< Proverbs 29 >
1 He who, being often reproved, hardens his neck shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

2 When the righteous are increased, the people rejoice, but when a wicked man bears rule, the people sigh.
Sɛ teneneefoɔ di yie a, nnipa no di ahurisie; sɛ amumuyɛfoɔ di nnipa so a, wosi apinie.
3 He who loves wisdom delights his father, but he who keeps company with harlots wastes his substance.
Onipa a ɔdɔ nyansa no ma nʼagya anigye, nanso nnwamanfoɔ yɔnko sɛe nʼahonya.
4 By justice the king establishes the land, but he who exacts gifts overthrows it.
Ɔhene nam atɛntenenee so ma ɔman no asomdwoeɛ, nanso deɛ ɔde adifudepɛ gye adanmudeɛ no bɔ ɔman no.
5 A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his steps.
Obiara a ɔdaadaa ne yɔnko no sum ne nan afidie.
6 In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare, but a righteous man sings and rejoices.
Ɔdebɔneyɛfoɔ bɔne sum no afidie, nanso ɔteneneeni bɛtumi ato dwom ama nʼani agye.
7 A righteous man takes knowledge of the cause of the poor. A wicked man has no such understanding to know.
Ahiafoɔ atɛnteneebuo ho hia teneneefoɔ, nanso amumuyɛfoɔ nni saa tema no.
8 Scoffers set a city in a flame, but wise men turn away wrath.
Fɛdifoɔ de basabasayɛ ba kuropɔn mu, nanso anyansafoɔ dwodwo abufuo ano.
9 If a wise man has a controversy with a foolish man, whether he be angry or laugh, there will be no rest.
Sɛ onyansafoɔ de ɔkwasea kɔ asɛnniiɛ a, ɔkwasea no bobom kasa di fɛ, na asomdwoeɛ mma.
10 Bloodthirsty men hate him who is perfect, but the upright seek his soul.
Mogyapɛfoɔ kyiri ɔnokwafoɔ, na wɔhwehwɛ sɛ wɔbɛkum deɛ ɔtene.
11 A fool utters all his anger, but a wise man keeps it back and calms it.
Ɔkwasea da abufuo nyinaa adi, nanso onyansafoɔ hyɛ ne ho so.
12 If a ruler hearkens to falsehood, all his servants are wicked.
Sɛ sodifoɔ tie nkontomposɛm a, nʼadwumayɛfoɔ nyinaa bɛyɛ amumuyɛfoɔ.
13 The poor man and the oppressor meet together. Jehovah enlightens the eyes of them both.
Ohiani ne ɔhyɛsofoɔ nyinaa wɔ saa adeɛ baako yi: Awurade ma wɔn baanu nyinaa ani a wɔde hunu adeɛ.
14 The king who faithfully judges the poor, his throne shall be established forever.
Sɛ ɔhene di ahiafoɔ asɛm yie a, nʼahennwa bɛtim hɔ daa.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
Ntenesoɔ abaa ma nyansa, na abɔfra a wɔde ne pɛ ma noɔ no, gu ne na anim ase.
16 When the wicked are increased, transgression increases, but the righteous shall look upon their fall.
Sɛ amumuyɛfoɔ di yie a, bɔne nso kɔ so, na teneneefoɔ bɛhunu wɔn asehweɛ.
17 Correct thy son, and he will give thee rest, yea, he will give delight to thy soul.
Tene wo ba so, na ɔbɛma wo asomdwoeɛ; ɔbɛma wo ɔkra ani agye.
18 Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint, but he who keeps the law, happy is he.
Sɛ anisoadehunu nni hɔ a, nnipa no yɛ basaa; na nhyira nka deɛ ɔdi mmara so.
19 A servant will not be corrected by words, for though he understands, he will not give heed.
Wɔmmfa anomu nsɛm nko ara ntene ɔsomfoɔ so, ɔte aseɛ deɛ, nanso ɔremfa.
20 See thou a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
Wohunu obi a ɔpere ne nsɛm ho anaa? Ɔkwasea mu wɔ anidasoɔ sene no.
21 He who brings up his servant gently from childhood shall have him become a son at the last.
Sɛ obi korɔkorɔ ne ɔsomfoɔ firi ne mmɔfraase a, awieeɛ no ɔde awerɛhoɔ na ɛbɛba.
22 An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in transgression.
Onipa a ne bo afuo de mpaapaemu ba, na deɛ ne bo nkyɛre fu no yɛ bɔne pii.
23 A man's pride shall bring him low, but he who is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honor.
Onipa ahomasoɔ brɛ no ase, nanso deɛ ɔwɔ ahobrɛaseɛ no nya animuonyam.
24 He who is partner with a thief hates his own soul; he hears the adjuration and utters nothing.
Deɛ ɔboa ɔkorɔmfoɔ no ha ɔno ankasa ho. Wɔama waka ntam enti ɔsuro sɛ ɔbɛdi adanseɛ.
25 The fear of man brings a snare, but he who puts his trust in Jehovah shall be safe.
Onipa ho suro bɛtumi ayɛ afidie ama wo, na deɛ ɔde ne ho to Awurade so no, wɔbɛgye no.
26 Many seek the ruler's favor, but a man's justice is from Jehovah.
Bebree hwehwɛ sɛ wɔbɛnya ɔhene ne no akasa, nanso onipa nya atɛntenenee firi Awurade nkyɛn.
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, and he who is upright in the way is an abomination to a wicked man.
Teneneefoɔ kyiri atorofoɔ; na amumuyɛfoɔ kyiri wɔn a wɔn akwan tene.
