Psalms 27
1 Jehovah is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
Se yon sòm David. Seyè a se limyè mwen, se li ki delivrans mwen. Ki moun ki ka fè m' pè? Se Seyè a k'ap pwoteje mwen. Ki moun ki ka fè m' tranble?
2 When evildoers came upon me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.
Lè mechan yo ap mache sou mwen, lè lènmi m' yo ap chache touye m', se yo menm k'ap bite, se yo menm k'ap tonbe.
3 Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.
Menm si tout yon lame ta sènen m' toupatou, mwen p'ap pè anyen. Menm si yo ta vle fè m' lagè, m'ap toujou gen konfyans nan Bondye.
4 One thing I have asked of Jehovah, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to inquire in his temple.
Mwen mande Seyè a yon bagay, yon bagay mwen anvi anpil anpil: Se pou m' ta pase tout lavi m' nan kay Seyè a, pou m' ka gade bèl bagay li yo byen, pou m' ka pran tan m' pou m' kalkile nan kay ki apa pou li a.
5 For in the day of trouble he will hide me in his pavilion. In the covert of his tabernacle he will hide me. He will lift me up upon a rock.
Jou malè tonbe sou mwen, l'a pwoteje m' lakay li. L'a kache m' byen fon nan tanp li a. L'a leve m' mete yon kote pou anyen pa rive m'.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies round about me. And I will offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy. I will sing, yea, I will sing praises to Jehovah.
Se konsa m'ap genyen batay la sou tout lènmi k'ap sènen m' yo. M'a bat tanbou, m'a ofri bèt pou touye bay Bondye nan tanp li a. M'a chante, m'a fè lwanj Seyè a.
7 Hear, O Jehovah, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
Seyè, tande m' non lè m'ap rele ou! Gen pitye pou mwen, reponn mwen non!
8 My heart said to thee, I have sought thy face. O Jehovah, I will seek thy face.
Ou pale nan kè m', ou di m' vin jwenn ou. M'ap vin jwenn ou, Seyè.
9 Hide not thy face from me. Put not thy servant away in anger. Thou have been my help. Cast me not off, nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.
Pa vire do ban mwen. Pa fache, pa repouse moun k'ap sèvi ou la. Se ou ki tout sekou mwen. Pa kite m' pou kont mwen, pa lage m'.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then Jehovah will take me up.
Papa m' ak manman m' te mèt lage m', Seyè a va ranmase mwen.
11 Teach me thy way, O Jehovah, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.
Seyè, moutre m' jan ou vle m' viv la. Fè m' mache nan chemen ki pa gen move pa a, paske mwen gen anpil lènmi k'ap veye m'.
12 Deliver me not over to the will of my adversaries. For false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
Pa lage m' nan men lènmi m' yo. Yo soti pou yo touye m'. Se yon bann moun k'ap bay manti.
13 I believe that I shall see the goodness of Jehovah in the land of the living.
Mwen menm, mwen sèten m'a viv pou m' wè jan Bondye sèvi byen ak pèp li a.
14 Wait for Jehovah. Be strong, and let thy heart take courage. Yea, wait thou for Jehovah.
Mete espwa ou nan Seyè a! Gen konfyans, pa dekouraje! Wi, mete espwa ou nan Seyè a!
