Malachi 1
1 The burden of the word of Jehovah to Israel by Malachi.
ಒಂದು ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ: ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಮಲಾಕಿಯನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಬಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯ:
2 I have loved you, says Jehovah. Yet ye say, How have thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother, says Jehovah. Yet I loved Jacob,
“ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. “ನೀವಾದರೋ, ‘ಯಾವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೀರಿ. “ಏಸಾವನು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ ಅಣ್ಣನಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು. ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ.
3 but Esau I regarded inferior, and made his mountains a desolation, and gave his heritage to the jackals of the wilderness.
ಏಸಾವನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು. ಅವನ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡಿ, ಅವನ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಅಡವಿಯ ನರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು.”
4 Whereas Edom says, We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places, thus says Jehovah of hosts: They shall build, but I will throw down, and men shall call them the border of wickedness, and the people against whom Jehovah has indignation forever.
ಎದೋಮ್ಯರು, “ನಾವು ಬಡಕಲಾದೆವು, ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಮತ್ತೆ ಹಾಳಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆವು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬಹುದು. ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, “ಅವರು ಕಟ್ಟಬಹುದು, ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುವೆನು. ಜನರು ಅವರನ್ನು ದುಷ್ಟತನದ ನಾಡೆಂದೂ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸಿಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡುವ ಜನವೆಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುವರು.
5 And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, Jehovah be magnified beyond the border of Israel.
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಂದ ನೋಡಿ, ‘ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇರೆ ಆಚೆಗೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮಹೋನ್ನತರು!’ ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವಿರಿ.”
6 A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is my fear? says Jehovah of hosts to you, O priests, who despise my name. And ye say, How have we despised thy name?
“ಮಗನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ, ದಾಸನು ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನೂ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸನ್ಮಾನವೆಲ್ಲಿ? ನಾನು ಯಜಮಾನನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯೆಲ್ಲಿ?” “ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಯಾಜಕರು ನೀವೇ ಎಂದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. “ಆದರೆ ನೀವು, ‘ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಯಾವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೀರಿ.”
7 Ye offer polluted bread upon my altar. And ye say, How have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of Jehovah is contemptible.
“ನನ್ನ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ. “‘ಯಾವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೀರಿ.” ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮೇಜು ಹೀನವಾದದ್ದೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವುದರಿಂದಲೇ!
8 And when ye offer the blind for sacrifice, ye say, It is no evil! and when ye offer the lame and sick, It is no evil! Present it now to thy governor. Will he be pleased with thee, or will he accept thy person? says Jehovah of hosts.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಕುರುಡಾದ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಿಗಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅದು ದೋಷವಲ್ಲವೋ? ಕುಂಟಾದ ಮತ್ತು ರೋಗವುಳ್ಳ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅದು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಲ್ಲವೋ? “ಅದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸು, ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವನೋ? ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವನೋ?” ಎಂದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
9 Ye say, And now, I pray you, entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us; this has been by your means. Will he accept any of your persons? says Jehovah of hosts.
“ಈಗ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಅಂಥ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವರೋ?” ಎಂದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
10 Oh that there was among you who would shut the doors, that ye might not kindle my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, says Jehovah of hosts, nor will I accept an offering at your hand.
“ನನ್ನ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ, ಬಾಗಿಲು ಮುಚ್ಚುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
11 For from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same, my name is great among the Gentiles. And in every place incense is offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name is great among the Gentiles, says Jehovah of hosts.
ಸೂರ್ಯೋದಯವು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಅಸ್ತಮಾನದವರೆಗೂ, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಘನವಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಧೂಪವೂ, ಶುದ್ಧ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಇತರ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಘನವಾಗಿರುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
12 But ye profane it, in that ye say, The table of Jehovah is polluted. And the fruit of it, even its food, is contemptible.
“ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮೇಜು ಅಶುದ್ಧ, ‘ಅದರ ಫಲವೂ, ಅದರ ಆಹಾರವೂ ಅಸಹ್ಯ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
13 Ye also say, Behold, what a weariness it is! And ye have sniffed at it, says Jehovah of hosts. And ye have brought that which was taken by violence, and the lame, and the sick. Thus ye bring the offering. Should I accept this at your hand? says Jehovah.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು, ‘ಎಂಥಾ ಭಾರ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಊದಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. “ಗಾಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ, ಕುಂಟಾದ ರೋಗವುಳ್ಳ ಪಶುವನ್ನೂ ನನಗೆ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ. ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಬಹುದೋ?” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
14 But cursed be the deceiver, who has in his flock a male, and vows, and sacrifices to the Lord a blemished thing. For I am a great King, says Jehovah of hosts, and my name is feared among the Gentiles.
“ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೋಷವಿಲ್ಲದ ಗಂಡು ಪಶು ಇರಲಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ದೋಷವುಳ್ಳದ್ದನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಮೋಸಗಾರನಿಗೆ ಶಾಪ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಹಾ ಅರಸನು, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಇತರ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿರಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
