< Psalms 43 >
1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against a profane nation. O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
ʻE ʻOtua, ke ke fakamaau au, ʻo langomakiʻi au telia ʻae puleʻanga angakovi: ke ke fakamoʻui au mei he tangata kākā mo taʻeangatonu.
2 For thou are the God of my strength. Why have thou cast me off? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
He ko koe ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻeku mālohi: ko e hā ʻoku ke liʻaki ai au? Ko e hā ʻoku ou ʻalu mamahi pe ʻi he taʻomia ʻe he fili?
3 O send out thy light and thy truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Ke ke fekau atu hoʻo maama mo hoʻo moʻoni: tuku ke na tataki au; tuku ke na ʻomi au ki ho moʻunga māʻoniʻoni, mo ho ngaahi fale fehikitaki.
4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise thee upon the harp, O God, my God.
Ko ia te u toki ʻalu atu ki he feilaulauʻanga ʻoe ʻOtua, ki he ʻOtua ko hoku fiefiaʻanga lahi ʻaupito: ʻio, ʻi he haʻape te u fakamālō kiate koe, ʻE ʻOtua ko hoku ʻOtua.
5 Why are thou cast down, O my soul? And why are thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God, for I shall yet praise him, the help of my countenance, and my God.
Ko e hā ʻoku ke mapelu ai ki lalo, ʻE hoku laumālie? pea ko e hā ʻoku ke maveuveu ai ʻi loto ʻiate au? ʻAmanaki lelei ki he ʻOtua: he ko e moʻoni te u fakafetaʻi kiate ia, ʻaia ko e fakamoʻui ʻo hoku mata, mo hoku ʻOtua.
