Psalms 82

1 God stands in the congregation of God. He judges among the gods.

詠【警告為民長者】阿撒夫的詩歌。 天主親臨眾神的會議，在眾神之中主張公理：

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and respect the persons of the wicked? (Selah)

你們不正義審理，偏袒惡人要到何時？ （休止）

3 Judge the poor man and the orphan. Do justice to the afflicted and destitute man.

你們應保護受苦的人和孤兒，為貧窮與可憐的人主持正義。

4 Rescue the poor and needy man. Deliver from the hand of the wicked man.

應拯救弱小及窮苦的人，由惡人的爪牙拯救他們。

5 They know not, nor do they understand. They walk to and fro in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

他們原本無知無識，在暗中摸索，卻把大地的一切根基動搖。

6 I said, Ye are gods, and all of you sons of the Most High.

我親自說過：你們都是神，眾人都是至高者的子民。

7 Nevertheless ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.

但是你們必要死亡像眾人一樣，必要消失像任何一位王侯一樣。

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth, for thou shall inherit all the nations.

天主，求您起來審判下土，因為萬國都應由您佔據。
