And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted, and he said, For I will go down to Sheol to my son mourning. And his father wept for him. (Sheol h7585)

And he said, My son shall not go down with you, for his brother is dead, and he only is left. If harm befalls him by the way in which ye go, then ye will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Ṣùgbọ́n Jakọbu wí pé, “Ọmọ mi kì yóò bá a yín lọ, ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ̀ ti kú, òun nìkan sì ni ó kù nínú àwọn ọmọ ìyá rẹ̀. Bí ohunkóhun bá ṣẹlẹ̀ sí i, ìbànújẹ́ ni yóò sì pa mi kú ni ọjọ́ ogbó mi yìí.” (Sheol h7585)

it will come to pass, when he sees that the young man is not with us, that he will die. And thy servants will bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

But if Jehovah makes a new thing, and the ground opens its mouth, and swallows them up, with all that pertains to them, and they go down alive into Sheol, then ye shall understand that these men have despised Jehovah. (Sheol h7585)

So they, and all that pertained to them, went down alive into Sheol. And the earth closed upon them, and they perished from among the assembly. (Sheol h7585)

For a fire is kindled in my anger, and burns to the lowest Sheol, and devours the earth with its increase, and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)

As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol shall come up no more. (Sheol h7585)

If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness, (Sheol h7585)

It shall go down to the bars of Sheol when once there is rest in the dust. (Sheol h7585)

They are appointed as a flock for Sheol. Death shall be their shepherd, and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning. And their beauty shall be for Sheol to consume, that there be no habitation for it. (Sheol h7585)

Sheol from beneath is moved for thee, to meet thee at thy coming. It stirs up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth. It has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Sheol h7585)

Thy pomp is brought down to Sheol, and the noise of thy viols. The worm is spread under thee, and worms cover thee. (Sheol h7585)

Yet thou shall be brought down to Sheol, to the utmost parts of the pit. (Sheol h7585)

Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and we are at agreement with Sheol. When the overflowing scourge shall pass through it shall not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hid ourselves under falsehood. (Sheol h7585)

And your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. (Sheol h7585)

I said, In the noontide of my days I shall go into the gates of Sheol. I am deprived of the residue of my years. (Sheol h7585)

For Sheol cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee. Those who go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. (Sheol h7585)

Thus says the lord Jehovah: In the day when he went down to Sheol I caused a mourning. I covered the deep for him. And I restrained the rivers of it, and the great waters were stayed. And I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him. (Sheol h7585)

I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall when I cast him down to Sheol with those who descend into the pit. And all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the nether parts of the earth. (Sheol h7585)

They also went down into Sheol with him to those who are slain by the sword, yea, those who were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the nations. (Sheol h7585)

And they shall not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, and have laid their swords under their heads. But their iniquities are upon their bones, for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
