Philippians 2
1 If therefore any exhortation is in Christ, if any encouragement of love, if any fellowship of spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
Se, portanto, há alguma exortação em Cristo, se há algum consolo de amor, se há alguma comunhão do Espírito, se há alguma misericórdia e compaixão terna,
2 fulfill my joy, that ye may think the same way, having the same love, being knit in soul, thinking in oneness,
faz minha alegria plena, tendo a mesma mente, tendo o mesmo amor, sendo de um só acordo, de uma só mente;
3 in nothing according to selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility considering each other surpassing yourselves.
doing nada através da rivalidade ou da vaidade, mas na humildade, cada um contando os outros melhor do que a si mesmo;
4 Look ye out each man not to things of yourselves, but each man also to the things of others.
cada um de vocês não apenas olhando para suas próprias coisas, mas cada um de vocês também para as coisas dos outros.
5 Indeed have this way to think in you, that also was in Christ Jesus,
Tenha isto em sua mente, que também estava em Cristo Jesus,
6 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider being equal to God something to seize and hold.
que, existindo na forma de Deus, não considerava a igualdade com Deus algo a ser compreendido,
7 But he emptied himself, having taken a form of a bondman, having become in a likeness of men.
mas esvaziou-se a si mesmo, tomando a forma de um servo, sendo feito à semelhança dos homens.
8 And having been found in a form like a man, he lowered himself, having become obedient until death, even of death from a cross.
E sendo encontrado na forma humana, ele se humilhou, tornando-se obediente até a morte, sim, a morte da cruz.
9 Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name above every name,
Por isso, Deus também o exaltou muito e lhe deu o nome que está acima de todo nome,
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of the heavenly, and the earthly, and the sub-earthly,
para que ao nome de Jesus todo joelho se curve, dos que estão no céu, dos que estão na terra e dos que estão debaixo da terra,
11 and that every tongue should acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
e para que toda língua confesse que Jesus Cristo é Senhor, para glória de Deus Pai.
12 Therefore my beloved, just as ye have always obeyed, not only as in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Portanto, meu amado, como sempre obedecestes, não só na minha presença, mas agora muito mais na minha ausência, trabalhai vossa própria salvação com medo e tremor.
13 For it is God who works in you both to desire and to work for approval.
Pois é Deus que trabalha em vós tanto para a vontade como para trabalhar para o seu bom prazer.
14 Do all things without grumblings and arguments,
Faça todas as coisas sem reclamar e discutir,
15 so that ye may become blameless and pure children of God, blameless in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.
para que você possa se tornar inocente e inofensivo, filhos de Deus sem defeito no meio de uma geração corrupta e perversa, entre os quais você é visto como luzes no mundo,
16 Holding firm the word of life, for a boast by me in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.
segurando a palavra da vida, para que eu possa ter algo de que me vangloriar no dia de Cristo que eu não corri em vão nem trabalhei em vão.
17 Yet even if I am poured out a libation upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
Sim, e se sou derramado sobre o sacrifício e serviço de sua fé, fico feliz e me regozijo com todos vocês.
18 And in the same way, ye also be glad and rejoice with me.
Da mesma forma, vocês também devem se alegrar e se regozijar comigo.
19 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I also may be cheerful when I know the things about you.
Mas espero no Senhor Jesus enviar Timóteo a você em breve, que eu também possa ficar animado quando souber como você está indo.
20 For I have no man like-minded who will genuinely care for the things about you.
Pois não tenho mais ninguém que se preocupe com você, que realmente se importará com você.
21 For they all seek the things of themselves, not the things of Christ Jesus.
Pois todos eles buscam o que lhes é próprio, não as coisas de Jesus Cristo.
22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a child to a father, he served with me for the good news.
Mas vocês sabem que Ele provou a si mesmo. Como uma criança serve a um pai, assim ele serviu comigo na promoção da Boa Nova.
23 Indeed therefore I hope to send this man immediately, whenever I may focus on the things concerning me.
Por isso, espero enviá-lo imediatamente, tão logo eu veja como será comigo.
24 And I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come soon.
Mas confio no Senhor que eu mesmo também irei em breve.
25 But I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and co-workman and fellow soldier, and your apostle and servant of my need,
Mas achei necessário enviar a vocês Epafrodito, meu irmão, companheiro de trabalho, companheiro de soldado, e seu apóstolo e servo de minha necessidade,
26 since he was longing for you all, and distressed because ye heard that he was sick.
já que ele ansiava por todos vocês, e estava muito perturbado porque vocês tinham ouvido dizer que ele estava doente.
27 For also he was sick, near death, but God was merciful to him, and not only him, but also me, so that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.
Pois de fato ele estava doente quase até a morte, mas Deus teve piedade dele, e não só dele, mas também de mim, para que eu não tivesse tristeza por tristeza.
28 Therefore I sent him more urgently, so that having seen him again, ye may rejoice, and I may be less sorrowful.
Eu o enviei, portanto, mais diligentemente, para que, quando o virem novamente, se alegrem, e para que eu seja o menos triste.
29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness, and hold such men esteemed.
Recebei-o, portanto, no Senhor com toda a alegria, e honrei tais pessoas,
30 Because for sake of the work of the Christ he came near the point of death, handing over his life so that he might fill up the deficiency of your service toward me.
porque pela obra de Cristo ele se aproximou da morte, arriscando sua vida para suprir o que faltava em vosso serviço para comigo.
