Psalms 38
1 O Jehovah, rebuke me not in thy wrath, nor chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
Gospode! nemoj me karati u gnjevu svojem, niti me nakazati u jarosti svojoj.
2 For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presses me severely.
Jer strijele tvoje ustrijeliše me, i ruka me tvoja tišti.
3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine indignation, nor is there any health in my bones because of my sin.
Nema zdrava mjesta na tijelu mojem od gnjeva tvojega; nema mira u kostima mojim od grijeha mojega.
4 For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
Jer bezakonja moja izaðoše vrh glave moje, kao teško breme otežaše mi.
5 My wounds are loathsome and corrupt, because of my foolishness.
Usmrdješe se i zagnojiše se rane moje od bezumlja mojega.
6 I am pained and bowed down greatly. I go mourning all the day long.
Zgrèio sam se i pogurio veoma, vas dan idem sjetan;
7 For my loins are filled with burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.
Jer sam iznutra pun ognja, i nema zdrava mjesta na tijelu mojem.
8 I am faint and severely bruised. I have groaned because of the disquietness of my heart.
Iznemogoh i veoma oslabih, rièem od trzanja srca svojega.
9 Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my groaning is not hid from thee.
Gospode! pred tobom su sve želje moje, i uzdisanje moje nije od tebe sakriveno.
10 My heart throbs, my strength fails me. As for the light of my eyes, it also is gone from me.
Srce moje jako kuca, ostavi me snaga moja, i vid oèiju mojijeh, ni njega mi nema.
11 Those I love and my friends stand aloof from my plague, and my kinsmen stand afar off.
Drugovi moji i prijatelji moji videæi rane moje otstupiše, daleko stoje bližnji moji.
12 Those also who seek after my life lay snares for me. And those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all the day long.
Koji traže dušu moju namještaju zamku, i koji su mi zlu radi, govore o pogibli i po vas dan misle o prijevari.
13 But I, as a deaf man, hear not. And I am as a mute man who opens not his mouth.
A ja kao gluh ne èujem i kao nijem koji ne otvora usta svojijeh.
14 Yea, I am as a man who hears not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
Ja sam kao èovjek koji ne èuje ili nema u ustima svojim pravdanja.
15 For in thee, O Jehovah, do I hope. Thou will answer, O Lord my God.
Jer tebe, Gospode, èekam, ti odgovaraj za mene, Gospode, Bože moj!
16 For I said, Lest they rejoice over me. When my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.
Jer rekoh: da mi se ne svete, i da se ne razmeæu nada mnom, kad se spotakne noga moja.
17 For I am ready to fall, and my sorrow is continually before me.
Jer sam gotov pasti, i tuga je moja svagda sa mnom.
18 For I will declare my iniquity. I will be sorry for my sin.
Priznajem krivicu svoju, i tužim radi grijeha svojega.
19 But my enemies are energetic, and are strong, and those who hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
Neprijatelji moji žive, jaki su, i (sila) ih ima što me nenavide na pravdi.
20 They also who render evil for good are adversaries to me, because I follow the thing that is good.
Koji mi vraæaju zlo za dobro, neprijatelji su mi zato što sam pristao za dobrim.
21 Forsake me not, O Jehovah. O my God, be not far from me.
Nemoj me ostaviti, Gospode, Bože moj! nemoj se udaljiti od mene.
22 Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
Pohitaj u pomoæ meni, Gospode, spasitelju moj!
