< Matthew 20 >

1 For the kingdom of the heavens is compared to a man, a house-ruler, who went out in the early morning at the same time to hire workmen for his vineyard.
“Ajeh chu Van Lenggam chu louneipa jingkah matah a, lengpi leiya natong ding tha hola gapotdoh tobang ahi.
2 And having agreed with the workmen for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
Aman niseh'a thaman jat apeh ding in akinop touvin, chuin natong ding in amaho chu asoldoh tai.”
3 And having gone out about the third hour, he saw others having stood idle in the marketplace.
“Jingkah nidan ko in kailhang ahopan ahileh, imacha bol louva moh'um mi phabep chu amun.
4 And he said to those men, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatever would be right I will give you, and they went.
Hiti chun aman amaho chu agoiyin, nisa lhum teng keiman phante kati kham na penau vinge, ati.
5 Again having gone out about the sixth and the ninth hour, he did likewise.
Chuin amaho natong ding in lengpi leiya ache tauve.”
6 And having gone out about the eleventh hour, he found others who have stood idle. And he says to them, Why have ye stood here idle the whole day?
“Ni lhangkai pung nga a ama khopi sunga aga umkit pet in, aman midang phabep amoh'um amun ahi. Aman, ‘Ipi dinga tunia natong lou nahi uvem?’” tin adonge.
7 They say to him, Because no man has hired us. He says to them, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatever would be right ye will receive.
“Amahon, ‘koima eigoiyuva aum loujeh ahi’ atiuve. Lou neipa chun aseipeh un, chuti ahile che-un chule ka lengpi leiya natongho lah'a ga jaovun ati.”
8 And having become evening, the lord of the vineyard says to his manager, Call the workmen, and render to them their wage, having begun from the last until the first.
“Chuche nilhah chun aman natong ho lamkaipa chu aseipeh in, natong jouse kou lut in chule natong nunung pena atoh manu pe pan in,” ati.
9 And those who came about the eleventh hour, each received a denarius.
Pung nga a kigoi ho chu sum apeh phat in, achang cheh un nikho thaman akimu cheh tauve.
10 But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more. And they also received a denarius each.
Akigoi masa ho chu asumu ladinga ahung phat'un, amaho chun tam mu cheh ding akinem uve. Hinlah amaho jong chu nikho thaman to kitoh aki peuvin ahi.
11 And when they received it, they murmured against the house-ruler,
Amahon atohman akimu phat'un, amaho alou neipa chunga alungnom tapouve.
12 saying, These last did one hour, and thou have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden of the day and the heat.
Khuchehon pung khat bou natong uva, keiho nilhum keiya nisa ahah laise thoh lhum keiho toh kibang'in amaho na peuve atiuvin ahi.
13 But having answered, he said to one of them, Friend, I do thee no wrong. Did thou not agree with me for a denarius?
“Aman amaho khat chu adonbut in, ‘Gol, keiman adihlou kabolpoi! Nangma nilhum keiya nikhotha man lo dinga nanop hilou ham?’”
14 Take thine and go. But I want to give to this last man, as to thee also.
Nasum kilah in chule chen, hiche natong nunung pen hi nanga tobang in kape nom e, ati.
15 Is it not permitted for me to do what I want with my own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
Kasum chu kadeina banga kaman ding chu dantoh akikalna ipi uma ham? Keiman midang kakhoto jeh'a nei mit thipna ding ipi umem?
16 So the last will be first, and the first last, for many are called, but few chosen.
“Hiti chu ahin, tua anunung peh ho chu chuphat teng amasapen hi dingu, chule amasa ho anunung hung hi ding ahiuve,” ati.
17 And while going up to Jerusalem, Jesus took the twelve disciples in private on the way, and he said to them,
Yeshua chu Jerusalem lama achetou in ahileh, aman seijui som le ni ho chu guhthim in achoma akou doh in chule achunga ipi hung soh ding thu aseipeh tai.
18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests and scholars. And they will condemn him to death,
Aman aseiyin, “Ngaiyun, eiho Jerusalem jon'in ichetou uve, chule thempu pipui hole houdan thuhil ho khut'a Mihem Chapa hi kipedoh ding ahi. Amahon thadinga apehdoh diu ahi.
19 and will deliver him to the Gentiles to ridicule, and to scourge, and to crucify. And the third day he will rise.
Amahon Rome sepai ho khut'a apehdoh diu, sakol jepna a avoh diu chule thingpel a akhetbeh diu ahi. Hinlah ni thum nileh thinaa kona thoudoh kit ding ahi,” ati.
20 Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, worshiping, and asking something from him.
Chua pat chun James le John Zebedee chapa teni Nu chu Yeshua koma achate nito ahung'un ahi. Aman jana neitah in adilsun lungsetna angeh e.
21 And he said to her, What do thou want? She says to him, Speak that these my two sons may sit, one at thy right hand and one at thy left hand in thy kingdom.
Aman adong in, “Ipi nathum nom ham?” ati. Amanun adonbut in, “Na Lenggama kachapa teni hi jabolna mun'a: khat najet lama chule khat navei lama koi gel in,” ahung tin ahi.
22 But having answered, Jesus said, Ye know not what ye are asking. Are ye able to drink the cup that I am going to drink, or to be immersed the immersion that I am immersed? They say to him, We are able.
Hinlah Yeshuan adonbut in ajah uva, “Ipi nathumu nanghon na kihet pouve! Keiman gimhesoh kathohna ding khon kadon ding chu nadon ngam hinam?” ati. Aman in, Henge, kangam lhon'e tin adonbut lhontai.
23 And he says to them, Ye will indeed drink my cup, and ye will be immersed the immersion that I am immersed. But to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but to whom it has been prepared by my Father.
Yeshuan ajah lhonna, “Nangnin tahbeh mongin kagimna khon hi nahin don lhon ding ahiye. Hinlah keiman koi kajet'a ahilouleh kaveiya toudi ham? Ti thuneina kaneipoi. Ka Pan alhendoh a agonpeh ho ding mun ahiye, tin aseipeh tai” ati.
24 And when the ten heard it, they were indignant about the two brothers.
James le John in ipi athum lhon ahi seijui adang som ho chun ajah doh phat'un alung gil uva nomo asalheh tauve.
25 But having summoned them, Jesus said, Ye know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord over them, and their eminent men have power over them.
Hinlah Yeshuan amaho chu akou khomin, chuin ajah uva, “Nanghon vannoi vaipipo hon midang chunga ki piput sahna aneijiu naheuve chule lamkai lenho chun anoiyuva ho chunga thuneina aneiyu naheuve.
26 But it shall not be so among you. Rather whoever wants to become great among you, he shall be your helper,
Hinlah nangho lah'a chutilou ding ahi. Nangho lah'a alamkai pipu hinoma chu nasoh uva pang ding ahi.
27 and whoever wants be first among you shall be your bondman.
Chule nalah uva amasa hinoma chu nasoh'u ahung hi angaiye.
28 Just as the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Ajeh chu Mihem Chapa jeng jong chu jenle dinga hilouva, ajen ding le mitamtah hinna dinga ahinna pedinga hunga ahi,” ati.
29 And when they went out from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
Chuin Yeshua le aseijuihon Jericho khopi chu adalhah nung uvin, mihon tamtah'in anung ahinjui uve.
30 And behold, two blind men sitting by the wayside, having heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Be merciful to us, Lord, thou son of David.
Mitcho mini chu lampi pama atou lhon'e. Amanin Yeshua chun hilampi chu ahinho ding ahi ti ajahlhon phat in, amanin hasap in asam lhon in, Pakai David Chapa, neikhoto lhon in! atilhon tai.
31 And the multitude rebuked them, so that they would be quiet, but they cried out greater, saying, Be merciful to us, Lord, thou son of David.
Mihonpi chun aphoh uvin, “Thip lhon in atiuvin.” Hinlah amanin aha-sapcheh lhon in, “Pakai, David Chapa, neikhoto lhon in,” atilhone.
32 And having stood still, Jesus called them and said, What do ye want that I would do to you?
Yeshuan a-aw lhon ajah phat in, ading'in chule akouvin, “Ipi kabolpeh lhon ding nei deisah lhon'em?” atitai.
33 They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
Amani chun, Pakai kho kamu nom lhon'e, ati lhon'e.
34 And having felt compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and straightaway they received their sight, and followed him.
Yeshuan amani chu akhohsah jal'in, amit lhon athampeh tai. Hipettah chun kho amuthei lhontai! Chujouvin amanin ajuipai lhontai.
