Zechariah 9
1 The burden of the word of Jehovah upon the land of Hadrach, and Damascus its resting-place (for the eye of man and of all the tribes of Israel is toward Jehovah),
Carga da palavra do Senhor contra a terra de Haldrach, e Damasco será o seu repouso; porque o Senhor tem o olho sobre o homem, como sobre todas as tribos de Israel.
2 and also Hamath, which borders on it, Tyre and Sidon, because they are very wise.
E também Hamath nela terá termo: Tiro e Sidon, ainda que seja mui sabia.
3 And Tyre built herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
E Tiro edificou para si fortalezas, e amontoou prata como o pó, e ouro fino como a lama das ruas.
4 Behold, the Lord will dispossess her, and he will smite her power in the sea, and she shall be devoured with fire.
Eis que o Senhor a arrancará da posse, e ferirá no mar a sua força, e ela será consumida pelo fogo.
5 Ashkelon shall see it, and fear, Gaza also, and shall be greatly pained, and Ekron, for her expectation shall be put to shame. And the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
Ascalon o verá e temerá, também Gaza, e terá grande dor; como também Ekron; porque a sua esperança será envergonhada; e o rei de Gaza perecerá, e Ascalon não será habitada
6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
E um bastardo habitará em Asdod, e exterminarei a soberba dos philisteus.
7 And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth. And he also shall be a remnant for our God, and he shall be as a chieftain in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
E da sua boca tirarei o seu sangue, e dentre os seus dentes as suas abominações; e ele também ficará de resto para o nosso Deus; e será como príncipe em Judá, e Ekron como o jebuseu.
8 And I will encamp the army around my house, that none pass through or return, and no oppressor shall pass through them any more. For now I have seen with my eyes.
E me acamparei ao redor da minha casa, por causa do exército, por causa do que passa, e por causa do que volta, para que não passe mais sobre eles o exator; porque agora já o vi com os meus olhos.
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, thy king comes to thee. He is just, and having salvation, lowly, and riding upon a donkey, even upon a colt the foal of a donkey.
Alegra-te muito, ó filha de Sião; exulta, ó filha de Jerusalém: eis que o teu rei virá a ti, justo e Salvador, pobre, e montado sobre um jumento, sobre um asninho, filho de jumenta.
10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off. And he shall speak peace to the nations. And his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
E destruirei os carros de Ephraim e os cavalos de Jerusalém: também o arco de guerra será destruído, e ele falará paz às nações; e o seu domínio se estenderá de um mar até outro mar, e desde o rio até às extremidades da terra
11 As for thee also, because of the blood of thy covenant I have set free thy prisoners from the pit in which is no water.
Quanto a ti também ó Sião, pelo sangue do teu concerto, soltei os teus presos da cova em que não havia água.
12 Turn you back to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will render double to thee.
Voltai à fortaleza ó presos de esperança: também hoje vos anuncío que vos renderei em dobro.
13 For I have bent Judah for me. I have filled the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty man.
Quando estendi Judá para mim como um arco, e enchi com Ephraim o arco, suscitarei a teus filhos, ó Sião, contra os teus filhos, ó Grécia! e pôr-te-ei como a espada de um valente.
14 And Jehovah shall be seen over them. And his arrow shall go forth as the lightning. And the lord Jehovah will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.
E o Senhor será visto sobre eles, e as suas flechas sairão como o relâmpago; e o Senhor Jehovah tocará buzina, e irá com os redemoinhos do sul
15 Jehovah of hosts will defend them. And they shall devour, and shall tread down the sling-stones. And they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine, and they shall be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.
O Senhor dos exércitos os amparará, e comerão, depois que os tiverem sujeitado as pedras da funda: também beberão e farão alvoroço como de vinho; e encher-se-ão como a bacia, como os cantos do altar
16 And Jehovah their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people, as for the stones of a crown, lifted on high over his land.
E o Senhor seu Deus naquele dia os salvará, como ao rebanho do seu povo; porque como as pedras da coroa serão levantados na sua terra, como bandeira.
17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.
Porque, quão grande é a sua bondade! e quão grande é a sua formosura! o trigo fará falar os mancebos e o mosto as donzelas.
