Proverbs 13
1 A wise son hears his father's instruction, but a scoffer listens not to rebuke.
၁ပညာ ရှိသောသား သည် အဘ ၏ သွန်သင်ခြင်း ကို နားထောင်တတ်၏။ မထီမဲ့မြင် ပြုသောသားမူကား ၊ အပြစ်တင် ခြင်းကို နား မ ထောင်တတ်။
2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth, but the soul of the treacherous, violence.
၂လူ သည် မိမိနှုတ် ၏အသီး တည်းဟူသော ကောင်း သောအရာကို စား ရ၏။ ပြစ်မှားတတ်သော သူ မူကား ၊ ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းအပြစ်၏အသီးကို စားရ၏။
3 He who guards his mouth keeps his life. He who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.
၃မိမိ နှုတ် ကိုစောင့် သောသူသည် မိမိ အသက် ကို စောင့် ၏။ မိမိ နှုတ် ကို ကျယ်ကျယ် ဖွင့်သောသူမူကား၊ ပျက်စီး ခြင်းသို့ရောက်တတ်၏။
4 The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
၄ပျင်းရိ သောသူသည် အဘယ်အရာကိုမျှ တောင့်တ ၍ မ ရတတ်။ လုံ့လဝိရိယ ပြုသောသူမူကား ၊ မိမိအလို ဆန္ဒပြည့်စုံ ရ၏။
5 A righteous man hates lying, but a wicked man is loathsome, and comes to shame.
၅ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူသည် မုသာ စကား ကို မုန်း တတ်၏။ မ တရားသောသူမူကား ၊ စက်ဆုပ် ဘွယ်ဖြစ်၍ ၊ အရှက် ကွဲခြင်းသို့ ရောက်တတ်၏။
6 Righteousness guards him who is upright in the way, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.
၆ဖြောင့်မတ် ခြင်းတရားသည် လမ်း မလွှဲသောသူကို စောင့် တတ်၏။ ဒုစရိုက် တရားမူကား ၊ အပြစ် ရှိသောသူကိုလှဲ တတ်၏။
7 There is he who makes himself rich, yet has nothing, and he who makes himself poor, yet has great wealth.
၇အလွန် ဆင်းရဲလျက် နှင့် ရတတ် ဟန်ဆောင်သော သူရှိ ၏။ အလွန် ရ တတ်လျက် နှင့် ဆင်းရဲ ဟန်ဆောင်သောသူလည်းရှိ၏။
8 The ransom of a man's life is his riches, but the poor hears no threatening.
၈စည်းစိမ် သည် ရတတ်သောသူ ၏အသက် ကို ရွေး ဘို့ဖြစ်၏။ ဆင်းရဲ သောသူမူကား ၊ အပြစ်တင် သော စကားကို မ ကြား ဘဲနေ၏။
9 The light of the righteous rejoices, but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.
၉ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူ ၏အလင်း သည် ရွှင်လန်း ၏။ မ တရားသောသူ ၏မီးခွက် မူကား ၊ သေ ရလိမ့်မည်။
10 Through pride a vain man causes contention, but wisdom is with the well-advised.
၁၀မာန ကြောင့်သာ ရန်တွေ့ ခြင်းဖြစ် ၏။ သတိပေးသော စကားကို နားခံ သောသူမူကား ပညာ ရှိ၏။
11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished, but he who gathers by labor shall have increase.
၁၁လျှပ်ပေါ် ခြင်းအားဖြင့် ဥစ္စာ သည်လျော့ တတ် ၏။ ကြိုးစား အားထုတ် ၍ ဆည်းဖူး သောသူ ၏ဥစ္စာမူကား ၊ ပြန့်ပွား တတ်၏။
12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.
၁၂မြော်လင့် သောအရာသည် ဖင့်နွဲ လျှင်၊ စိတ် နှလုံးကို ပူပန် စေတတ်၏။ အလို ပြည့်စုံ သောအခါမူကား အသက် ပင် ဖြစ်၏။
13 He who despises the word brings destruction on himself, but he who fears the commandment shall be rewarded.
၁၃နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်ကို မထီမဲ့မြင် ပြုသောသူသည် ပျက်စီး လိမ့်မည်။ ပညတ် တရားတော်ကိုခန့်ညား သော သူမူကား ၊ ချမ်းသာ ရလိမ့်မည်။
14 The law of a wise man is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
၁၄ပညာရှိ သောသူ၏တရား သည် အသေခံ ရာ ကျော့ကွင်း တို့မှ ၊ လွှဲ ရှောင်ရာအသက် စမ်းရေ တွင်းဖြစ်၏။
15 Good understanding gives favor, but the way of the transgressor is hard.
၁၅ကောင်း သောဉာဏ် ရှိသောသူသည် မျက်နှာ ရ တတ်၏။ ပြစ်မှား သောသူတို့ လမ်း မူကား ၊ ခက် သော လမ်းဖြစ်၏။
16 Every prudent man works with knowledge, but a fool flaunts folly.
၁၆သမ္မာ သတိရှိသော သူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ပညာ အတတ်နှင့် ပြုမူ တတ်ကြ၏။ မိုက် သောသူမူကား ၊ မိမိမိုက် သော အပြစ်ကို ထင်ရှား စေတတ်၏။
17 A wicked messenger falls into evil, but a faithful ambassador is health.
၁၇မ တရားသောအစေခံ သည် မိမိစောင့် သောအမှု ကို ဖျက် တတ်၏။ သစ္စာ ရှိသော သံတမန် မူကား ၊ ကျန်းမာ ခြင်းအကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။
18 Poverty and shame are to him who refuses correction, but he who regards reproof shall be honored.
၁၈သွန်သင် ခြင်းကို ငြင်းပယ် သောသူသည် ဆင်းရဲ ခြင်းနှင့် ရှက်ကြောက် ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ ဆုံးမ သော စကားကို နားထောင် သော သူမူကား ၊ ဂုဏ် အသရေကို ရလိမ့်မည်။
19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul, but it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil.
၁၉အလိုဆန္ဒ ပြည့်စုံ ခြင်းအရာသည် ချိုမြိန် ၏။ ဒုစရိုက် ကို ရှောင် သောအရာမူကား ၊ မိုက် သောသူတို့ စက်ဆုပ် သော အရာဖြစ်၏။
20 Walk with wise men, and thou shall be wise. But the companion of fools shall smart for it.
၂၀ပညာရှိ တို့နှင့် ပေါင်းဘော် သောသူသည် ပညာ ရှိတတ်၏။ လူမိုက် တို့နှင့် ပေါင်းဘော် သောသူမူကား ၊ ပျက်စီး တတ်၏။
21 Evil pursues sinners, but the righteous shall be recompensed with good.
၂၁အပြစ် ရှိသောသူတို့ ကို ဘေး လိုက် တတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူတို့ မူကား ၊ ကောင်း သောအကျိုးကိုခံရ လိမ့်မည်။
22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his son's sons, and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous.
၂၂သူတော် ကောင်းသည် သား မြေးတို့အဘို့ အမွေဥစ္စာကို ချန်ထားတတ်၏။ အပြစ် ရှိသောသူ ၏စည်းစိမ် မူကား ၊ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူတို့ အဘို့ သိုထား လျက်ရှိ၏။
23 Much food is in the tillage of the poor, but there is that is consumed because of injustice.
၂၃ဆင်းရဲ သား လယ်လုပ် ခြင်းအားဖြင့်စားစရာ ပွါးများ ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ၊ မ တရား သော အမှုကြောင့် ပျက်စီး ခြင်းသို့ ရောက် တတ်၏။
24 He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him chastens him promptly.
၂၄ကြိမ်လုံး ကို မ သုံးသောသူသည် မိမိ သား ကို မုန်း ရာသို့ ရောက်၏။ သားကိုချစ် သောသူမူကား ၊ ငယ် သောအရွယ်မှစ၍ဆုံးမ တတ်၏။
25 A righteous man eats to the satisfying of his soul, but the belly of the wicked shall want.
၂၅ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူသည် ဝ စွာစား ရသောအခွင့်ရှိ၏။ မ တရားသော သူမူကား ၊ မွတ်သိပ် ခြင်းကိုခံရလိမ့်မည်။
