1 Corinthians 5
1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles, that one has his father’s wife.
Es ya del dominio público que entre vosotros hay fornicación, y fornicación tal, cual ni siquiera entre los gentiles, a saber: que uno tenga la mujer de su padre.
2 You are arrogant, and did not mourn instead, that he who had done this deed might be removed from among you.
Y vosotros estáis engreídos, en vez de andar de luto, para que sea quitado de en medio de vosotros el que tal hizo.
3 For I most certainly, as being absent in body but present in spirit, have already, as though I were present, judged him who has done this thing.
Pero yo, aunque ausente en cuerpo, mas presente en espíritu, he juzgado, como si estuviese presente, al que tal hizo.
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together with my spirit with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Congregados en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús vosotros y mi espíritu, con el poder de nuestro Señor Jesús,
5 you are to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
sea entregado ese tal a Satanás, para destrucción de su carne, a fin de que el espíritu sea salvo en el día del Señor Jesús.
6 Your boasting is not good. Do not you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?
No es bueno que os jactéis así. ¿Acaso no sabéis que poca levadura pudre toda la masa?
7 Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.
Expurgad la vieja levadura, para que seáis una masa nueva, así como sois ázimos porque ya nuestra Pascua, Cristo, ha sido inmolada.
8 Therefore let’s keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Festejemos, pues, no con levadura añeja ni con levadura de malicia y de maldad, sino con ázimos de sinceridad y de verdad.
9 I wrote to you in my letter to have no company with sexual sinners;
Os escribí en la carta que no tuvieseis trato con los fornicarios.
10 yet not at all meaning with the sexual sinners of this world, or with the covetous and extortionists, or with idolaters, for then you would have to leave the world.
No digo con los fornicarios de este mundo en general, o con los avaros, ladrones o idólatras, pues entonces tendríais que salir del mundo.
11 But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortionist. Do not even eat with such a person.
Mas lo que ahora os escribo es que no tengáis trato con ninguno que, llamándose hermano, sea fornicario, o avaro, o idólatra, o maldiciente, o borracho, o ladrón; con ese tal ni siquiera toméis bocado.
12 For what do I have to do with also judging those who are outside? Do not you judge those who are within?
pues ¿qué tengo yo que juzgar a los de afuera? ¿No es a los de adentro a quienes habéis de juzgar?
13 But those who are outside, God judges. “Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.”
A los que son de afuera los juzgará Dios: “Quitad al malvado de en medio de vosotros”.
