Psalms 64

1 Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Para el director del coro. Un salmo de David. Dios, te suplico que escuches mi queja. Protégeme porque tengo miedo de mis enemigos.

2 Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, from the tumult of the workers of iniquity,

Guárdame de las conspiraciones de los malvados, de esta multitud llena de maldad.

3 who have whet their tongue like a sword, and have aimed their arrows, even bitter words,

Sus palabras son hirientes como espadas, y de sus bocas emanan palabras venenosas como flechas.

4 that they may shoot in secret places at a blameless man. Suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

Desde sus escondites disparan contra los inocentes, sin ningún temor de ser atrapados.

5 They encourage themselves in an evil purpose. They converse of laying snares secretly. They say, Who will see them?

Animan a otros a hacer el mal y conspiran sobre cómo engañar a las personas diciendo: “Nadie lo sabrá”.

6 They search out iniquities, saying, We have accomplished a diligent search. And the inward part of man and the heart are deep.

Ellos conspiran en hacer el mal. Con orgullo dicen: “¡Qué gran plan hemos creado!”. No hay límites en las profundidades a las que la mente humana puede llegar.

7 But God will shoot at them. With an arrow they shall suddenly be wounded.

Pero Dios les disparará con flechas, y repentinamente caerán heridos.

8 So they shall be made to stumble, their own tongue being against them. All who see them shall wag the head.

Tropezarán con sus propios engaños. Quienes los vean se reirán de ellos y con sus cabezas harán señal de burla.

9 And all men shall fear. And they shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely consider of his doing.

Entonces todos temerán. Dirán que esta es la obra de Dios, y se darán cuenta de las cosas que Él ha hecho.

10 A righteous man shall be glad in Jehovah, and shall take refuge in him. And all the upright in heart shall glory.

Los justos se alegrarán con el Señor y buscarán su protección. Los que viven en rectitud lo alabarán.
