Psalms 106
1 Praise ye Jehovah. O give thanks to Jehovah, for he is good, for his loving kindness is forever.
௧அல்லேலூயா, யெகோவாவை துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.
2 Who can utter the mighty acts of Jehovah, or show forth all his praise?
௨யெகோவாவுடைய வல்லமையான செயல்களைச் சொல்லி, அவருடைய துதியையெல்லாம் சொல்லக்கூடியவன் யார்?
3 Blessed are those who keep justice, and he who does righteousness at all times.
௩நியாயத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களும், எக்காலத்திலும் நீதியைச் செய்கிறவர்களும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.
4 Remember me, O Jehovah, with the favor that thou bear to thy people. O visit me with thy salvation,
௪யெகோவாவே, நீர் தெரிந்துகொண்டவர்களின் நன்மையை நான் கண்டு, உம்முடைய மக்களின் மகிழ்ச்சியால் மகிழ்ந்து, உம்முடைய சுதந்தரத்தோடு மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படிக்கு,
5 that I may see the prosperity of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
௫உம்முடைய மக்களுக்கு நீர் பாராட்டும் கிருபையின்படி என்னை நினைத்து, உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பினால் என்னைச் சந்தித்தருளும்.
6 We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. we have done wickedly.
௬எங்களுடைய முன்னோர்களோடு நாங்களும் பாவஞ்செய்து, அக்கிரமம் நடப்பித்து, தீமைகளைச் செய்தோம்.
7 Our fathers did not understand thy wonders in Egypt. They did not remember the multitude of thy loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
௭எங்களுடைய முன்னோர்கள் எகிப்திலே உம்முடைய அதிசயங்களை உணராமலும், உம்முடைய கிருபைகளின் பெருக்கத்தை நினைக்காமலும் போய், சிவந்த கடலின் ஓரத்திலே கலகம்செய்தார்கள்.
8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
௮ஆனாலும் அவர் தமது வல்லமையை வெளிப்படுத்தும்படி, தம்முடைய பெயரினிமித்தம் அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.
9 He also rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up. So he led them through the depths as through a wilderness.
௯அவர் சிவந்த கடலை அதட்டினார், அது வற்றிப்போனது; காய்ந்த தரையில் நடக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களை ஆழங்களில் நடந்துபோகச்செய்தார்.
10 And he saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
௧0பகைவரின் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கிக் காப்பாற்றி, எதிரியின் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி மீட்டார்.
11 And the waters covered their adversaries; there was not one of them left.
௧௧அவர்களுடைய எதிரிகளைத் தண்ணீர்கள் மூடிக்கொண்டது; அவர்களில் ஒருவனும் மீதியாக இருக்கவில்லை.
12 Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.
௧௨அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசித்து, அவருடைய துதியைப் பாடினார்கள்.
13 They soon forgot his works. They did not wait for his counsel,
௧௩ஆனாலும் சீக்கிரமாக அவருடைய செயல்களை மறந்தார்கள்; அவருடைய ஆலோசனைக்கு அவர்கள் காத்திருக்காமல்,
14 but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and challenged God in the desert.
௧௪வனாந்திரத்திலே ஆசையுள்ளவர்களாகி, பாலைவனத்திலே தேவனைப் பரீட்சைபார்த்தார்கள்.
15 And he gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
௧௫அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் கேட்டதை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார், அவர்கள் சரீரத்திலோ வியாதியை அனுப்பினார்.
16 They also envied Moses in the camp, and Aaron the sanctified of Jehovah.
௧௬முகாமில் அவர்கள் மோசேயின்மேலும், யெகோவாவுடைய பரிசுத்தனாகிய ஆரோனின்மேலும் பொறாமைகொண்டார்கள்.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
௧௭பூமி பிளந்து தாத்தானை விழுங்கி, அபிராமின் கூட்டத்தை மூடிப்போட்டது.
18 And a fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked men.
௧௮அவர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் நெருப்பு பற்றியெரிந்தது; நெருப்பு ஜூவாலை துன்மார்க்கர்களை எரித்துப்போட்டது.
19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.
௧௯அவர்கள் ஓரேபிலே ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையுண்டாக்கி, வார்க்கப்பட்ட சிலையை வழிபட்டார்கள்.
20 Thus they changed their glory for the likeness of an ox that eats grass.
௨0தங்களுடைய மகிமையைப் புல்லைத் தின்கிற மாட்டின் சாயலாக மாற்றினார்கள்.
21 They forgot God their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,
௨௧எகிப்திலே பெரிய செயல்களையும், காமின் தேசத்திலே அதிசயங்களையும், சிவந்த கடலினருகில் பயங்கரமானவைகளையும் செய்தவராகிய,
22 wondrous works in the land of Ham, and fearful things by the Red Sea.
௨௨தங்களுடைய இரட்சகரான தேவனை மறந்தார்கள்.
23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy.
௨௩ஆகையால், அவர்களை நாசம்செய்வேன் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மோசே, அவர்களை அவர் அழிக்காதபடி, அவருடைய கடுங்கோபத்தை ஆற்றுவதற்கு, அவருக்கு முன்பாகத் திறப்பின் வாசலிலே நின்றான்.
24 Yea, they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word,
௨௪அவருடைய வார்த்தையை விசுவாசிக்காமல், விரும்பத்தக்க தேசத்தை அசட்டைச்செய்தார்கள்.
25 but murmured in their tents, and did not hearken to the voice of Jehovah.
௨௫யெகோவாவுடைய சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுக்காமல், தங்களுடைய கூடாரங்களில் முறுமுறுத்தார்கள்.
26 Therefore he swore to them, that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,
௨௬அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் வனாந்தரத்திலே இறக்கவும், அவர்கள் சந்ததி தேசங்களுக்குள்ளே அழியவும்,
27 and that he would overthrow their seed among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
௨௭அவர்கள் பற்பல தேசங்களிலே சிதறடிக்கப்படவும், அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தம்முடைய கையை எடுத்தார்.
28 They also joined themselves to Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
௨௮அவர்கள் பாகால்பேயோரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, உயிரில்லாதவைகளுக்கு செலுத்தின பலிகளை சாப்பிட்டு,
29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their doings, and the plague broke in upon them.
௨௯தங்களுடைய செயல்களினால் அவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; ஆகையால் வாதை அவர்களுக்குள் புகுந்தது.
30 Then Phinehas stood up, and executed judgment, and so the plague was stayed.
௩0அப்பொழுது பினெகாஸ் எழுந்து நின்று நியாயஞ்செய்தான்; அதினால் வாதை நிறுத்தப்பட்டது.
31 And that was reckoned to him for righteousness to all generations for evermore.
௩௧அது தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக என்றைக்கும் அவனுக்கு நீதியாக எண்ணப்பட்டது.
32 They also angered him at the waters of Meribah, so that it went ill with Moses because of them,
௩௨மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர்களிடத்திலும் அவருக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; அவர்களினால் மோசேக்கும் பொல்லாப்பு வந்தது.
33 because they were rebellious against his spirit, and he spoke ill-advisedly with his lips.
௩௩அவர்கள் அவன் ஆவியைத் துக்கப்படுத்தினதினாலே, தன்னுடைய உதடுகளினால் பதறிப்பேசினான்.
34 They did not destroy the peoples, as Jehovah commanded them,
௩௪யெகோவா தங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடி, அவர்கள் அந்த மக்களை அழிக்கவில்லை.
35 but mingled themselves with the nations, and learned their works,
௩௫அந்நிய ஜாதிகளோடு கலந்து, அவர்களுடைய செயல்களைக் கற்று;
36 and served their idols, which became a snare to them.
௩௬அவர்களுடைய சிலைகளை வழிபட்டார்கள்; அவைகள் அவர்களுக்குக் கண்ணியானது.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons,
௩௭அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய மகன்களையும் தங்களுடைய மகள்களையும் பிசாசுகளுக்குப் பலியிட்டார்கள்.
38 and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. And the land was polluted with blood.
௩௮அவர்கள் கானான் தேசத்து சிலைகளுக்கு பலியிட்டு, தங்களுடைய மகன்கள் மகள்களுடைய குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தினார்கள்; தேசம் இரத்தத்தால் தீட்டுப்பட்டது.
39 Thus they were defiled with their works, and played the harlot in their doings.
௩௯அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய செயல்களினால் அசுத்தமாகி, தங்களுடைய செயல்களினால் வேசித்தனம் செய்தார்கள்.
40 Therefore the wrath of Jehovah was kindled against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.
௪0அதினால் யெகோவாவுடைய கோபம் தமது மக்களின்மேல் எழும்பினது; அவர் தமது சுதந்தரத்தை அருவருத்தார்.
41 And he gave them into the hand of the nations. And those who hated them ruled over them.
௪௧அவர்களைத் தேசங்களுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்களுடைய பகைவர்கள் அவர்களை ஆண்டார்கள்.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
௪௨அவர்களுடைய எதிரிகள் அவர்களை ஒடுக்கினார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய கையின்கீழ்த் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டார்கள்.
43 Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.
௪௩அநேகமுறை அவர்களை விடுவித்தார்; அவர்களோ தங்களுடைய யோசனையினால் அவருக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகம்செய்து, தங்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தினால் சிறுமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார்கள்.
44 Nevertheless he regarded their distress when he heard their cry.
௪௪அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுதலை அவர் கேட்கும்போதோ, அவர்களுக்கு உண்டான இடுக்கத்தை அவர் பார்த்து,
45 And he remembered his covenant for them, and relented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
௪௫அவர்களுக்காகத் தமது உடன்படிக்கையை நினைத்து, தமது மிகுந்த கிருபையின்படி மனவேதனை அடைந்து,
46 He also made them to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.
௪௬அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்த அனைவரும் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கும்படி செய்தார்.
47 Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
௪௭எங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, நாங்கள் உமது பரிசுத்தப் பெயரைப் போற்றி, உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறதில் மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படி எங்களைக் காப்பாற்றி, எங்களைத் தேசங்களிலிருந்து சேர்த்தருளும்.
48 Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, Truly. Praise ye Jehovah.
௪௮இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா அநாதியாக என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர். மக்களெல்லோரும் ஆமென், என்பார்களாக, அல்லேலூயா.
