Numbers 1
1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they came out of the land of Egypt, saying,
੧ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ, ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਸੀਨਈ ਦੀ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ
2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, every male, by their polls,
੨ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਟੱਬਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ-ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਰ।
3 from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go forth to war in Israel. Thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.
੩ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਲਈ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰੋ।
4 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe, each one head of his fathers' house.
੪ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੇਕ ਗੋਤ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
5 And these are the names of the men who shall stand with you. Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.
੫ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਇਹ ਹਨ, ਰਊਬੇਨ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਦੇਊਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲੀਸੂਰ।
6 Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
੬ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਲਈ ਸੂਰੀਸ਼ਦਾਈ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਲੁਮੀਏਲ।
7 Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
੭ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਲਈ ਅੰਮੀਨਾਦਾਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹਸ਼ੋਨ।
8 Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.
੮ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ ਲਈ ਸੂਆਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਥਨਿਏਲ।
9 Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.
੯ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਲਈ ਹੇਲੋਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲੀਆਬ।
10 Of the sons of Joseph, of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
੧੦ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਲਈ ਅੰਮੀਹੂਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾਮਾ। ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਲਈ ਪਦਾਹਸੂਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗਮਲੀਏਲ।
11 Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.
੧੧ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਲਈ ਗਿਦਓਨੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬੀਦਾਨ।
12 Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
੧੨ਦਾਨ ਲਈ ਅੰਮੀਸ਼ੱਦਾਈ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹੀਅਜ਼ਰ।
13 Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.
੧੩ਆਸ਼ੇਰ ਲਈ ਆਕਰਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਗੀਏਲ।
14 Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
੧੪ਗਾਦ ਲਈ ਦਊਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲਯਾਸਾਫ਼।
15 Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.
੧੫ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਲਈ ਏਨਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹੀਰਾ।
16 These are those who were called from the congregation, the rulers of the tribes of their fathers. They were the heads of the thousands of Israel.
੧੬ਇਹ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਨ । ਇਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਨ।
17 And Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name,
੧੭ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
18 and they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month. And they declared their ancestry after their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.
੧੮ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁੱਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਲਿਖਵਾਈ।
19 As Jehovah commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.
੧੯ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਸਨੇ ਸੀਨਈ ਦੀ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
20 And the sons of Reuben, Israel's firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war,
੨੦ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੌਠੇ ਰਊਬੇਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
21 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand and five hundred.
੨੧ਰਊਬੇਨ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਰਖ ਛਿਆਲੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪੰਜ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
22 Of the sons of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, those who were numbered of it, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war,
੨੨ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਪੁਰਖ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
23 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.
੨੩ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਰਖ ਉਣਾਹਠ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
24 Of the sons of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੨੪ਗਾਦ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
25 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.
੨੫ਗਾਦ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੰਤਾਲੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਸਨ।
26 Of the sons of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੨੬ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
27 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were seventy-four thousand and six hundred.
੨੭ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਰਖ ਚੁਹੱਤਰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
28 Of the sons of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੨੮ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
29 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand and four hundred.
੨੯ਅਤੇ ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਚੁਰੰਜਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
30 Of the sons of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੩੦ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
31 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand and four hundred.
੩੧ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਤਵੰਜਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
32 Of the sons of Joseph, namely, of the sons of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੩੨ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
33 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred;
੩੩ਅਤੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪੰਜ ਸੌ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਨ।
34 of the sons of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੩੪ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
35 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand and two hundred.
੩੫ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਰਖ ਬੱਤੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੋ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
36 Of the sons of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੩੬ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
37 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty-five thousand and four hundred.
੩੭ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੈਂਤੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
38 Of the sons of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੩੮ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
39 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand and seven hundred.
੩੯ਅਤੇ ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਾਹਠ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸੱਤ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
40 Of the sons of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੪੦ਆਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
41 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand and five hundred.
੪੧ਅਤੇ ਆਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕਤਾਲੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪੰਜ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
42 Of the sons of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
੪੨ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
43 those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
੪੩ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਰਖ ਤਿਰਵੰਜਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਸਨ।
44 These are those who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the rulers of Israel, being twelve men. They were each one for his fathers' house.
੪੪ਇਹ ਉਹ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਸਾ, ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਲਈ ਸਨ।
45 So all those who were numbered of the sons of Israel by their fathers' houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war in Israel,
੪੫ਸੋ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ।
46 even all those who were numbered were six hundred three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
੪੬ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ ਛੇ ਲੱਖ ਤਿੰਨ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪੰਜ ਸੋ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਸਨ।
47 But the Levites according to the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.
੪੭ਪਰ ਲੇਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਗਿਣੇ ਗਏ।
48 For Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
੪੮ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ
49 Only the tribe of Levi thou shall not number, neither shall thou take the sum of them among the sons of Israel,
੪੯ਕਿ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਨਾ ਗਿਣੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਂ।
50 but appoint thou the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all the furniture of it, and over all that belongs to it. They shall bear the tabernacle, and all the furniture of it, and they shall minister to it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
੫੦ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਖੀ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕਰੀਂ। ਉਹ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਾਉਣ।
51 And when the tabernacle sets forward, the Levites shall take it down, and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up. And the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
੫੧ਜਦ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਲੇਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਉਣਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਵੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
52 And the sons of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their armies.
੫੨ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਾਉਣ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਝੰਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ।
53 But the Levites shall encamp round about the tabernacle of the testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the sons of Israel. And the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.
੫੩ਪਰ ਲੇਵੀ ਸਾਖੀ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਾਉਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾ ਭੜਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਸਾਖੀ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨ।
54 Thus did the sons of Israel. According to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so they did.
੫੪ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
