Romans 7
1 Or are ye ignorant, brothers (for I speak to men who know the law), that the law has dominion over the man for as long a time as he lives?

2 For the woman under authority to the living husband has been bound by law, but if the husband should die, she has been released from the law of the husband.
Au fee conto mia hohoro-lalaneꞌ soaꞌ neu mana masaoꞌ ra. Mete ma inaꞌ esa sao nala saon, tungga hukun hohoro-lalaneꞌ a, na, ruꞌa se esa saon esa losa mate. Te mete ma touꞌ a mate, na, ina falu naa nda nenefutu-paꞌaꞌ no hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa sa ena. De ana bisa sao seluꞌ.
3 So then, of the living husband, she will be called an adulteress if she becomes to another man, but if the husband should die, she is free from the law, for her not to be an adulteress having become to another man.
Te mete ma inaꞌ a sao seluꞌ leleꞌ saon feꞌe masodꞌaꞌ, na, tungga hohoro-lalaneꞌ a, ana hohongge ena. Te, mete ma saon mate ena, na, hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa nda dai e sa ena. Eni nenemboꞌit ena. Dadꞌi mete ma ana sao seluꞌ no touꞌ laen, na, tungga hohoro-lalaneꞌ a, na eni nda hohongge sa.
4 Therefore, my brothers, ye also became dead to the law through the body of Christ in order for ye to become to another, to him who was raised from the dead, so that we would bear fruit to God.

5 For when we were in the flesh, the passions of the sins were working in our body-parts (through the law) in order to bear fruit to death.

6 But now we have been released from the law, having died to what we were held, so as for us to serve in newness of spirit, and not in oldness of a document.

7 What will we say then? The law is sin? May it not happen! Yet I did not know sin except through law. For likewise I would not have known lust, if the law did not say, Thou shall not covet.
Dadꞌi hita tae saa fai? Mbei ma hei duꞌa mae, “Hohoro-lalaneꞌ fo Lamatuaꞌ fee Musa naa, sala!” Hokoꞌ! 8 But sin, having taken opportunity through the commandment, wrought in me every evil desire, for apart from law sin is dead.
Te, huu hambu hohoro-lalaneꞌ mana nafadꞌe taꞌo naa, naa onaꞌ dꞌala-dꞌala deꞌulakaꞌ sia rala ngga tao fee au hii ae haꞌi ala atahori sudꞌiꞌ a saa nara mataꞌ-mataꞌ. Mete ma nda hambu hohoro-lalaneꞌ ena-ai sa, na, sala-kiluꞌ a nda naꞌena koasa fo nalalao atahori sa.
9 And I was alive once apart from law, but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Mia masodꞌa dalahulu ngga, au nda uhine matetuꞌ dalaꞌ mia Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen sa. Dꞌodꞌoo, dei de au feꞌe uhine matetuꞌ ena. Naa de au feꞌe uhine ae, au ulena-langga Hohoro-lalaneꞌ a ma tao sala-kiluꞌ. Ma sala-kiluꞌ a hahambun, naeni au musi mate.
10 And I found to me, the commandment being for life, this is for death.

11 For sin, having taken opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.
Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa, memaꞌ natudꞌu dꞌala masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ. Te huu hambu deꞌulakaꞌ mana nasodꞌa sia rala ngga, au tipu-laka ala baliꞌ ao ngga, de duꞌa ae, au bisa maloleꞌ o Lamatuaꞌ sadꞌi au tao tungga Hohoro-lalanen. 12 So the law is indeed holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.
Dadꞌi mete ma faaꞌ ra atahori oi, “Hohoro-lalaneꞌ fo Lamatuaꞌ fee neu Musa naa, sala,” na, au utaa ae, “Hokoꞌ! Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen naa, meumareꞌ” Boe ma basa parendaꞌ mana sia Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa, meumareꞌ, ndoo-tetuꞌ, ma maloleꞌ.
13 Has therefore what is good become death to me? May it not happen! Instead, it is sin, so that it might be revealed, sin working death in me through what is good, so that through the commandment sin might become sinful to extreme.
Mbei ma hei o duꞌa mae, Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa mana tao Lamatuaꞌ hiruꞌ nasadꞌea au, to? Hokoꞌ! Te mae au bubꞌuluꞌ Hohoro-lalaneꞌ naa, te au feꞌe rena neu deꞌulakaꞌ mana sia rala ngga, losa au tao sala-kiluꞌ. Naa, au ue-tatao sala ngga naa, mana tao fee Lamatuaꞌ hiruꞌ nasadꞌea au. Hohoro-lalaneꞌ memaꞌ maloleꞌ, huu ana natudꞌu dꞌala-dꞌala deꞌulakaꞌ, mana tao nggita saranggaa to Lamatualain. Dadꞌi leleꞌ Lamatuaꞌ natudꞌu dꞌala masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ, Hohoro lalaneꞌ naa mana tao manggarelo nae, dꞌala deꞌulakaꞌ mana sia rala tara naa, nda maloleꞌ sa.
14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, having been sold under sin.
Hita bubꞌuluꞌ tae, Hohoro-lalaneꞌ fo Lamatuaꞌ fee neu baꞌi Musa, naa laoꞌ mia Lamatuaꞌ Dula-dalen. Te au ia atahori biasa de rala ngga nda manggateeꞌ sa. 15 For I do not understand what I do, for I do not do this that I want, but what I hate, this I do.

16 But if I do this that I do not want, I agree with the law that it is good.

17 But now I no longer perform it, but the sin dwelling in me.

18 For I know that good does not dwell in me, that is, in my flesh, for to will is present in me, but to do the good, I find not.

19 For I do not do good that I want, instead, wrong that I do not want, this I do.
Au hii ae tao maloleꞌ, te au nda tao sa. Ma au nda nau tao deꞌulakaꞌ sa, te au tao ukundooꞌ a!
20 But if I do this that I do not want, I no longer perform it, but sin dwelling in me.

21 Consequently I find the law in my wanting to do good, that evil is present in me.

22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inner man,
Tao-tao te, rala ngga namahoꞌo seli, mete ma au duꞌa soꞌal Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalanen.
23 but I see a different law in my body-parts, warring against the law of my mind, and taking me captive in the law of sin, which is in my body-parts.
Te, onaꞌ hambu koasa sia rala ngga mana tao nambalutu au. Huu, au nau tao maloleꞌ, te nda dadꞌi maloleꞌ sa. Naa onaꞌ koasa deꞌulakaꞌ mana sia rala ngga toꞌu nala au, fo naꞌasusuuꞌ au tunggaꞌ a eni.
24 I am a wretched man. Who will rescue me out of the body of this death?
Aduu, kasian, e! Au atahori mana doidꞌosoꞌ! See bisa fee masodꞌaꞌ neu au mia koasa deꞌulakaꞌ mana nasodꞌa sia rala ngga, mana tao Lamatuaꞌ melumudꞌu au losa Ana hiruꞌ nasadꞌea au?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then, I of myself in the mind indeed serve a law of God, but in the flesh a law of sin.
