< Proverbs 16 >
1 The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from Jehovah.
Kuronga kwomwoyo ndekwomunhu, asi mhinduro yorurimi inobva kuna Jehovha.
2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but Jehovah weighs the spirits.
Nzira dzose dzomunhu dzinoita sedzakanaka pakuona kwake, asi Jehovha anoyera zvinangwa.
3 Commit thy works to Jehovah, and thy purposes shall be established.
Kumikidza kuna Jehovha chose chaunoita, ipapo urongwa hwako huchabudirira.
4 Jehovah has made everything for its own end, yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Jehovha anoitira zvinhu zvose magumo azvo; kunyange akaipa anomuitira zuva renjodzi.
5 Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to Jehovah. Hand in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Jehovha anovenga vose vane mwoyo inozvikudza. Zvirokwazvo, havangaregi kurangwa.
6 By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of Jehovah men depart from evil.
Kubudikidza norudo nokutendeka, chivi chinoyananisirwa, kubudikidza nokutya Jehovha munhu anorega kuita zvakaipa.
7 When a man's ways please Jehovah, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Kana nzira dzomunhu dzichifadza Jehovha, anoita kuti kunyange vavengi vake vagarisane naye murugare.
8 Better is a little, with righteousness, than great revenues with injustice.
Zviri nani kuva nezvishoma mukururama, pane kuva nezvakawanda kwazvo mukusaruramisira.
9 A man's heart devises his way, but Jehovah directs his steps.
Mumwoyo make munhu anoronga gwara rake, asi Jehovha ndiye anotonga kufamba kwake.
10 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king. His mouth shall not transgress in judgment.
Miromo yamambo inotaura seinotaura chirevo chaMwari, uye muromo wake haufaniri kurega kururamisira.
11 A just balance and scales are Jehovah's. All the weights of the bag are his work.
Zviyero nezvienzaniso zvechokwadi zvinobva kuna Jehovha; zviyero zvose zviri muhomwe ndiye akazviita.
12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness, for the throne is established by righteousness.
Madzimambo anovenga kuita zvakaipa, nokuti chigaro choushe chinosimbiswa nokururama.
13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings, and they love him who speaks right.
Madzimambo anofarira miromo inotaura chokwadi; anoremekedza munhu anotaura chokwadi.
14 The wrath of a king is messengers of death, but a wise man will pacify it.
Kutsamwa kwamambo inhume yorufu, asi munhu akachenjera anonyaradza kutsamwa uku.
15 In the light of the king's countenance is life, and his favor is as a cloud of the latter rain.
Kana chiso chamambo chichibwinya, zvinoreva upenyu, nyasha dzake dzakaita segore remvura panguva yomunakamwe.
16 How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! Yea, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.
Zviri nani sei kuwana uchenjeri pane goridhe, kusarudza njere pane sirivha!
17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil. He who keeps his way preserves his soul.
Mugwagwa mukuru wavakarurama unonzvenga zvakaipa; uye anochengeta nzira yake anochengeta upenyu hwake.
18 Pride is before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Kuzvikudza kunotangira kuparadzwa, mweya wamanyawi unotangira kuwa.
19 Better it is to be of a lowly spirit with the poor, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Zviri nani kuva nomweya unozvininipisa pakati pavakadzvinyirirwa pane kugoverana zvakapambwa navanozvikudza.
20 He who gives heed to the word shall find good, and whoever trusts in Jehovah, happy is he.
Ani naani anoteerera kurayirwa achabudirira, uye akaropafadzwa uyo anovimba naJehovha.
21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent, and the sweetness of the lips increases learning.
Vakachenjera pamwoyo vanonzi ndivo vanonzvera, uye mashoko akanaka anokurudzira kurayirwa.
22 Understanding is a well-spring of life to him who has it, but the correction of fools is folly.
Njere itsime roupenyu kuna avo vanadzo, asi upenzi hunouyisa kurangwa kumapenzi.
23 The heart of the wise instructs his mouth, and adds learning to his lips.
Mwoyo womunhu akachenjera unotungamirira muromo wake, uye miromo yake inokurudzira kurayirwa.
24 Pleasant words are a honeycomb: Sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Mashoko anofadza akafanana nezinga rouchi, anozipa kumweya, anoporesa mapfupa.
25 There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Kune nzira inoita seyakanaka kumunhu, asi magumo ayo inoenda kurufu.
26 The appetite of the laboring man labors for him, for his mouth urges him.
Nzara yomushandi inomushandira; nzara yake inoita kuti arambe achishanda.
27 A worthless man devises mischief, and in his lips there is as a scorching fire.
Munhu asina maturo anoronga zvakaipa, uye matauriro ake akaita somoto unopisa.
28 A perverse man scatters abroad strife, and a whisperer separates chief friends.
Munhu akatsauka anomutsa kupesana, uye guhwa rinoparadzanisa shamwari dzepedyo.
29 A man of violence entices his neighbor, and leads him in a way that is not good.
Munhu anoita nechisimba anonyengera muvakidzani wake, uye anomufambisa napanzira isina kunaka.
30 He who shuts his eyes devises perverse things. He who moves his lips brings evil to pass.
Uyo anochonya nameso ake ari kuronga zvakaipa; uyo anoruma miromo yake ari kuda kuita zvakaipa.
31 The hoary head is a crown of glory. It shall be found in the way of righteousness.
Bvudzi rakachena ikorona yakaisvonaka; inowanikwa noupenyu hwakarurama.
32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city.
Zviri nani kuva munhu ane mwoyo murefu pane kuva murwi, munhu anozvibata pakutsamwa kwake ari nani pane uyo anotapa guta.
33 The lot is cast into the lap, but the whole disposing thereof is of Jehovah.
Mujenya unokandirwa pamakumbo, asi zvirevo zvose zvinobva kuna Jehovha.
