the LORD has brought all this evil on them.’”

So wird man antworten: Darum, daß sie den HERRN, ihren Gott, verlassen haben, der ihre Väter aus Ägyptenland führete, und haben angenommen andere Götter und sie angebetet und ihnen gedienet; darum hat der HERR all dies Übel über sie gebracht.

10 At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the two houses, the LORD’s house and the king’s house

Da nun die zwanzig Jahre um waren, in welchen Salomo die zwei Häuser bauete, des HERRN Haus und des Königs Haus,

11 (now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and cypress trees, and with gold, according to all his desire), King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

dazu Hiram, der König zu Tyrus, Salomo Zedernbäume und Tannenbäume und Gold nach all seinem Begehr brachte, da gab der König Salomo Hiram zwanzig Städte im Lande Galiläa.

12 Hiram came out of Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they did not please him.

Und Hiram zog aus von Tyrus, die Städte zu besehen, die ihm Salomo gegeben hatte, und sie gefielen ihm nicht.

13 He said, “What cities are these which you have given me, my brother?” He called them the land of Cabul to this day.

Und sprach: Was sind das für Städte, mein Bruder, die du mir gegeben hast? Und hieß sie das Land Kabul bis auf diesen Tag.

14 Hiram sent to the king one hundred twenty talents of gold.

Und Hiram hatte dem Könige gesandt hundertundzwanzig Zentner Goldes.

15 This is the reason of the forced labor which King Solomon conscripted: to build the LORD’s house, his own house, Millo, Jerusalem’s wall, Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.

Und dasselbe ist die Summa der Zinse, die der König Salomo aufhub, zu bauen des HERRN Haus und sein Haus und Millo und die Mauern Jerusalems und Hazor und Megiddo und Gaser.

16 Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, taken Gezer, burned it with fire, killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it for a wedding gift to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.

Denn Pharao, der König in Ägypten, war heraufkommen und hatte Gaser gewonnen und mit Feuer verbrannt und die Kanaaniter erwürget, die in dem Stadt wohneten, und hatte sie seiner Tochter, Salomos Weibe, zum Geschenk gegeben.

17 Solomon built in the land Gezer, Beth Horon the lower,

Also bauete Salomo Gaser und das niedere Beth-Horon

18 Baalath, Tamar in the wilderness,

und Baelath und Thamar in der Wüste im Lande

19 all the storage cities that Solomon had, the cities for his chariots, the cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

und alle Städte der Kornhäuser, die Salomo hatte, und alle Städte der Wagen und die Städte der Reiter, und wozu er Lust hatte zu bauen, zu Jerusalem, im Libanon und im ganzen Lande seiner HERRSChaft.

20 As for all the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel—

Und alles übrige Volk von den Amoritern, Hethitern, Pheresitern, Hevitern und Jebusitern, die nicht von den Kindern Israel waren,

21 their children who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel were not able utterly to destroy—of them Solomon raised a levy of bondservants to this day.

derselben Kinder, die sie hinter sich überbleiben ließen im Lande, die die Kinder Israel nicht konnten verbannen, die machte Salomo zinsbar bis auf diesen Tag.

22 But of the children of Israel Solomon made no bondservants; but they were the men of war, his servants, his princes, his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.

Aber von den Kindern Israel machte er nicht Knechte, sondern ließ sie Kriegsleute und seine Knechte und Fürsten und Ritter und über seine Wagen und Reiter sein.

23 These were the five hundred fifty chief officers who were over Solomon’s work, who ruled over the people who labored in the work.

Und der Amtleute, die über Salomos Geschäfte waren, der waren fünfhundertundfünfzig, die über das Volk herrscheten und die Geschäfte ausrichteten.

24 But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of David’s city to her house which Solomon had built for her. Then he built Millo.

Und die Tochter Pharaos zog herauf von der Stadt Davids in ihr Haus, das er für sie gebauet hatte. Da bauete er auch Millo.

25 Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to the LORD three times per year, burning incense with them on the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.

Und Salomo opferte des Jahrs dreimal Brandopfer und Dankopfer auf dem Altar, den er dem HERRN gebauet hatte, und räucherte über ihm vor dem HERRN. Und ward also das Haus fertig.

26 King Solomon made a fleet of ships in Ezion Geber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.

Und Salomo machte auch Schiffe zu Ezeon-Geber, die bei Eloth liegt, am Ufer des Schilfmeers, im Lande der Edomiter.

27 Hiram sent in the fleet his servants, sailors who had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.

Und Hiram sandte seine Knechte im Schiff, die gute Schiffsleute und auf dem Meer erfahren waren, mit den Knechten Salomos.

28 They came to Ophir, and fetched from there gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to King Solomon.

Und kamen gen Ophir und holeten daselbst vierhundertundzwanzig Zentner Goldes und brachten es dem Könige Salomo.
