Psalms 139
1 O Jehovah, thou have searched me, and known.
Senhor, tu me sondaste, e me conheces.
2 Thou know my sitting down and my rising up. Thou understand my thought afar off.
Tu sabes o meu assentar e o meu levantar: de longe entendes o meu pensamento.
3 Thou search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
Cercas o meu andar, e o meu deitar; e conheces todos os meus caminhos.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Jehovah, thou know it altogether.
Não havendo ainda palavra alguma na minha lingua, eis que logo, ó Senhor, tudo conheces.
5 Thou have beset me behind and before, and laid thy hand upon me.
Tu me cercaste por detraz e por diante; e pozeste sobre mim a tua mão.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is high, I cannot attain to it.
Tal sciencia é para mim maravilhosissima; tão alta que não a posso attingir.
7 Where shall I go from thy Spirit? Or where shall I flee from thy presence?
Para onde me irei do teu Espirito, ou para onde fugirei da tua face?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou are there. (Sheol h7585)
Se subir ao céu, lá tu estás: se fizer no inferno a minha cama, eis que tu ali estás tambem. (Sheol h7585)
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the outermost parts of the sea,
Se tomar as azas da alva, se habitar nas extremidades do mar,
10 even there thy hand shall lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
Até ali a tua mão me guiará e a tua dextra me susterá.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, and the light around me shall be night,
Se disser: Decerto que as trevas me encobrirão; então a noite será luz á roda de mim
12 even the darkness hides not from thee, but the night shines as the day. The darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
Nem ainda as trevas me encobrem de ti: mas a noite resplandece como o dia; as trevas e a luz são para ti a mesma coisa.
13 For thou formed my inward parts. Thou covered me in my mother's womb.
Pois possuiste os meus rins; cobriste-me no ventre de minha mãe.
14 I will give thanks to thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are thy works, and that my soul knows right well.
Eu te louvarei, porque de um modo terrivel, e tão maravilhoso fui feito; maravilhosas são as tuas obras, e a minha alma o sabe muito bem.
15 My frame was not hidden from thee, when I was made in secret, curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Os meus ossos não te foram encobertos, quando no occulto fui feito, e entretecido nas profundezas da terra.
16 Thine eyes saw my unformed substance, and in thy book they were all written, even the days that were ordained, when as yet there was none of them.
Os teus olhos viram o meu corpo ainda informe; e no teu livro todas estas coisas foram escriptas; as quaes em continuação foram formadas, quando nem ainda uma d'ellas havia.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
E quão preciosos me são, ó Deus, os teus pensamentos! Quão grandes são as sommas d'elles!
18 I count them; they are more in number than the sand. When I awake, I am still with thee.
Se as contasse, seriam em maior numero do que a areia: quando acordo ainda estou comtigo.
19 Surely thou will kill the wicked, O God. Depart from me therefore, ye bloodthirsty men.
Ó Deus, tu matarás decerto o impio: apartae-vos portanto de mim, homens de sangue.
20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take it in vain.
Pois fallam malvadamente contra ti; e os teus inimigos tomam o teu nome em vão.
21 Do I not hate them, O Jehovah, who hate thee? And am I not grieved with those who rise up against thee?
Não aborreço eu, ó Senhor, aquelles que te aborrecem, e não me afflijo por causa dos que se levantam contra ti?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred. They have become my enemies.
Aborreço-os com odio perfeito: tenho-os por inimigos.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts,
Sonda-me, ó Deus, e conhece o meu coração: prova-me, e conhece os meus pensamentos.
24 and see if there is any wicked way in me. And lead me in the way everlasting.
E vê se ha em mim algum caminho mau, e guia-me pelo caminho eterno.
