Zechariah 11
1 Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
லெபனோனே, நெருப்பு உன் கேதுரு மரங்களை எரிக்கும்படி உன் கதவுகளைத் திற.
2 Wail, O fir tree, for the cedar is fallen, because the fine ones are destroyed. Wail, O ye oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest has come down.
தேவதாரு மரங்களே, புலம்பி அழுங்கள். கேதுரு மரங்கள் வீழ்ந்தன; சிறந்த மரங்கள் அழிக்கப்பட்டன. பாசானின் கர்வாலி மரங்களே, புலம்பியழுங்கள். ஏனெனில் அடர்ந்த காடு வெட்டி வீழ்த்தப்பட்டது.
3 A voice of the wailing of the shepherds, for their glory is destroyed. A voice of the roaring of young lions, for the pride of the Jordan is laid waste.
மேய்ப்பரின் புலம்பலைக் கேளுங்கள். அவர்களின் செழிப்பான பசும்புல் தரை அழிக்கப்பட்டது; சிங்கங்களின் கர்ச்சனையைக் கேளுங்கள். யோர்தானின் அடர்ந்த புதர் அழிந்திருக்கிறது.
4 Thus said Jehovah my God: Feed the flock of slaughter,
என் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: “வெட்டுவதற்குக் குறிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் மந்தையை மேய்ப்பாயாக.
5 whose possessors kill them, and hold themselves not guilty. And those who sell them say, Blessed be Jehovah, for I am rich, and their own shepherds pity them not.
அவைகளை வாங்குகிறவர்களோ அவைகளைக் கொலைசெய்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் தண்டிக்கப்படாமல் தப்பித்துக்கொள்கிறார்கள். அவைகளை விற்கிறவர்களோ, ‘யெகோவாவுக்குத் துதி; நான் செல்வந்தன்’ என்று சொல்கிறார்கள். அவைகளின் சொந்த மேய்ப்பர்களோ, அவைகளைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளவில்லையே.
6 For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, says Jehovah. But, lo, I will deliver the men each one into his neighbor's hand, and into the hand of his king. And they shall smite the land, and I will not deliver them out of their hand.
அதுபோல இந்நாட்டு மக்கள்மேல் இனி ஒருபோதும் நான் இரக்கங்காட்டமாட்டேன்” என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார். “அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவனையும், அவன் அயலானின் கைகளிலும் அரசனின் கைகளிலும், நான் ஒப்படைப்பேன். அவர்கள் நாட்டை ஒடுக்குவார்கள். நான் அவர்களின் கைகளிலிருந்து இவர்களைத் தப்புவிக்க மாட்டேன்.”
7 So I fed the flock of slaughter, truly the poor of the flock. And I took to me two staves, the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands, and I fed the flock.
எனவே வெட்டப்படுவதற்கென குறிக்கப்பட்ட மந்தையை நான் மேய்த்தேன். முக்கியமாக மந்தையில் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டதை நான் பராமரித்தேன். அப்பொழுது மேய்ப்பனின் இரண்டு கோல்களை எடுத்து, ஒன்றிக்கு தயவு என்றும், மற்றொன்றிற்கு ஐக்கியம் என்றும் பெயரிட்டேன். நான் மந்தைகளை அவற்றால் மேய்த்தேன்.
8 And I cut off the three shepherds in one month, for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.
ஒரே மாதத்தில் மூன்று பயனற்ற மேய்ப்பர்களை அகற்றினேன். ஆனால் அந்த மந்தையும் என்னை அருவருத்தது. நானும் அவற்றைக்குறித்து சலிப்படைந்தேன்.
9 Then I said, I will not feed you. That which dies, let it die, and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off, and let those who are left eat each one the flesh of another.
நான் அவர்களிடம், “நான் உங்கள் மேய்ப்பனாயிருக்க மாட்டேன். சாகிறது சாகட்டும், அழிகிறது அழியட்டும். மீதியாயிருப்பவை ஒன்றின் மாமிசத்தை மற்றொன்று தின்னட்டும் என்றேன்.”
10 And I took my staff Beauty, and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.
அப்பொழுது நான் தயவு என்கிற என் கோலை எடுத்து முறித்துப் போட்டேன், அதனால் இறைவன் எல்லா நாடுகளுடனும் செய்துகொண்ட உடன்படிக்கையை இல்லாமல் செய்துவிட்டார் என்பது தெரிந்தது.
11 And it was broken in that day, and thus the poor of the flock who gave heed to me knew that it was the word of Jehovah.
அந்த நாளிலே அது தள்ளுபடியாயிற்று, எனவே என்னைக் கவனித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த மந்தையில் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள், இது யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை என்பதை அறிந்துகொண்டார்கள்.
12 And I said to them, If ye think good, give me my wage, and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my wage thirty pieces of silver.
அப்பொழுது நான் அவர்களிடம், “அது நல்லது என நீங்கள் கருதினால் எனது கூலியைக் கொடுங்கள்; இல்லையெனில், வைத்திருங்கள் என்றேன்.” அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் எனக்குக் கூலியாக முப்பது வெள்ளிக்காசைக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
13 And Jehovah said to me, Cast it to the potter, the good price that I was valued by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of Jehovah.
அதன்பின் யெகோவா என்னிடம், “அதைக் குயவனிடத்தில் எறிந்துவிடு” இதுவே எனக்கென அவர்கள் மதிப்பிட்ட மேன்மையான விலை! என்று சொன்னார். அவ்வாறே நான் அந்த முப்பது வெள்ளிக்காசை எடுத்து யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திலிருந்த குயவனிடத்தில் எறிந்துவிட்டேன்.
14 Then I cut apart my other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
பின்பு நான் ஐக்கியம் என்னும் எனது இரண்டாவது கோலையும் முறித்துப் போட்டேன். அப்படியே யூதாவுக்கும் இஸ்ரயேலுக்கும் இடையிலுள்ள ஐக்கியத்தையும் குலைத்துவிட்டேன்.
15 And Jehovah said to me, Take to thee yet again the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
அதன்பின் யெகோவா எனக்குக் கூறியது இதுவே, “மறுபடியும் நீ மதியற்ற ஒரு மேய்ப்பனுக்குரிய கருவிகளை எடுத்துக்கொள்.
16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit those who are cut off, nor will he seek those who are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound, but he will eat the flesh of the fat, and will tear their hoofs in pieces.
ஏனெனில் இதோ பார்! நான் இந்த நாட்டின்மேல் ஒரு மேய்ப்பனை எழும்பப் பண்ணுவேன். அவன் காணாமல் போவதைக் கவனிக்கவோ, குட்டிகளைத் தேடவோ, காயமுற்றதைக் குணமாக்கவோ, நலமானவற்றிற்கு உணவளித்துப் பராமரிக்கவோமாட்டான். ஆனால் கொழுத்த ஆடுகளின் குளம்புகளைக் கிழித்து அதன் இறைச்சியைத் தின்பான்.
17 Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye. His arm shall be entirely dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
“மந்தையைக் கைவிடுகிற பயனற்ற மேய்ப்பனுக்கு ஐயோ கேடு, அவனுடைய புயத்தையும், வலது கண்ணையும் வாள் தாக்கட்டும். அவனுடைய புயம் முழுவதும் சூம்பிப் போகட்டும். அவனுடைய வலது கண் முற்றிலும் குருடாகட்டும்!”
