1 God be merciful to us, and bless us, and cause his face to shine upon us (Selah)
“To the chief musician on Neginoth, a psalm or song.” May God be gracious unto us, and bless us; may he cause his face to shine upon us. (Selah)
2 that thy way may be known upon earth, thy salvation among all nations.
That upon earth men may know thy way, among all nations thy salvation.
3 Let the peoples praise thee, O God. Let all the peoples praise thee.
The people will thank thee, O God; the people, all of them together, will thank thee.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy. For thou will judge the peoples with equity, and govern the nations upon earth. (Selah)
Nations will rejoice and sing for joy: when thou judgest the people righteously, and guidest the nations upon earth. (Selah)
5 Let the peoples praise thee, O God. Let all the peoples praise thee.
The people will thank thee, O God; the people, all of them together, will thank thee.
6 The earth has yielded its increase. God, even our own God, will bless us.
The earth yieldeth her products: [yea, ] God, our own God, bless us.
7 God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
God will bless us: and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
