< Psalms 106 >

1 Praise ye Jehovah. O give thanks to Jehovah, for he is good, for his loving kindness is forever.
Tamandani Yehova. Yamikani Yehova chifukwa ndi wabwino; pakuti chikondi chake ndi chosatha.
2 Who can utter the mighty acts of Jehovah, or show forth all his praise?
Ndani angathe kufotokoza za ntchito zamphamvu za Yehova kapena kumutamanda mokwanira?
3 Blessed are those who keep justice, and he who does righteousness at all times.
Odala ndi amene amasunga chilungamo, amene amachita zolungama nthawi zonse.
4 Remember me, O Jehovah, with the favor that thou bear to thy people. O visit me with thy salvation,
Mundikumbukire Yehova, pamene mukuonetsa kukoma mtima kwanu kwa anthu anu, bwerani mudzandithandize pamene mukuwapulumutsa iwo,
5 that I may see the prosperity of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
kuti ndidzasangalale ndi chuma cha anthu anu osankhika, kuti ndidzakhale nacho chimwemwe cha anthu anu ndi kukhala pamodzi ndi cholowa chanu pa kukutamandani.
6 We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. we have done wickedly.
Ife tachimwa monga momwe anachitira makolo athu; tachita zolakwa ndipo tachita moyipa.
7 Our fathers did not understand thy wonders in Egypt. They did not remember the multitude of thy loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
Pamene makolo athu anali mu Igupto, sanalingalire za zozizwitsa zanu; iwo sanakumbukire kukoma mtima kwanu kochuluka, ndipo anawukira Inu pa Nyanja Yofiira.
8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
Komabe Iye anawapulumutsa chifukwa cha dzina lake, kuti aonetse mphamvu zake zazikulu.
9 He also rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up. So he led them through the depths as through a wilderness.
Anadzudzula Nyanja Yofiira, ndipo inawuma; anawatsogolera mʼnyanja yakuya ngati akuyenda mʼchipululu.
10 And he saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
Anawapulumutsa mʼdzanja la amaliwongo; anawawombola mʼdzanja la mdani.
11 And the waters covered their adversaries; there was not one of them left.
Madzi anamiza adani awo, palibe mmodzi wa iwo anapulumuka.
12 Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.
Kenaka iwo anakhulupirira malonjezo ake ndi kuyimba nyimbo zamatamando.
13 They soon forgot his works. They did not wait for his counsel,
Koma posachedwa anayiwala zimene Iye anachita, ndipo sanayembekezere uphungu wake.
14 but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and challenged God in the desert.
Mʼchipululu, anadzipereka ku zilakolako zawo; mʼdziko lopanda kanthu anayesa Mulungu.
15 And he gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
Choncho Iye anawapatsa chimene anapempha, koma anatumiza nthenda yowondetsa.
16 They also envied Moses in the camp, and Aaron the sanctified of Jehovah.
Mʼmisasa, anachitira nsanje Mose ndi Aaroni, amene Yehova anadzipatulira.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
Nthaka inatsekuka ndipo inameza Datani; inakwirira gulu la Abiramu.
18 And a fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked men.
Moto unayaka pakati pa otsatira awo; lawi lamoto linapsereza anthu oyipa.
19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.
Iwo anapanga mwana wangʼombe pa Horebu ndi kulambira fano loyengedwa kuchokera ku chitsulo.
20 Thus they changed their glory for the likeness of an ox that eats grass.
Anasinthanitsa ulemerero wawo ndi fano la ngʼombe yayimuna imene imadya udzu.
21 They forgot God their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,
Anayiwala Mulungu amene anawapulumutsa, amene anachita zinthu zazikulu mu Igupto,
22 wondrous works in the land of Ham, and fearful things by the Red Sea.
zozizwitsa mʼdziko la Hamu ndi machitidwe ake woopsa pa Nyanja Yofiira.
23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy.
Choncho Iye anawawuza kuti adzawawononga, pakanapanda Mose, mtumiki wake wosankhidwa, kuyima pamaso pake, ndi kuletsa mkwiyo wake kuti usawawononge.
24 Yea, they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word,
Motero iwo ananyoza dziko lokoma; sanakhulupirire malonjezo ake.
25 but murmured in their tents, and did not hearken to the voice of Jehovah.
Anangʼungʼudza mʼmatenti mwawo ndipo sanamvere Yehova.
26 Therefore he swore to them, that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,
Kotero Iye analumbira atakweza dzanja lake, kuti adzachititsa kuti iwowo afere mʼchipululu,
27 and that he would overthrow their seed among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
kuchititsa kuti zidzukulu zawo zifere pakati pa anthu a mitundu ina ndi kuwabalalitsa mʼdziko lonse.
28 They also joined themselves to Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
Iwo anayamba kupembedza Baala-Peori ndi kudya nsembe zoperekedwa kwa milungu yopanda moyo;
29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their doings, and the plague broke in upon them.
anaputa mkwiyo wa Yehova pa machitidwe awo oyipa, ndipo mliri unabuka pakati pawo.
30 Then Phinehas stood up, and executed judgment, and so the plague was stayed.
Koma Finehasi anayimirira ndi kulowererapo, ndipo mliri unaleka.
31 And that was reckoned to him for righteousness to all generations for evermore.
Chimenechi ndicho chinayesedwa chilungamo chake, kwa mibado yosatha imene ikubwera.
32 They also angered him at the waters of Meribah, so that it went ill with Moses because of them,
Pa madzi a ku Meriba iwo anakwiyitsa Yehova ndipo mavuto anabwera kwa Mose chifukwa cha anthuwo,
33 because they were rebellious against his spirit, and he spoke ill-advisedly with his lips.
pakuti iwowo anawukira mzimu wa Mulungu, ndipo pa milomo ya Mose panatuluka mawu osayenera.
34 They did not destroy the peoples, as Jehovah commanded them,
Aisraeliwo sanawononge mitundu ya anthu monga momwe Yehova anawalamulira.
35 but mingled themselves with the nations, and learned their works,
Koma anasakanizana ndi anthu a mitundu inayo ndi kuphunzira miyambo yawo.
36 and served their idols, which became a snare to them.
Ndipo anapembedza mafano awo, amene anakhala msampha kwa iwowo.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons,
Anapereka nsembe ana awo aamuna ndi ana awo aakazi kwa ziwanda.
38 and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. And the land was polluted with blood.
Anakhetsa magazi a anthu osalakwa, magazi a ana awo aamuna ndi a ana awo aakazi, amene anawapereka nsembe kwa mafano a ku Kanaani, ndipo dziko linayipitsidwa ndi magazi awo.
39 Thus they were defiled with their works, and played the harlot in their doings.
Iwo anadzidetsa okha ndi zimene anachita; ndi machitidwe awo amakhala ngati munthu wachigololo.
40 Therefore the wrath of Jehovah was kindled against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.
Tsono Yehova anakwiya ndi anthu ake ndipo ananyansidwa ndi cholowa chake.
41 And he gave them into the hand of the nations. And those who hated them ruled over them.
Iye anawapereka kwa anthu a mitundu ina, ndipo adani awo anawalamulira.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
Adani awo anawazunza ndi kuwakhazika pansi pa mphamvu yawo.
43 Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.
Iye ankawapulumutsa nthawi zambiri, koma iwo ankatsimikiza za kuwukira ndipo anawonongeka mʼmachimo awo.
44 Nevertheless he regarded their distress when he heard their cry.
Koma Iye anaona kuzunzika kwawo pamene anamva kulira kwawo;
45 And he remembered his covenant for them, and relented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
Chifukwa cha iwo Iye anakumbukira pangano lake ndipo anawalezera mtima chifukwa cha kukula kwa chikondi chake.
46 He also made them to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.
Iye anachititsa kuti amene anawagwira iwo ukapolo awamvere chisoni.
47 Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
Tipulumutseni Inu Yehova Mulungu wathu, ndipo mutisonkhanitse kuchoka kwa anthu a mitundu ina kuti tithe kuyamika dzina lanu loyera ndi kunyadira mʼmatamando anu.
48 Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, Truly. Praise ye Jehovah.
Atamandike Yehova, Mulungu wa Israeli, Kuyambira muyaya mpaka muyaya. Anthu onse anene kuti, “Ameni!” Tamandani Yehova.
