Psalms 72
1 Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness to the king's son.
শলোমনের গীত। হে ঈশ্বর, তুমি রাজাকে ন্যায়পরায়ণতা আর রাজপুত্রকে ধার্মিকতা প্রদান করো।
2 He will judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with justice.
তিনি ধার্মিকতায় তোমার ভক্তদের আর ন্যায়পরায়ণতায় তোমার পীড়িতদের বিচার করবেন।
3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills, in righteousness.
পর্বতগুলি সবার জন্য সমৃদ্ধি নিয়ে আসুক, আর পাহাড়গুলি ধার্মিকতার ফল প্রদান করুক।
4 He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the sons of the needy, and will break in pieces the oppressor.
তিনি লোকেদের মাঝে পীড়িতদের বিচার করুন আর অভাবীদের ছেলেমেয়েদের রক্ষা করুন; তিনি অত্যাচারীকে চূর্ণ করুন।
5 They shall fear thee while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
যতদিন সূর্য থাকবে ততদিন আর যতদিন চন্দ্রের অস্তিত্ব রইবে, তিনি স্থায়ী হবেন, বংশপরম্পরায় হবেন।
6 He will come down like rain upon the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.
কাটা ঘাসের প্রান্তরে তিনি বৃষ্টির মতো নেমে আসবেন, জলধারার মতো যা পৃথিবীকে সেচন করে।
7 In his days righteousness shall flourish, and abundance of peace, till the moon is no more.
তাঁর সময়ে ধার্মিক উন্নতি লাভ করবে আর চন্দ্রের শেষকাল পর্যন্ত সমৃদ্ধি উপচে পড়বে।
8 He shall also have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
তিনি সমুদ্র থেকে সমুদ্র পর্যন্ত আর নদী থেকে পৃথিবীর প্রান্ত পর্যন্ত শাসন করুন।
9 Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust.
মরুভূমির গোষ্ঠীসকল তাঁর সামনে নত হবে এবং তাঁর শত্রুরা মাটির ধুলো চাটবে।
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
তর্শীশ আর সুদূর উপকূলবর্তী দেশের রাজারা তাঁর উদ্দেশে নৈবেদ্য নিয়ে আসুক। শিবা ও সবার রাজারা তাঁর জন্য উপহার নিয়ে আসুক।
11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.
রাজারা সবাই তাঁর সামনে নত হোক আর সমস্ত জাতি তাঁর সেবা করুক।
12 For he will deliver a needy man when he cries, and a poor man, who has no helper.
তিনি আর্তনাদকারী অভাবীদের আর অসহায় পীড়িতদের উদ্ধার করবেন।
13 He will have pity on a poor and needy man, and he will save the souls of the needy.
তিনি দরিদ্র ও অভাবীদের প্রতি দয়া করবেন এবং অভাবীদের মৃত্যু থেকে রক্ষা করবেন।
14 He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. And their blood will be precious in his sight,
তিনিই তাদের অত্যাচার ও হিংসা থেকে মুক্ত করবেন, কারণ তাঁর দৃষ্টিতে তাদের রক্ত মূল্যবান।
15 and they shall live. And to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. And men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all the day long.
রাজা দীর্ঘজীবী হোন! শিবা দেশের সোনা তাঁকে দেওয়া হোক। লোকেরা তাঁর জন্য চিরকাল প্রার্থনা করুক এবং তাঁকে সর্বদা আশীর্বাদ করুক।
16 There shall be abundance of grain in the earth upon the top of the mountains. The fruit of it shall shake like Lebanon. And they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
দেশে শস্যের প্রাচুর্য হোক; পাহাড়ের উপরে সেসব দুলে উঠুক। লেবাননের গাছের মতো ফলের গাছ উন্নতি লাভ করুক আর মাঠের ঘাসের মতো সমৃদ্ধ হোক।
17 His name shall endure forever. His name shall be continued as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in him. All nations shall call him blessed.
তাঁর নাম চিরস্থায়ী হোক; ততদিন হোক যতদিন সূর্য আলো দেবে। সমুদয় জাতি তাঁর মাধ্যমে আশীর্বাদ পাবে, এবং তারা তাঁকে ধন্য বলবে।
18 Blessed be Jehovah God, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things.
সদাপ্রভু ঈশ্বর, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা হোক, কেবলমাত্র তিনিই চমৎকার কার্যাবলি সাধন করেন।
19 And blessed be his glorious name forever. And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Truly, and Truly.
চিরকাল তাঁর মহানামের প্রশংসা হোক; আর সমস্ত পৃথিবী তাঁর মহিমায় পূর্ণ হোক।
20 The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
যিশয়ের ছেলে দাউদের প্রার্থনা শেষ হল।
