Numbers 36

1 And the heads of the fathers of the family of the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and spoke before Moses, and before the rulers, the heads of the fathers of the sons of Israel.

Or les chefs des pères de la famille des enfants de Galaad, fils de Makir, fils de Manassé, d'entre les familles des enfants de Joseph, s'approchèrent, et parlèrent devant Moïse, et devant les principaux qui étaient les chefs des pères des enfants d'Israël,

2 And they said, Jehovah commanded my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the sons of Israel. And my lord was commanded by Jehovah to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.

Et dirent: l'Eternel a commandé à mon Seigneur de donner aux enfants d'Israël le pays en héritage par sort; et mon Seigneur a reçu commandement de l'Eternel de donner l'héritage de Tsélophcad notre frère à ses filles.

3 And if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the sons of Israel, then their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So it will be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.

Si elles sont mariées à quelqu'un des enfants des [autres] Tribus d'Israël, leur héritage sera ôté de l'héritage de nos pères, et sera ajouté à l'héritage de la Tribu de laquelle elles seront; ainsi il sera ôté de l'héritage qui nous est échu par le sort.

4 And when the jubilee of the sons of Israel shall be, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.

Même quand le [temps du] Jubilé viendra pour les enfants d'Israël, on ajoutera leur héritage à l'héritage de la Tribu de laquelle elles seront; ainsi leur héritage sera retranché de l'héritage de nos pères.

5 And Moses commanded the sons of Israel according to the word of Jehovah, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph speak right.

Et Moïse commanda aux enfants d'Israël, suivant le commandement de la bouche de l'Eternel, en disant: Ce que la Tribu des enfants de Joseph dit, est juste.

6 This is the thing which Jehovah commands concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them be married to whom they think best, only into the family of the tribe of their father shall they be married.

C'est ici ce que l'Eternel a commandé au sujet des filles de Tsélophcad, en disant: Elles se marieront à qui bon leur semblera, toutefois elles seront mariées dans quelqu'une des familles de la Tribu de leurs pères.

7 So no inheritance of the sons of Israel shall remove from tribe to tribe, for the sons of Israel shall cling each one to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

Ainsi l'héritage ne sera point transporté entre les enfants d'Israël de Tribu en Tribu; car chacun des enfants d'Israël se tiendra à l'héritage de la Tribu de ses pères.

8 And every daughter, who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the sons of Israel, shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the sons of Israel may possess every man the inheritance of his fathers.

Et toute fille qui sera héritière de quelque possession d'entre les Tribus des enfants d'Israël, sera mariée à quelqu'un de la famille de la Tribu de son père, afin que chacun des enfants d'Israël hérite l'héritage de ses pères.

9 So no inheritance shall move from one tribe to another tribe, for the tribes of the sons of Israel shall cling each one to his own inheritance.

L'héritage donc ne sera point transporté d'une Tribu à l'autre, mais chacun d'entre les Tribus des enfants d'Israël se tiendra à son héritage.

10 Even as Jehovah commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad,

Les filles de Tsélophcad firent ainsi que l'Eternel avait commandé à Moïse.

11 for Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophedad, were married to their father's brothers' sons.

Car Mahla, Tirtsa, Hogla, Milca, et Noha, filles de Tsélophcad, se marièrent aux enfants de leurs oncles.

12 They were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.

Ainsi elles furent mariées à ceux qui étaient des familles des enfants de Manassé, fils de Joseph; et leur héritage demeura dans la Tribu de la famille de leur père.

13 These are the commandments and the ordinances which Jehovah commanded by Moses to the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

Ce sont là les commandements et les jugements que l'Eternel ordonna par le moyen de Moïse aux enfants d'Israël, dans les campagnes de Moab, près du Jourdain de Jéricho.
