< Psalms 125 >

1 Those who trust in Jehovah are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
A song of ascents. Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, that cannot be moved, but abides forever.
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so Jehovah is round about his people from this time forth and for evermore.
Round Jerusalem are the mountains, and the Lord is round his people from now and for evermore.
3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous, that the righteous not put forth their hands to iniquity.
For he will not suffer the sceptre of wrong to rest on the land allotted to the righteous; else the righteous might put forth their own hand to evil.
4 Do good, O Jehovah, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts.
Do good, O Lord, to the good, and to the true-hearted.
5 But as for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, Jehovah will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
But those who swerve into crooked ways will the Lord lead away with the workers of evil. Peace be upon Israel.
