Psalms 138

1 I will give thee thanks with my whole heart. I will sing praises to thee before the gods.

Faarfannaa Daawit. Yaa Waaqayyo, ani garaa koo guutuudhaan sin galateeffadha; fuula “waaqotaa” durattis galata kee nan faarfadha.

2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and give thanks to thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth. For thou have magnified thy word above all thy name.

Sababii ati maqaa keetii fi dubbii kee waan hundaa olitti guddifteef, ani sababii jaalalaa fi amanamummaa keetiitiif gara mana qulqullummaa kee qulqullichaatti gad jedhee, maqaa kee nan leellisa.

3 Thou answered me in the day that I called. Thou encouraged me with strength in my soul.

Yeroo ani si waammadhetti ati deebii naa kennite; irree keetiinis na jabeessite.

4 All the kings of the earth shall give thee thanks, O Jehovah, for they have heard the words of thy mouth.

Yaa Waaqayyo, mootonni lafaa hundinuu, yeroo dubbii afaan keetii dhagaʼanitti si haa leellisan.

5 Yea, they shall sing of the ways of Jehovah, for great is the glory of Jehovah.

Ulfinni Waaqayyoo, guddaadhaatii, isaan waaʼee karaa Waaqayyoo haa faarfatan.

6 For though Jehovah is high, yet he has respect to the lowly. But he knows the haughty from afar.

Waaqayyo yoo ol fagoo jiraate iyyuu, nama gad qabame ni ilaala; nama of tuulu immoo fagootti beeka.

7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou will revive me. Thou will stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies, and thy right hand will save me.

Ani rakkina keessa jiraadhu iyyuu, ati lubbuu koo ni eegda; aarii diina kootti harka kee ni diriirsita; harka kee mirgaatiinis na oolchita.

8 Jehovah will perfect that which concerns me. Thy loving kindness, O Jehovah, is forever. Forsake not the works of thine own hands.

Waaqayyo kaayyoo isaa fiixaan naa baasa; yaa Waaqayyo, jaalalli kee bara baraan jiraata; hojii harka keetii hin gatin.
