< Psalms 46 >
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe. Ndakatulo ya ana a Kora. Nyimbo ya anamwali. Mulungu ndiye kothawira kwathu ndi mphamvu yathu, thandizo lopezekeratu pa nthawi ya mavuto.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth changes, and though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas,
Nʼchifukwa chake sitidzaopa ngakhale dziko lapansi lisunthike, ngakhale mapiri agwe pakati pa nyanja,
3 though the waters of it roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with the swelling of it. (Selah)
ngakhale madzi ake atakokoma ndi kuchita thovu, ngakhale mapiri agwedezeke ndi kukokoma kwake.
4 There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.
Kuli mtsinje umene njira zake za madzi zimasangalatsa mzinda wa Mulungu, malo oyera kumene Wammwambamwamba amakhalako.
5 God is in the midst of her. She shall not be moved. God will help her, and that right early.
Mulungu ali mʼkati mwake, iwo sudzagwa; Mulungu adzawuthandiza mmawa.
6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved, he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
Mitundu ikupokosera, mafumu akugwa; Iye wakweza mawu ake, dziko lapansi likusungunuka.
7 Jehovah of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. (Selah)
Yehova Wamphamvuzonse ali ndi ife, Mulungu wa Yakobo ndi linga lathu.
8 Come, behold the works of Jehovah, what desolations he has made in the earth.
Bwerani kuti mudzaone ntchito za Yehova, chiwonongeko chimene wachibweretsa pa dziko lapansi.
9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two. He burns the chariots in the fire.
Iye amathetsa nkhondo ku malekezero a dziko lapansi; Iye amathyola uta ndi kupindapinda mkondo; amatentha zishango ndi moto.
10 Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.
Iye akuti, “Khala chete, ndipo dziwa kuti ndine Mulungu; ndidzakwezedwa pakati pa mitundu ya anthu; ine ndidzakwezedwa mʼdziko lapansi.”
11 Jehovah of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. (Selah)
