And a certain ruler questioned him, saying, Good teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life? (aiōnios )

And behold, a green horse, and he who sits on top of it. His name was Death, and Hades followed with him. And authority was given to him over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with starvation, and with what is deadly, and by the beasts of the earth. (Hadēs )
tataḥ pāṇḍuravarṇa eko 'śvo mayā dṛṣṭaḥ, tadārohiṇo nāma mṛtyuriti paralokaśca tam anucarati khaṅgena durbhikṣeṇa mahāmāryyā vanyapaśubhiśca lokānāṁ badhāya pṛthivyāścaturthāṁśasyādhipatyaṁ tasmā adāyi| (Hadēs )
saying, Truly! Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and strength, is for our God into the ages of the ages. Truly! (aiōn )
tathāstu dhanyavādaśca tejo jñānaṁ praśaṁsanaṁ| śauryyaṁ parākramaścāpi śaktiśca sarvvameva tat| varttatāmīśvare'smākaṁ nityaṁ nityaṁ tathāstviti| (aiōn )
And the fifth agent sounded, and I saw a star fallen from the sky to the earth. And the key of the pit of the abyss was given to him. (Abyssos )
tataḥ paraṁ saptamadūtena tūryyāṁ vāditāyāṁ gaganāt pṛthivyāṁ nipatita ekastārako mayā dṛṣṭaḥ, tasmai rasātalakūpasya kuñjikādāyi| (Abyssos )
And he opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke ascended out of the pit, like smoke of a burning furnace. And the sun and the air were darkened from the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos )
tena rasātalakūpe mukte mahāgnikuṇḍasya dhūma iva dhūmastasmāt kūpād udgataḥ| tasmāt kūpadhūmāt sūryyākāśau timirāvṛtau| (Abyssos )
Having a king over them, the agent of the abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in the Greek he has the name Apollyon. (Abyssos )
teṣāṁ rājā ca rasātalasya dūtastasya nāma ibrīyabhāṣayā abaddon yūnānīyabhāṣayā ca apalluyon arthato vināśaka iti| (Abyssos )
and swore by him who lives into the ages of the ages, who created the heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that time would be no more. (aiōn )
aparaṁ svargād yasya ravo mayāśrāvi sa puna rmāṁ sambhāvyāvadat tvaṁ gatvā samudramedinyostiṣṭhato dūtasya karāt taṁ vistīrṇa kṣudragranthaṁ gṛhāṇa, tena mayā dūtasamīpaṁ gatvā kathitaṁ grantho 'sau dīyatāṁ| (aiōn )
And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the abyss will make war with them, and he will overcome them and kill them. (Abyssos )
aparaṁ tayoḥ sākṣye samāpte sati rasātalād yenotthitavyaṁ sa paśustābhyāṁ saha yuddhvā tau jeṣyati haniṣyati ca| (Abyssos )
And the seventh agent sounded, and great voices occurred in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world has become of our Lord, and of his Christ, and he will reign into the ages of the ages. (aiōn )
anantaraṁ saptadūtena tūryyāṁ vāditāyāṁ svarga uccaiḥ svarairvāgiyaṁ kīrttitā, rājatvaṁ jagato yadyad rājyaṁ tadadhunābhavat| asmatprabhostadīyābhiṣiktasya tārakasya ca| tena cānantakālīyaṁ rājatvaṁ prakariṣyate|| (aiōn )
And I saw an agent flying in mid-heaven having eternal good news to proclaim to those who sit on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people, (aiōnios )
anantaram ākāśamadhyenoḍḍīyamāno 'para eko dūto mayā dṛṣṭaḥ so 'nantakālīyaṁ susaṁvādaṁ dhārayati sa ca susaṁvādaḥ sarvvajātīyān sarvvavaṁśīyān sarvvabhāṣāvādinaḥ sarvvadeśīyāṁśca pṛthivīnivāsinaḥ prati tena ghoṣitavyaḥ| (aiōnios )
And the smoke of their torment ascends into the ages of ages. And they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and its image, and if any man receives the mark of its name. (aiōn )
teṣāṁ yātanāyā dhūmo 'nantakālaṁ yāvad udgamiṣyati ye ca paśuṁ tasya pratimāñca pūjayanti tasya nāmno 'ṅkaṁ vā gṛhlanti te divāniśaṁ kañcana virāmaṁ na prāpsyanti| (aiōn )
And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven agents seven golden bowls containing the wrath of God who lives into the ages of the ages. (aiōn )
aparaṁ caturṇāṁ prāṇinām ekastebhyaḥ saptadūtebhyaḥ saptasuvarṇakaṁsān adadāt| (aiōn )
The beast that thou saw was, and is not, and is going to ascend out of the abyss and go into destruction. And those who dwell on the earth will wonder, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and will come. (Abyssos )
tvayā dṛṣṭo 'sau paśurāsīt nedānīṁ varttate kintu rasātalāt tenodetavyaṁ vināśaśca gantavyaḥ| tato yeṣāṁ nāmāni jagataḥ sṛṣṭikālam ārabhya jīvanapustake likhitāni na vidyante te pṛthivīnivāsino bhūtam avarttamānamupasthāsyantañca taṁ paśuṁ dṛṣṭvāścaryyaṁ maṁsyante| (Abyssos )
And a second time they said, Praise the Lord! And the smoke of her ascended into the ages of the ages. (aiōn )
punarapi tairidamuktaṁ yathā, brūta pareśvaraṁ dhanyaṁ yannityaṁ nityameva ca| tasyā dāhasya dhūmo 'sau diśamūrddhvamudeṣyati|| (aiōn )
And the beast was taken, and the false prophet with it who did the signs in its sight by which he led astray those who received the mark of the beast and those who worship its image. The two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with brimstone. (Limnē Pyr )

And I saw an agent coming down out of heaven having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos )
tataḥ paraṁ svargād avarohan eko dūto mayā dṛṣṭastasya kare ramātalasya kuñjikā mahāśṛṅkhalañcaikaṁ tiṣṭhataḥ| (Abyssos )
And he cast him into the abyss, and locked and sealed over him, so that he would no longer lead the nations astray until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be loosed for a little time. (Abyssos )
aparaṁ rasātale taṁ nikṣipya tadupari dvāraṁ ruddhvā mudrāṅkitavān yasmāt tad varṣasahasraṁ yāvat sampūrṇaṁ na bhavet tāvad bhinnajātīyāstena puna rna bhramitavyāḥ| tataḥ param alpakālārthaṁ tasya mocanena bhavitavyaṁ| (Abyssos )
And the devil who leads them astray was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where also were the beast and the false prophet. And they will be tormented day and night into the ages of the ages. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
teṣāṁ bhramayitā ca śayatāno vahnigandhakayo rhrade 'rthataḥ paśu rmithyābhaviṣyadvādī ca yatra tiṣṭhatastatraiva nikṣiptaḥ, tatrānantakālaṁ yāvat te divāniśaṁ yātanāṁ bhokṣyante| (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
And the sea gave up the dead in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead in them. And they were judged, each according to their works. (Hadēs )
tadānīṁ samudreṇa svāntarasthā mṛtajanāḥ samarpitāḥ, mṛtyuparalokābhyāmapi svāntarasthā mṛtajanāḥ sarmipatāḥ, teṣāñcaikaikasya svakriyānuyāyī vicāraḥ kṛtaḥ| (Hadēs )
And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr )
aparaṁ mṛtyuparalokau vahnihrade nikṣiptau, eṣa eva dvitīyo mṛtyuḥ| (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr )
And if any man was found not written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Limnē Pyr )
yasya kasyacit nāma jīvanapustake likhitaṁ nāvidyata sa eva tasmin vahnihrade nyakṣipyata| (Limnē Pyr )
But for the cowards, and unbelieving, and sinful, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Limnē Pyr )
kintu bhītānām aviśvāsināṁ ghṛṇyānāṁ narahantṛṇāṁ veśyāgāmināṁ mohakānāṁ devapūjakānāṁ sarvveṣām anṛtavādināñcāṁśo vahnigandhakajvalitahrade bhaviṣyati, eṣa eva dvitīyo mṛtyuḥ| (Limnē Pyr )
And there will be no night there, and they have no need of a lamp and the light of sun, because the Lord God will illuminate them. And they will reign into the ages of the ages. (aiōn )
tadānīṁ rātriḥ puna rna bhaviṣyati yataḥ prabhuḥ parameśvarastān dīpayiṣyati te cānantakālaṁ yāvad rājatvaṁ kariṣyante| (aiōn )
These men are waterless wells, and clouds driven by a fierce wind, for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved into an age. ()
