< Numbers 27 >
1 Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph, drew near. And these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
Niheo mb’eo amy zao o anak’ ampela’ i Tselofekhàde ana’ i Kèfere, ana’ i Gilàde, ana’i Makìre, ana’i Menasè ana’ Iosefeo; le zao ty tahina’ o anak’ ampela’eo: i Maklà, i Noae, Koglàe, i Milka, vaho i Tirtsà,
2 And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the rulers and all the congregation, at the door of the tent of meeting, saying,
naho nijohañe añatrefa’ i Mosè naho i Elazare mpisoroñe naho o roandriañeo naho i hene valobohòkey an-dalan-kibohom-pamantañañe eo, nanao ty hoe:
3 Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against Jehovah in the company of Korah, but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons.
Nivilasy am-patrambey añe ty rae’ay, f’ie tsy ni-mpiamo nifanontoñe niatreatre am’ Iehovào, tsy ni-mpiamy Kòrahke, fa nihomak’ amo hakeo’eo avao vaho tsy nanañ’ ana-dahy.
4 Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.
Aa vaho hasintak’ aman-drolongo’e hao ty tahinan-drae’ay amy te tsy aman’ anadahy? Ehe anoloro lova amo longon-droae’aio.
5 And Moses brought their case before Jehovah.
Nente’ i Mosè añatrefa’ Iehovà i saontsy zay.
6 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
Le nitsara amy Mosè t’Iehovà nanao ty hoe:
7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right. Thou shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brothers, and thou shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
Mivolan-tò o anak’ ampela’ i Tselofekàdeo; toe hitolora’o lova amo lovan-drahalahin-drae’eo, vaho hampandovae’o ty lovan-drae’e.
8 And thou shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, If a man dies, and has no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.
Le saontsio amo ana’ Israeleo ty hoe: Naho vilasy t’indaty tsy nampipok’ ana-dahy, le hampandovae’ areo o anak’ ampela’eo ty lova’e.
9 And if he has no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
Aa ie tsy aman’ anak’ampela le hatolo’o an-droahalahi’e ty lova’e.
10 And if he has no brothers, then ye shall give his inheritance to his father's brothers.
Aa ie tsy aman-drahalahy, le hatolo’o an-droahalahin-drae’e ty lova’e.
11 And if his father has no brothers, then ye shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. And it shall be to the sons of Israel a statute and ordinance, as Jehovah commanded Moses.
Aa naho tsy aman-drahalahy ty rae’e le hatolo’o amy ze longo marine aze amy fifokoa’ey i lova’ey, vaho ie ty handova aze; ho fañè-jaka amo ana’ Israeleo izay amy nandilia’ Iehovà i Mosèy.
12 And Jehovah said to Moses, Get thee up onto this mountain of Abarim, and behold the land which I have given to the sons of Israel.
Aa le hoe t’Iehovà amy Mosè: Mañambonea am-bohi’ Abarìme mb’ atoy, le oniño i tane atoloko amo ana’ Israeleoy.
13 And when thou have seen it, thou also shall be gathered to thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered,
Aa ihe mahaisak’ aze, le hatontoñe amo longo’oo manahake ty nanontoñañe i Aharone amo rahalahi’eo.
14 because ye rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the waters before their eyes. (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
Amy te niola’o i lilikoy amy nifandiera’ i valobohòkey am-patrambei’ i Tsiney, ihe tsy nañonjoñe ty engeko añatrefa’ iereo amy ranoy. (Ie i rano natao Meribà e Kadese am-patram-bei’ i Tsiney.)
15 And Moses spoke to Jehovah, saying,
Le nisaontsy am’ Iehovà t’i Mosè nanao ty hoe,
16 Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
Ee te hanendre ondaty hifehe i valobohòkey t’Iehovà Andrianañaharen’ arofo’ ze hene nofotse,
17 who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, that the congregation of Jehovah be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
ie ty hiakatse naho hizilik’ añatrefa’ iareo, naho hiaolo iareo te mionjoñe, vaho hampipoly iareo, tsy mone hanao lian’ añondry tsy amam-piarake ty valobohò’ Iehovà.
18 And Jehovah said to Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay thy hand upon him,
Le hoe t’Iehovà amy Mosè: Rambeso t’Iehosoa, ana’ i None, ondaty aman’ arofo, le anampezo fitàñe;
19 and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation, and give him a charge in their sight.
avotraho aolo’ i Elazare naho añatrefa’ i valobohòkey re le orizo am-pahaoniña’ iareo.
20 And thou shall put of thine honor upon him, that all the congregation of the sons of Israel may obey.
Le andivao ama’e ty lili’o, hivohora’ ty valobohò’ Israele.
21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Jehovah. At his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the sons of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
Hijohañe añatrefa’ i Elazare mpisoroñe re, le ie ty hañontane ho aze ami’ ty fizakà’ i Orime añatrefan’ Añahare. Amy saontsi’ey ty hiavota’ iareo vaho amy saontsi’ey ty hiziliha’ iareo; ie naho o ana’ Israele mindre ama’eo, i valobohòkey.
22 And Moses did as Jehovah commanded him. And he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation.
Aa le nanoe’ i Mosè i nandilia’ Iehovà azey. Rinambe’e t’Iehosoa vaho nampiheove’e añatrefa’ i Elazare mpisoroñe naho i valobohòkey;
23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as Jehovah spoke by Moses.
