Psalms 121

1 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains. From where shall my help come?

Alzo gli occhi verso i monti: da dove mi verrà l'aiuto? Canto delle ascensioni.

2 My help is from Jehovah, who made heaven and earth.

Il mio aiuto viene dal Signore, che ha fatto cielo e terra.

3 He will not allow thy foot to be moved. He who keeps thee will not slumber.

Non lascerà vacillare il tuo piede, non si addormenterà il tuo custode.

4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

Non si addormenterà, non prenderà sonno, il custode d'Israele.

5 Jehovah is thy keeper. Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand.

Il Signore è il tuo custode, il Signore è come ombra che ti copre, e sta alla tua destra.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Di giorno non ti colpirà il sole, né la luna di notte.

7 Jehovah will keep thee from all evil. He will keep thy soul.

Il Signore ti proteggerà da ogni male, egli proteggerà la tua vita.

8 Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth and for evermore.

Il Signore veglierà su di te, quando esci e quando entri, da ora e per sempre.
