Psalms 84
1 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!
Athandeka kangakanani amathente akho, Nkosi yamabandla!
2 My soul longs, yea, even faints for the courts of Jehovah. My heart and my flesh cry out to the living God.
Umphefumulo wami uyalangatha, yebo ngitsho, uyaphela yikunxwanela amaguma eNkosi. Inhliziyo yami lenyama yami kuyakhala kuNkulunkulu ophilayo.
3 Yea, the sparrow has found her a house, and the swallow a nest for herself where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Jehovah of hosts, my King and my God.
Intaka layo iyathola indlu, lenkonjane isidleke sayo, lapho engabeka khona abantwana bayo, amalathi akho, Nkosi yamabandla, Nkosi yami, loNkulunkulu wami.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in thy house. They will still be praising thee. (Selah)
Babusisiwe abahlala endlini yakho, bazahlala bedumisa wena. (Sela)
5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.
Ubusisiwe umuntu omandla akhe akuwe, okukhona imigwaqo emikhulu enhliziyweni yabo.
6 Passing through the valley of weeping they make it a place of springs. Yea, the early rain covers it with blessings.
Abadabula isihotsha seBaka basenza sibe ngumthombo; yebo, insewula iyakugoqela ngezibusiso.
7 They go from strength to strength; each one of them appears before God in Zion.
Bahamba besuka emandleni besiya emandleni, ngulowo lalowo abonakale phambi kukaNkulunkulu eZiyoni.
8 O Jehovah God of hosts, hear my prayer. Give ear, O God of Jacob. (Selah)
Nkosi Nkulunkulu wamabandla, zwana umkhuleko wami, ubeke indlebe, Nkulunkulu kaJakobe. (Sela)
9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
Nkulunkulu, sihlangu sethu, khangela ubone ubuso bogcotshiweyo wakho.
10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Ngoba usuku emagumeni akho lungcono kulenkulungwane. Ngikhetha ukuba sembundwini womnyango endlini kaNkulunkulu wami kulokuhlala emathenteni enkohlakalo.
11 For Jehovah God is a sun and a shield. Jehovah will give grace and glory. He will withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly.
Ngoba iNkosi uNkulunkulu ililanga lesihlangu; iNkosi izakupha umusa lodumo; kayibagodleli okuhle abahamba ngobuqotho.
12 O Jehovah of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in thee.
Nkosi yamabandla, ubusisiwe umuntu othemba kuwe.
