Psalms 86
1 Bow down thine ear, O Jehovah, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.
Une prière de David. Écoute, Yahvé, et réponds-moi, car je suis pauvre et nécessiteux.
2 Preserve my soul, for I am devout. O thou my God, save thy servant who trusts in thee.
Préserve mon âme, car je suis pieux. Toi, mon Dieu, tu sauves ton serviteur qui se confie en toi.
3 Be merciful to me, O Lord, for to thee do I cry all the day long.
Sois miséricordieux envers moi, Seigneur, car je t'appelle toute la journée.
4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant, for to thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
Rends la joie à l'âme de ton serviteur, car c'est vers toi, Seigneur, que j'élève mon âme.
5 For thou, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in loving kindness to all those who call upon thee.
Car toi, Seigneur, tu es bon, et prêt à pardonner, abondant en bonté aimante envers tous ceux qui font appel à toi.
6 Give ear, O Jehovah, to my prayer, and hearken to the voice of my supplications.
Écoute, Yahvé, ma prière. Écoutez la voix de mes requêtes.
7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee, for thou will answer me.
Au jour de ma détresse, je t'invoquerai, car tu me répondras.
8 There is none like thee among the gods, O Lord, nor like thy works.
Il n'y a personne comme toi parmi les dieux, Seigneur, ni aucun acte semblable à vos actes.
9 All nations whom thou have made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord, and they shall glorify thy name.
Toutes les nations que tu as créées viendront se prosterner devant toi, Seigneur. Ils glorifieront ton nom.
10 For thou are great, and do wondrous things. Thou alone are God.
Car tu es grand, et tu fais des choses merveilleuses. Vous êtes Dieu seul.
11 Teach me thy way, O Jehovah, I will walk in thy truth. Unite my heart to fear thy name.
Enseigne-moi ta voie, Yahvé. Je marcherai dans ta vérité. Fais que mon cœur soit uni pour craindre ton nom.
12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
Je te louerai, Seigneur mon Dieu, de tout mon cœur. Je glorifierai ton nom pour toujours.
13 For great is thy loving kindness toward me, and thou have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Car ta bonté est grande envers moi. Tu as délivré mon âme du plus bas des enfers. (Sheol h7585)
14 O God, the proud have risen up against me, and a company of violent men have sought after my soul, and have not set thee before them.
Dieu, les orgueilleux se sont levés contre moi. Une troupe d'hommes violents a cherché mon âme, et ils n'ont pas d'égard pour vous devant eux.
15 But thou, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.
Mais toi, Seigneur, tu es un Dieu miséricordieux et compatissant, lent à la colère, et abondant en bonté et en vérité.
16 O turn to me, and have mercy upon me. Give thy strength to thy servant, and save the son of thy handmaid.
Tournez-vous vers moi, et ayez pitié de moi! Donne ta force à ton serviteur. Sauve le fils de ton serviteur.
17 Show me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it, and be put to shame, because thou, Jehovah, have helped me, and comforted me.
Montre-moi un signe de ta bonté, afin que ceux qui me haïssent puissent le voir et en avoir honte, car toi, Yahvé, tu m'as aidé et réconforté.
