Mark 16
1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that having come, they might anoint him.
When the Sabbath was over, Mary of Magdala, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought some spices, so that they might go and anoint the body of Jesus.
2 And very much early morning on the first day of the week, they come near to the sepulcher when the sun was risen.
And very early on the first day of the week they went to the tomb, after sunrise.
3 And they said to themselves, Who will roll away the stone for us from the door of the sepulcher?
They were saying to one another: “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?”
4 And having looked, they see that the stone has been rolled back, for it was very large.
But, on looking up, they saw that the stone had already been rolled back; it was a very large one.
5 And having entered into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.
Going into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on their right, in a white robe, and they were dismayed; but he said to them:
6 And he says to them, Be not alarmed. Ye seek Jesus, the man of Nazareth who was crucified. He was raised. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him.
“Do not be dismayed; you are looking for Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified; he has risen, he is not here! Look! Here is the place where they laid him.
7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, that he goes before you into Galilee. Ye will see him there, just as he said to you.
But go, and say to his disciples and to Peter ‘He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you.’”
8 And having come out, they fled from the sepulcher, and trembling and astonishment seized them. And they said nothing to any man, for they were afraid.
They went out, and fled from the tomb, for they were trembling and bewildered; and they did not say a word to any one, for they were frightened;
9 (note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) Now having risen early morning on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.

10 That woman, having gone, informed those who became with him, as they mourned and wept.
She went and told the news to those who had been with him and who were now in sorrow and tears;
11 And those men, when they heard that he is alive, and was seen by her, did not believe.
yet even they, when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, did not believe it.
12 And after these things he appeared in a different form to two of them as they walked going into the countryside.
Afterwards, altered in appearance, he made himself known to two of them, as they were walking, on their way into the country.
13 And those men having departed, they reported to the others. Neither did they believe those men.
They also went and told the rest, but they did not believe even them.
14 Afterward he became visible to them, to the eleven, who were relaxing. And he upbraided their unbelief and hard heart, because they did not believe those who saw him after he was raised.
Later on, he made himself known to the Eleven themselves as they were at a meal, and reproached them with their want of faith and their stubbornness, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen from the dead.
15 And he said to them, Having gone into all the world, preach ye the good news to the whole creation.
Then he said to them: “Go into all the world, and proclaim the Good News to all creation.
16 He who believes and is immersed will be saved, but he who does not believe will be damned.
He who believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he who refuses to believe will be condemned.
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons. They will speak in new tongues.
Moreover these signs shall attend those who believe. In my Name they shall drive out demons; they shall speak with ‘tongues’;
18 They will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will, no, not harm them. They will lay hands on the feeble, and they will fare well.
they shall take up serpents in their hands; and, if they drink any poison, it shall not hurt them; they will place their hands on sick people and they shall recover.”
19 Therefore indeed, the Lord, after he spoke to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
So the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into Heaven, and sat at the right hand of God.
20 And those men, having gone forth, they preached everywhere, the Lord working jointly, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Truly.
But they set out, and made the proclamation everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the Message by the signs which attended it.
