Psalms 14

1 The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt. They have done abominable works. There is none that does good.

ദൈവം ഇല്ല എന്നു മൂഢൻ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറയുന്നു; അവർ വഷളന്മാരായി മ്ലേച്ഛത പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നു; നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ആരുമില്ല.

2 Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.

ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന ബുദ്ധിമാനുണ്ടോ എന്നു കാണ്മാൻ യഹോവ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ നോക്കുന്നു.

3 They are all gone aside. They are together become filthy. There is none who does good, no, not one.

എല്ലാവരും വഴിതെറ്റി ഒരുപോലെ കൊള്ളരുതാത്തവരായിത്തീൎന്നു; നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നവനില്ല; ഒരുത്തൻ പോലുമില്ല.

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon Jehovah?

നീതികേടു പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നവർ ആരും അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; യഹോവയോടു അവർ പ്രാൎത്ഥിക്കുന്നില്ല.

5 There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.

അവർ അവിടെ അത്യന്തം ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; യഹോവ നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ തലമുറയിൽ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

6 Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor because Jehovah is his refuge.

നിങ്ങൾ ദരിദ്രന്റെ ആലോചനെക്കു ഭംഗം വരുത്തുന്നു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ അവന്റെ സങ്കേതമാകുന്നു.

7 O that the salvation of Israel came out of Zion! When Jehovah brings back the captivity of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

സീയോനിൽനിന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രക്ഷവന്നെങ്കിൽ! യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥിതി മാറ്റുമ്പോൾ യാക്കോബ് സന്തോഷിക്കയും യിസ്രായേൽ ആനന്ദിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
