Psalms 77
1 I will cry to God with my voice, even to God with my voice, and he will give ear to me.
Auf den Siegesspender, für Zurückgezogene, von Asaph, ein Lied. Zu Gott erheb ich meiner Klage Stimme, zu Gott nur meine Stimme: "Du, mein Gott! Horch auf!"
2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and slacked not. My soul refused to be comforted.
In meiner Notzeit suche ich den Herrn; mein Ringen währt ohn' Ende in der Nacht, und meine Seele läßt sich nimmer trösten.
3 I remember God, and am disquieted. I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed. (Selah)
Wenn Gottes ich gedenke, muß ich seufzen. Und überlege ich, verzagt mein Geist. (Sela)
4 Thou have held my eyelids watching. I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
Die Augenlider bannst Du mir; verstört bin ich und ohne Sprache.
5 I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
Ich überdenke alte Tage, die Jahre der Vergangenheit.
6 I call to remembrance my song in the night. I commune with my own heart, and my spirit makes diligent search.
Bedenke ich des Nachts mein Leiden, erwäge ich's in meinem Sinn, dann forscht mein Geist:
7 Will the Lord cast off forever? And will he be favorable no more?
"Verstößt der Herr denn ewiglich? Ist er denn niemals wieder gnädig?
8 Has his loving kindness entirely gone forever? Does his promise fail for evermore?
Hat seine Huld für immer aufgehört? Hat die Verheißung ganz und gar ein Ende?
9 Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his tender mercies? (Selah)
Hat Gott das Gnädigsein verlernt? Hält er erzürnt sein Mitleid auf?" (Sela)
10 And I said, This is my infirmity, the change of the right hand of the Most High.
Da sag ich mir: "Das ist mein Kummer, daß sich geändert hat des Höchsten Rechte."
11 I will make mention of the deeds of Jehovah, for I will remember thy wonders of old.
Ich bin der Werke eingedenk des Herrn, betrachte jetzt Dein Wunderwalten in der Vorzeit
12 I will meditate also upon all thy work, and muse on thy doings.
und überlege all Dein Tun und sinne Deinen Taten nach.
13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary. Who is a great god like God?
Dein Weg ist heilig, Gott. Wer ist ein Gott, so groß wie Gott?
14 Thou are the God who does wonders. Thou have made known thy strength among the peoples.
Du bist der Gott, der Wunder tut. So offenbare an den Völkern Deine Macht!
15 With thine arm thou have redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
Erlös mit Macht Dein Volk, des Jakob und des Joseph Söhne. (Sela)
16 The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee. They were afraid. The depths also trembled.
Die Wasser seh'n Dich, Gott. Die Wasser sehen Dich und beben; selbst Meerestiefen zittern.
17 The clouds poured out water. The skies sent out a sound. Thine arrows also went abroad.
Ausströmen Wolken Wasser, und das Gewölke donnert, es fliegen Deine Pfeile hin und her.
18 The voice of thy thunder was in the whirlwind. The lightnings lightened the world. The earth trembled and shook.
Zu Deinem Donner, rollend, krachend, leuchten Deine Blitze. Der Erdkreis zittert und die Erde bebt.
19 Thy way was in the sea, and thy paths in the great waters. And thy footsteps were not known.
Dein Weg geht durch das Meer, Dein Pfad durch große Wasser, doch unkenntlich ist Deine Spur.
20 Thou led thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Du führst Dein Volk gleich einer Herdean Mosis und an Aarons Hand.
