Psalms 109
1 Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise,
Oh ʼElohim de mi alabanza, no te calles.
2 for they have opened against me the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
Porque la boca de los perversos y de los engañadores se abrió contra mí. Hablaron contra mí con lengua mentirosa.
3 They have also encompassed me about with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
Con palabras de odio me rodearon, Y sin causa lucharon contra mí.
4 For my love they are my adversaries, but I make prayer.
Son mis adversarios para pagar mi amor, Pero yo hablo contigo.
5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
Me devuelven mal por bien, Y odio por mi amor.
6 Set thou a wicked man over him, and let an adversary stand at his right hand.
[Dicen]: Levanta contra él a un perverso, Y esté un acusador a su mano derecha.
7 When he is judged, let him come forth guilty, and let his prayer be turned into sin.
Resulte culpable cuando sea juzgado, Y que su oración sea pecado.
8 Let his days be few, and let another take his office.
Sean pocos sus días. Tome otro su oficio.
9 Let his sons be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Sean huérfanos sus hijos, Y su esposa, viuda.
10 Let his sons be vagabonds, and beg, and let them seek out of their desolate places.
Vaguen errantes sus hijos y mendiguen, Y busquen su pan lejos de sus casas arruinadas.
11 Let a creditor exact all that he has, and let strangers make spoil of his labor.
Que el acreedor se apodere de todo lo que tiene, Y extraños saqueen el fruto de su trabajo.
12 Let there be none to extend kindness to him, nor let there be any to have pity on his fatherless sons.
No tenga quien le extienda misericordia, Ni quien se compadezca de sus huérfanos.
13 Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
Sean exterminadas todas sus futuras generaciones. Sea el nombre de ellos borrado en la siguiente generación.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with Jehovah, and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
Que la iniquidad de sus antepasados sea recordada ante Yavé, Y que no sea borrado el pecado de su madre.
15 Let them be before Jehovah continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth,
Que estén siempre delante de Yavé, Y corte Él de la tierra el recuerdo de ellos,
16 because he did not remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, and the broken in heart, to kill.
Por cuanto no recordó mostrar misericordia, Sino persiguió al hombre afligido y menesteroso, Al quebrantado de corazón, para matarlo.
17 Yea, he loved cursing, and it came to him. And he did not delight in blessing, and it was far from him.
También amó la maldición, Así que le llegó. No se deleitó en la bendición, Por tanto ésta estuvo lejos de él.
18 He also clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, and it came into his inward parts like water, and like oil into his bones.
Se cubrió de maldición como con su manto, Por lo cual la dejó entrar en su cuerpo como agua, Y como aceite en sus huesos.
19 Let it be to him as the raiment with which he covers himself, and for the belt with which he is girded continually.
Que le sea como ropa con la cual se cubra Y como cinturón que lo ate siempre.
20 This is the reward of my adversaries from Jehovah, and of those who speak evil against my soul.
Que ésta sea la recompensa de Yavé a mis acusadores Y a los que hablan mal contra mi vida.
21 But deal thou with me, O Jehovah the Lord, for thy name's sake. Because thy loving kindness is good, deliver thou me,
Pero Tú, oh Yavé, el ʼAdonay, Trata conmigo por amor a tu Nombre. Líbrame, porque tu misericordia es buena.
22 for I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
Porque yo estoy afligido y necesitado. Mi corazón está herido dentro de mí.
23 I am gone like the shadow when it declines. I am tossed up and down as the locust.
Paso como una sombra cuando se extiende, Soy echado fuera como el saltamonte.
24 My knees are weak through fasting, and my flesh fails of fatness.
Mis rodillas están débiles a causa del ayuno, Y mi carne desfallece por falta de sustancia.
25 I also have become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.
Fui para ellos un objeto de reproche. Cuando me miran, menean su cabeza.
26 Help me, O Jehovah my God. O save me according to thy loving kindness,
¡Ayúdame, oh Yavé, ʼElohim mío! ¡Sálvame según tu misericordia!
27 that they may know that this is thy hand, that thou, Jehovah, have done it.
Que ellos entiendan que ésta es tu mano, Que Tú, oh Yavé, hiciste esto.
28 Let them curse, but bless thou. When they arise, they shall be put to shame, but thy servant shall rejoice.
Que ellos maldigan, pero Tú, bendice. Cuando se levanten, sean avergonzados, Pero tu esclavo estará alegre.
29 Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor, and let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
Que mis acusadores sean cubiertos de deshonra, Y que ellos mismos se cubran de vergüenza como un manto.
30 I will give great thanks to Jehovah with my mouth. Yea, I will praise him among the multitude.
Daré muchas gracias con mi boca a Yavé. En medio de muchos lo alabaré,
31 For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.
Porque Él se coloca a la mano derecha del necesitado, Para salvar su vida de los que lo juzgan.
