Psalms 83
1 O God, keep thou not silence. Hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
Песнь. Псалом Асафа. Боже! Не премолчи, не безмолвствуй и не оставайся в покое, Боже,
2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult, and those who hate thee have lifted up the head.
ибо вот, враги Твои шумят, и ненавидящие Тебя подняли голову;
3 They take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult together against thy hidden ones.
против народа Твоего составили коварный умысел и совещаются против хранимых Тобою;
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
сказали: “пойдем и истребим их из народов, чтобы не вспоминалось более имя Израиля.”
5 For they have consulted together with one consent. They make a covenant against thee:
Сговорились единодушно, заключили против Тебя союз:
6 the tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagarenes,
селения Едомовы и Измаильтяне, Моав и Агаряне,
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre,
Гевал и Аммон и Амалик, Филистимляне с жителями Тира.
8 Assyria also is joined with them; they have helped the sons of Lot. (Selah)
И Ассур пристал к ним: они стали мышцею для сынов Лотовых.
9 Do thou to them as to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon,
Сделай им то же, что Мадиаму, что Сисаре, что Иавину у потока Киссона,
10 who perished at Endor, who became as dung for the earth.
которые истреблены в Аендоре, сделались навозом для земли.
11 Make their ranking men like Oreb and Zeeb, yea, all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna,
Поступи с ними, с князьями их, как с Оривом и Зивом и со всеми вождями их, как с Зевеем и Салманом,
12 who said, Let us take to ourselves in possession the habitations of God.
которые говорили: “возьмем себе во владение селения Божии”.
13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust, as stubble before the wind,
Боже мой! Да будут они, как пыль в вихре, как солома перед ветром.
14 as the fire that burns the forest, and as the flame that sets the mountains on fire.
Как огонь сжигает лес, и как пламя опаляет горы,
15 So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy storm.
так погони их бурею Твоею и вихрем Твоим приведи их в смятение;
16 Fill their faces with confusion, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.
исполни лица их бесчестием, чтобы они взыскали имя Твое, Господи!
17 Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever. Yea, let them be confounded and perish,
Да постыдятся и смятутся на веки, да посрамятся и погибнут,
18 that they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, are the Most High over all the earth.
и да познают, что Ты, Которого одного имя Господь, Всевышний над всею землею.
