Mark 10
1 And having risen from there, he comes into the borders of Judea through the other side of the Jordan. And multitudes come together to him again, and, as he has practiced, he taught them again.
ଯୀଶୁ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରି ଯିହୂଦିୟା ପ୍ରଦେଶର ସୀମା ଓ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀର ଅପର ପାରିକୁ ଆସିଲେ; ଆଉ ଲୋକସମୂହ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏକତ୍ର ହୁଅନ୍ତେ ସେ ନିଜ ରୀତି ଅନୁସାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁଣି, ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
2 And the Pharisees having approached, they demanded of him if it is permitted for a man to divorce a wife, testing him.
ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରି ପଚାରିଲେ, ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବା କଅଣ ପୁରୁଷ ପକ୍ଷରେ ନ୍ୟାୟସଙ୍ଗତ?
3 And having answered, he said to them, What did Moses command you?
ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୋଶା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି?”
4 And they said, Moses permitted to write a document of divorce, and to divorce her.
ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, ତ୍ୟାଗପତ୍ର ଲେଖି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୋଶା ଅନୁମତି ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି।
5 But having answered, Jesus said to them, For your hard heart he wrote for you this commandment.
ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟର କଠିନତା ଦେଖି ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଲେଖିଅଛନ୍ତି।
6 But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female.
କିନ୍ତୁ ସୃଷ୍ଟିର ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଈଶ୍ବର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କରି ସୃଷ୍ଟି କଲେ।
7 Because of this a man will leave his father and mother behind, and will be bonded with his wife,
ଏହି କାରଣରୁ ପୁରୁଷ ଆପଣା ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅଲଗା ହେବ, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଦୁହେଁ ଏକାଙ୍ଗ ହେବେ।
8 and the two will be in one flesh. So then they are no more two, but one flesh.
ଏଣୁ ସେମାନେ ଆଉ ଦୁଇ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏକାଙ୍ଗ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
9 What therefore God has joined together, no man shall separate.
ଅତଏବ, ଈଶ୍ବର ଯାହା ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ତାହା ଭିନ୍ନ ନ କରୁ।”
10 And in the house the disciples questioned him again about the same thing.
ପରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଘରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଏ ବିଷୟ ପୁନର୍ବାର ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
11 And he says to them, Whoever may divorce his wife, and will marry another, commits adultery against her.
ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯେ କେହି ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଅନ୍ୟକୁ ବିବାହ କରେ, ସେ ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରେ;
12 And if a woman should divorce her husband, and will be married to another, she commits adultery.
ଆଉ, ଯଦି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଅନ୍ୟକୁ ବିବାହ କରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରେ।”
13 And they brought children to him, so that he would touch them. And the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.
ଯୀଶୁ ଯେପରି ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଲୋକେ ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧମକ ଦେଲେ।
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was displeased, and said to them, Allow the children to come to me. Forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God.
ଯୀଶୁ ତାହା ଦେଖି ବିରକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୋʼ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବାକୁ ଦିଅ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନା କର ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର।
15 Truly I say to you, whoever will not receive the kingdom of God as a child, he will, no, not enter it.
ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେ କେହି ଶିଶୁ ପରି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଗ୍ରହଣ ନ କରେ, ସେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ସେଥିରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।”
16 And having embraced them, while laying his hands upon them, he blessed them.
ପୁଣି, ଯୀଶୁ ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ କୋଳରେ ଘେନି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହାତ ଥୋଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ।
17 And as he was going forth on the way, one man having ran to him, and having knelt to him, questioned him, Good teacher, what should I do that I may inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
ସେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଯାତ୍ରା ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ଜଣେ ଦୌଡ଼ିଆସି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଆଣ୍ଠୁପାତି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ହେ ସଦ୍ଗୁରୁ, ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନର ଅଧିକାରୀ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ କଅଣ କରିବି? (aiōnios g166)
18 And Jesus said to him, Why do thou call me good? None is good except one, God.
ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୋତେ ଉତ୍ତମ ବୋଲି କାହିଁକି କହୁଅଛ? ଜଣଙ୍କ ବିନା, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିନା ଅନ୍ୟ କେହି ଉତ୍ତମ ନୁହେଁ।
19 Thou know the commandments. Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not murder. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not testify falsely. Thou shall not defraud. Thou shall honor thy father and mother.
ଆଜ୍ଞାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣ, ‘ନରହତ୍ୟା କର ନାହିଁ, ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କର ନାହିଁ, ଚୋରି କର ନାହିଁ, ମିଥ୍ୟା ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ, ପ୍ରବଞ୍ଚନା କର ନାହିଁ, ଆପଣା ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ସମାଦର କର।’”
20 And having answered, he said to him, Teacher, all these things I have observed from my youth.
ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ମୁଁ ଯୌବନକାଳରୁ ପାଳନ କରି ଆସିଅଛି।
21 And having looked at him, Jesus loved him, and said to him, One thing thou lack. Go thou, sell as many things as thou have, and give to the poor, and thou will have treasure in heaven. And after taking up the cross, come, follow me.
ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଏକଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଚାହିଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ନେହ କଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗୋଟିଏ ବିଷୟ ଊଣା ଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଇ ଆପଣାର ସର୍ବସ୍ୱ ବିକ୍ରୟ କରି ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ କର, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ ଧନ ପାଇବ; ପୁଣି, ଆସି ମୋହର ଅନୁଗମନ କର।”
22 But having become somber at the saying, he went away sorrowing, for he was a man who has many possessions.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି କଥାରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ମଳିନ ହୋଇଗଲା ଓ ସେ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହୋଇ ଚାଲିଗଲେ, କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କର ବହୁତ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଥିଲା।
23 And Jesus having looked around, he says to his disciples, How difficultly those who have riches will enter into the kingdom of God.
ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିପାତ କରି ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ଧନ ଅଛି, ସେମାନେ କେଡ଼େ କଷ୍ଟରେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବେ!”
24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But again having answered, Jesus says to them, Children, how difficult it is for those who trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God.
ତାହାଙ୍କ କଥା ଶୁଣି ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ବିସ୍ମୟାନ୍ୱିତ ହେଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ବତ୍ସଗଣ, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା କେଡ଼େ କଷ୍ଟକର!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through the hole of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଧନୀ ଲୋକର ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ବରଂ ଛୁଞ୍ଚିର ଛିଦ୍ର ଦେଇ ଓଟର ଯିବାର ସହଜ।”
26 And they were exceedingly astonished, saying among themselves, Then who can be saved?
ଏଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଅତିଶୟ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟାନ୍ୱିତ ହୋଇ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ କହିଲେ, ତେବେ କିଏ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇ ପାରେ?
27 And having looked at them, Jesus says, With men, impossible, but not with God. For with God all things are possible.
ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଚାହିଁ କହିଲେ, “ଏହା ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅସାଧ୍ୟ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନୁହେଁ; କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମସ୍ତ ସାଧ୍ୟ।”
28 Peter began to say to him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
ପିତର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହୋଇଅଛୁ।
29 And having answered, Jesus said, Truly I say to you, there is no man who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, because of me, and because of the good news,
ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ମୋହର ଓ ସୁସମାଚାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୃହ କିମ୍ବା ଭାଇ କି ଭଉଣୀ କି ମାତା କି ପିତା କି ସନ୍ତାନସନ୍ତତି କି ଭୂମି ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛି,
31 But many first will be last, and the last first.
କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରଥମରେ ଥିବା ଅନେକ ଲୋକ ଶେଷରେ ପଡ଼ିବେ ଓ ଶେଷରେ ଥିବା ଅନେକ ଲୋକ ପ୍ରଥମ ହେବେ।”
32 And they were on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going ahead of them. And they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. And again having summoned the twelve, he began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.
ସେମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ପଥ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଥିଲେ ଓ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗେ ଆଗେ ଯାଉଥିଲେ, ଆଉ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ବିସ୍ମୟାନ୍ୱିତ ଓ ପଛରେ ଆସୁଥିବା ଲୋକେ ଭୀତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ। ଏଣୁ ସେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ବାର ଶିଷ୍ୟଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ତର କରି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଯାହା ଯାହା ଘଟିବାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ସେହିସବୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
33 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem. And the Son of man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scholars. And they will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles.
ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କରୁଅଛୁ; ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେବେ, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାଣ ଦଣ୍ଡାଦେଶ ଦେଇ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବେ,
34 And they will mock him, and will scourge, and will spit upon him, and will kill him. And the third day he will rise.
ପୁଣି, ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରିହାସ କରିବେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଛେପ ପକାଇବେ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କୋରଡ଼ା ମାରିବେ ଓ ବଧ କରିବେ, ଆଉ ତିନି ଦିନ ପରେ ସେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥିତ ହେବେ।”
35 And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come to him, saying, Teacher, we wish that thou would do for us whatever we ask.
ପରେ ଜେବଦୀଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ଯାକୁବ ଓ ଯୋହନ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁକୁ ଆସି କହିଲେ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛା ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଯାହା କିଛି ମାଗିବୁ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଆପଣ କରନ୍ତୁ।
36 And he said to them, What do ye want me to do for you?
ତହୁଁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କଅଣ କରିବି ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛ?”
37 And they said to him, Grant to us that we may sit, one at thy right hand, and one at thy left hand, in thy glory.
ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆପଣ ମହିମାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣକ ବାମ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ବସିବ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ବର ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ।
38 But Jesus said to them, Ye know not what ye are asking. Are ye able to drink the cup that I drink? And to be immersed the immersion that I am immersed?
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ମାଗୁଅଛ, ତାହା ଜାଣୁ ନାହଁ। ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ପାତ୍ରରେ ପାନ କରୁଅଛି, ସେଥିରେ କି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାନ କରିପାର? ଅବା ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହେଉଅଛି, ସେଥିରେ କି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହୋଇପାର?”
39 And they said to him, We are able. And Jesus said to them, Ye will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and the immersion that I am immersed ye will be immersed.
ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାରୁ। ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ପାତ୍ରରେ ପାନ କରୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଥିରେ ପାନ କରିବ, ପୁଣି, ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହେଉଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଥିରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହେବ;
40 But to sit at my right hand or at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared.
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋହର ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଅବା ବାମ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ବସିବାକୁ ଦେବା ମୋହର ଅଧିକାରର ବିଷୟ ନୁହେଁ, ବରଂ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରାଯାଇଅଛି, ସେମାନେ ବସିବେ।”
41 And when the ten heard it they began to indignant about James and John.
ଅନ୍ୟ ଦଶ ଜଣ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ଯାକୁବ ଓ ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବିରକ୍ତ ହେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
42 And having summoned them, Jesus says to them, Ye know that those who presume to rule over the Gentiles, lord over them, and their great men have power over them.
ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାଖକୁ ଡାକି କହିଲେ, “ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତା ରୂପେ ଗଣିତ, ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରଭୁତ୍ୱ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ମହାନ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରନ୍ତି, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ।
43 But it is not so among you. Instead, whoever may want to become great among you, will be your helper,
କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେପ୍ରକାର ନୁହେଁ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯେ କେହି ମହାନ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସେବକ ହେଉ,
44 and whoever of you may want to become first, will be a bondman of all.
ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯେ କେହି ପ୍ରଧାନ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ସେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ଦାସ ହେଉ।
45 For the Son of man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
କାରଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟ ସେବା ପାଇବାକୁ ଆସି ନାହାନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ସେବା କରିବାକୁ ଓ ଅନେକଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁକ୍ତିର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣ ଦେବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି।”
46 And they come to Jericho. And as he went out from Jericho, and his disciples and a considerable crowd, Bartimaeus, the blind son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road begging.
ପରେ ସେମାନେ ଯିରୀହୋରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟସମୂହ ଓ ବହୁସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଲୋକ ସହିତ ଯିରୀହୋରୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ଟୀମାୟର ପୁତ୍ର ବାର୍ଟୀମୟ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଅନ୍ଧ ଭିକ୍ଷୁକ ପଥ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ବସିଥିଲା।
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, thou son of David, be merciful to me.
ସେ ଯେ ନାଜରିତୀୟ ଯୀଶୁ, ଏହା ଶୁଣି ସେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା, ହେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ଯୀଶୁ, ମୋତେ ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ।
48 And many rebuked him, that he would be quiet, but he cried out much more, Thou son of David, be merciful to me.
ଏଥିରେ ଅନେକେ ତାହାକୁ ତୁନି ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଧମକ ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଆହୁରି ଅଧିକ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା, ହେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ, ମୋତେ ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ।
49 And having stood still, Jesus said for him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying to him, Cheer up. Arise, he calls thee.
ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ, “ତାହାକୁ ଡାକ।” ସେମାନେ ସେହି ଅନ୍ଧ ଲୋକଟିକୁ ଡାକି କହିଲେ, ସାହସ ଧର, ଉଠ, ସେ ତୁମକୁ ଡାକୁଅଛନ୍ତି।
50 And he, having thrown off his garment, having risen, came to Jesus.
ତହିଁରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଚାଦର ଫୋପାଡ଼ିଦେଇ ଉଠି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲା।
51 And having answered, Jesus says to him, What do thou want I would do to thee? And the blind man said to him, Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.
ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ କଅଣ କରିବି ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛ?” ସେହି ଅନ୍ଧ ଲୋକଟି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ମୁଁ ଯେପରି ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଏ।
52 And Jesus said to him, Go thou, thy faith has healed thee. And straightaway he received his sight, and followed him on the way.
ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯାଅ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିଅଛି।” ତତ୍କ୍ଷଣାତ୍ ସେ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଇ ପଥରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଚାଲିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା।
