Psalms 61

1 Hear my cry, O God. Attend to my prayer.

Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen auf einem Saitenspiel. Höre, Gott, mein Geschrei und merke auf mein Gebet!

2 From the end of the earth I will call to thee when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Hienieden auf Erden rufe ich zu dir, wenn mein Herz in Angst ist, du wollest mich führen auf einen hohen Felsen.

3 For thou have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy.

Denn du bist meine Zuversicht, ein starker Turm vor meinen Feinden.

4 I will dwell in thy tabernacle forever. I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. (Selah)

Ich will wohnen in deiner Hütte ewiglich und trauen unter deinen Fittichen. (Sela)

5 For thou, O God, have heard my vows. Thou have given me the heritage of those who fear thy name.

Denn du, Gott, hörest meine Gelübde; du belohnest die wohl, die deinen Namen fürchten.

6 Thou will prolong the king's life. His years shall be as many generations.

Du gibst einem Könige langes Leben, daß seine Jahre währen immer für und für,

7 He shall abide before God forever. O prepare loving kindness and truth that they may preserve him.

daß er immer sitzen bleibet vor Gott. Erzeige ihm Güte und Treue, die ihn behüten.

8 So I will sing praise to thy name forever, that I may daily perform my vows.
