< Psalms 92 >

1 It is a good thing to give thanks to Jehovah, and to sing praises to thy name, O Most High,
Psalam. Pjesma. Za dan subotnji. Dobro je slaviti Jahvu, pjevati imenu tvome, Svevišnji;
2 to show forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
naviještati jutrom ljubav tvoju i noću vjernost tvoju,
3 with an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery, with a solemn sound upon the harp.
uz harfu od deset žica i liru, s pjesmom uz citaru.
4 For thou, Jehovah, have made me glad through thy work. I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
Obradovao si me djelima svojim, o Jahve, kličem zbog djela ruku tvojih.
5 How great are thy works, O Jehovah! Thy thoughts are very deep.
Kako su silna djela tvoja, o Jahve, i duboki naumi tvoji!
6 A brutish man knows not, nor does a fool understand this.
Bezuman čovjek ne spoznaje, luđak ne shvaća.
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they shall be destroyed forever,
Sve ako bi bezbošci nicali k'o trava i cvali svi što zlo čine, određeni su za vječnu propast;
8 but thou, O Jehovah, are on high for evermore.
a ti, Jahve, dovijeka uzvišen ostaješ.
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish. All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
Doista, dušmani tvoji, o Jahve, tvoji će dušmani propasti; raspršit će se svi što čine zlo.
10 But thou have exalted my horn like the wild ox's. I am anointed with fresh oil,
Rog si mi digao k'o u bivola, pomazao me uljem prečistim;
11 and my eye has seen my enemies. My ears have heard of the evildoers who rise up against me.
i oko mi s visoka gleda dušmane i uho mirno sluša o onima što na me ustaju.
12 A righteous man shall flourish like the palm tree. He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
K'o palma cvate pravednik i raste k'o cedar libanonski.
13 Men who are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God.
Zasađeni u Domu Jahvinu, cvatu u dvorima Boga našega.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age. They shall be full of sap and green
Rod donose i u starosti, sočni i puni svježine:
15 to show that Jehovah is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
da navijeste kako je pravedan Jahve, Hrid moja, onaj na kome nema nepravde.
