Luke 1
1 Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to arrange in order a narration about the deeds that have been brought to fullness among us,
൧ബഹുമാന്യനായ തെയോഫിലോസേ, നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിറവേറിയ കാര്യങ്ങളെ വിവരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ചരിത്രം എഴുതാൻ പലരും ശ്രമിച്ചു വരുന്നു.
2 just as they delivered them to us, who became from the beginning eyewitnesses and servants of the word,
൨ആദിമുതലുള്ള ദൃക് സാക്ഷികളും വചനത്തിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷകരുമായവർ ഇതു നമ്മെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
3 it occurred to me also, having followed closely from the beginning all things accurately, to write to thee in order, eminent Theophilus,
൩അതുകൊണ്ട് നിനക്ക് ഉപദേശം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വിവരങ്ങളുടെ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യം നീ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്,
4 so that thou might know the certainty of the declarations about which thou were instructed.
൪അത് ക്രമമായി എഴുതുന്നത് നല്ലതാണെന്ന് ആദിമുതൽ സകലവും സൂക്ഷ്മമായി പരിശോധിച്ചിട്ട് എനിക്കും തോന്നിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
5 It came to pass in the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a certain priest, named Zacharias, from the division of Abijah, and his wife was from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
൫യെഹൂദ്യരാജാവായ ഹെരോദാവിന്റെ ഭരണകാലത്ത് അബീയാവിന്റെ പൗരോഹിത്യ ഗണത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന സെഖര്യാവ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു പുരോഹിതൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രിമാരിൽ ഒരുവൾ ആയിരുന്നു; അവൾക്ക് എലിസബെത്ത് എന്നു പേർ.
6 And they were both righteous before God, going in all the commandments and righteous things of the Lord blameless.
൬ഇരുവരും ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ നീതിയുള്ളവരും കർത്താവിന്റെ സകല കല്പനകളും ന്യായങ്ങളും അനുസരിക്കുന്നവരും ആയിരുന്നു.
7 And there was no child to them because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in their days.
൭എലിസബെത്ത് വന്ധ്യയായിരുന്നതു കൊണ്ട് അവർക്ക് മക്കൾ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു; ഇരുവരും വൃദ്ധരും ആയിരുന്നു.
8 But it came to pass during his service as a priest in the course of his division in the presence of God,
൮സെഖര്യാവ് തന്റെ ഗണത്തിന്റെ ക്രമം അനുസരിച്ച് ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ പുരോഹിതനായി ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തുവരുമ്പോൾ:
9 that, according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to burn incense after entering into the temple of the Lord.
൯പൗരോഹിത്യമര്യാദപ്രകാരം കർത്താവിന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ചെന്ന് ധൂപം കാട്ടുവാൻ അവനെ നറുക്കെടുപ്പിലൂടെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.
10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense.
൧൦അവൻ ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്ന സമയത്ത് ജനസമൂഹം ഒക്കെയും പുറത്തു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
11 And an agent of the Lord became visible to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
൧൧അപ്പോൾ കർത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതൻ ധൂപപീഠത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്ത് നില്ക്കുന്നവനായിട്ട് അവന് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.
12 And Zacharias having seen, was shaken, and fear fell upon him.
൧൨സെഖര്യാവ് അവനെ കണ്ട് പരിഭ്രമിച്ചു.
13 But the agent said to him, Fear not, Zacharias, because thy plea was heard, and thy wife Elizabeth will bear a son for thee. And thou shall call his name John.
൧൩ദൂതൻ അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: സെഖര്യാവേ, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയ്ക്ക് ഉത്തരം ലഭിച്ചു: നിന്റെ ഭാര്യ എലിസബെത്ത് നിനക്ക് ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും; അവന് യോഹന്നാൻ എന്നു പേർ ഇടേണം.
14 And there will be joy and exultation for thee, and many will rejoice at his birth.
൧൪നിനക്ക് സന്തോഷവും ഉല്ലാസവും ഉണ്ടാകും; അവന്റെ ജനനം പലർക്കും സന്തോഷം ഉളവാക്കും.
15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he should, no, not drink wine and strong drink. And he will be filled of the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's belly.
൧൫അവൻ കർത്താവിന് വേണ്ടി വലിയ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യും; വീഞ്ഞും മദ്യവും കുടിക്കുകയില്ല; അമ്മയുടെ ഗർഭത്തിൽവച്ച് തന്നേ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു നിറയും.
16 And he will turn back many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God.
൧൬അവൻ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളിൽ പലരെയും അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവിലേക്ക് മടക്കിവരുത്തും.
17 And he will go ahead, in front of him, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn back the hearts of fathers toward children, and the disobedient in a mentality of the righteous, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.
൧൭അവൻ കർത്താവിന് മുമ്പായി ഏലിയാവിന്റെ ആത്മാവോടും ശക്തിയോടുംകൂടെ നടക്കും; അവൻ മാതാപിതാക്കളും മക്കളും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം പുന: സ്ഥാപിക്കും; അവൻ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവരെ നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ വിവേകത്തിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവരും; അങ്ങനെ ഒരുക്കമുള്ള ഒരു ജനത്തെ കർത്താവിനുവേണ്ടി തയ്യാറാക്കും.
18 And Zacharias said to the agent, How will I know this? For I am aged, and my wife is advanced in her days.
൧൮സെഖര്യാവ് ദൂതനോട്; ഇവ സംഭവിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ എങ്ങനെ അറിയും? ഞാൻ വൃദ്ധനും എന്റെ ഭാര്യ വയസ്സുചെന്നവളുമല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
19 And having answered, the agent said to him, I am Gabriel who stand in the presence of God. And I was sent to speak to thee, and to announce these good news to thee.
൧൯ദൂതൻ അവനോട്: ഞാൻ ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ നില്ക്കുന്ന ഗബ്രിയേൽ ആകുന്നു; നിന്നോട് സംസാരിപ്പാനും ഈ സദ്വർത്തമാനം നിന്നോട് അറിയിക്കുവാനും എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 And behold, thou will be mute, and not able to speak until that day these things will come to pass, because thou did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.
൨൦തക്കസമയത്ത് സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ള എന്റെ ഈ വാക്ക് വിശ്വസിക്കാഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ട് അത് സംഭവിക്കും വരെ നീ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ കഴിയാതെ മൗനമായിരിക്കും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
21 And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and they wondered during his delay in the temple.
൨൧ജനം സെഖര്യാവിനായി കാത്തിരുന്നു, അവൻ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുറത്തുവരാൻ താമസിച്ചതിനാൽ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.
22 And when he came out, he could not speak to them, and they recognized that he had seen a vision in the temple. And he was beckoning to them, and remained speechless.
൨൨അവൻ പുറത്തു വന്നപ്പോൾ അവരോട് സംസാരിപ്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അതിനാൽ അവൻ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ഒരു ദർശനം കണ്ട് എന്നു അവർ അറിഞ്ഞ്; അവൻ അവരോട് ആം‌ഗ്യഭാഷയിൽ സംസാരിച്ചു ഊമനായി പാർത്തു.
23 And it came to pass, when the days of his service were fulfilled, he departed to his house.
൨൩അവന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷാകാലം പൂർത്തിയായപ്പോൾ അവൻ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
24 And after these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and she concealed herself five months, saying,
൨൪ആ നാളുകൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ എലിസബെത്ത് ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു:
25 Thus the Lord has done to me during the days in which he looked, to take away my shame among men.
൨൫മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽ എനിക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്ന നിന്ദ നീക്കുവാൻ കർത്താവിന് എന്നോട് ദയ തോന്നിയ നാളിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ എനിക്ക് ചെയ്തുതന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അഞ്ച് മാസം ഒളിച്ചു പാർത്തു.
26 Now in the sixth month the agent Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
൨൬എലിസബെത്ത് ഗർഭിണിയായി ആറ് മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ദൈവം ഗബ്രിയേൽദൂതനെ ഗലീലയിലെ നസറെത്ത് എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലേക്ക് അയച്ചു.
27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary.
൨൭അവിടെ ദാവീദിന്റെ പിന്തുടർച്ചക്കാരനായ യോസഫ് എന്നൊരു പുരുഷന് വിവാഹം നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്ന കന്യകയുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു; ആ കന്യകയുടെ പേർ മറിയ എന്ന് ആയിരുന്നു.
28 And the agent having come in near her, he said, Hail, thou who are highly favored. The Lord is with thee, thou who are blessed among women.
൨൮ദൂതൻ അവളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അകത്ത് ചെന്ന്: കൃപ ലഭിച്ചവളേ, നിനക്ക് വന്ദനം; കർത്താവ് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ട് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
29 But having seen, she was perplexed at his saying, and was pondering what kind of greeting this might be.
൨൯അവൾ ആ വാക്ക് കേട്ട് ഭയപരവശയായി. ഇതു എന്തിനാണ് തന്നോട് പറയുന്നത് എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചു.
30 And the agent said to her, Fear not, Mary, for thou have found favor with God.
൩൦ദൂതൻ അവളോട്: മറിയയേ, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിനക്ക് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൃപ ലഭിച്ചു.
31 And behold, thou will conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son. And thou shall call his name JESUS.
൩൧നീ ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും; അവന് യേശു എന്നു പേർ വിളിക്കണം.
32 This man will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David.
൩൨അവൻ വലിയവൻ ആകും; അത്യുന്നതന്റെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും; കർത്താവായ ദൈവം അവന്റെ പിതാവായ ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനം അവന് കൊടുക്കും
33 And he will reign over the house of Jacob into the ages. And of his kingdom there will be no end. (aiōn g165)
൩൩അവൻ യാക്കോബിന്റെ സന്തതി പരമ്പരകൾക്ക് എന്നേക്കും രാജാവായിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിന് അവസാനം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. (aiōn g165)
34 And Mary said to the agent, How will this be, since I know not a man?
൩൪മറിയ ദൂതനോട്: ഞാൻ കന്യക ആയതിനാൽ ഇതു എങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
35 And having answered, the agent said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon thee, and the power of the Most High will overshadow thee. Therefore also the holy thing that is begotten will be called the Son of God.
൩൫അതിന് ദൂതൻ: പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവ് നിന്റെമേൽ വരും; അത്യുന്നതന്റെ ശക്തിയാൽ അത് സംഭവിക്കും; ആകയാൽ ഉത്ഭവിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധശിശു ദൈവപുത്രൻ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും.
36 And behold, Elizabeth thy kinswoman, she also has conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.
൩൬നിന്റെ ബന്ധുവായ എലിസബെത്ത് വൃദ്ധയായിരുന്നിട്ടും ഒരു മകനെ ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; വന്ധ്യ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുവന്നവൾക്ക് ഇതു ആറാം മാസം.
37 For no word from God will be impossible.
൩൭ദൈവത്തിന് ഒരു കാര്യവും അസാദ്ധ്യമല്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
38 And Mary said, Behold the maid-servant of the Lord. May it happen to me according to thy word. And the agent departed from her.
൩൮അതിന് മറിയ: ഇതാ, ഞാൻ കർത്താവിന്റെ ദാസി; അതുകൊണ്ട് നീ പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങൾ എനിക്ക് സംഭവിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ദൂതൻ അവളെ വിട്ടുപോയി.
39 And having risen in these days, Mary went with haste into the hill country, into a city of Judah,
൩൯കുറച്ച് ദിവസങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം മറിയ വളരെ വേഗം മലനാട്ടിൽ ഒരു യെഹൂദ്യപട്ടണത്തിൽ ചെന്ന്,
40 and entered into the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth.
൪൦അവിടെ സെഖര്യാവിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ എത്തി എലിസബെത്തിനെ വന്ദനം ചെയ്തു.
41 And it came to pass, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her belly. And Elizabeth was filled of the Holy Spirit,
൪൧മറിയയുടെ വന്ദനം എലിസബെത്ത് കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ശിശു അവളുടെ ഗർഭത്തിൽ തുള്ളി; എലിസബെത്ത് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവ് നിറഞ്ഞു,
42 and she exclaimed in a great voice, and said, Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy belly.
൪൨ഇപ്രകാരം ഉച്ചത്തിൽ വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു: സകല സ്ത്രീകളിലും നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളാണ്; നിന്റെ ഗർഭത്തിലുള്ള ശിശുവും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടതാണ്.
43 And why is this to me, that the mother of my Lord would come to me?
൪൩എന്റെ കർത്താവിന്റെ മാതാവ് എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാനുള്ള ഭാഗ്യം എനിക്ക് എവിടെ നിന്നു ഉണ്ടായി.
44 For lo, when the voice of thy greeting happened in my ears, the babe leaped with joy in my belly.
൪൪നിന്റെ വന്ദനസ്വരം ഞാൻ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ശിശു എന്റെ ഗർഭത്തിൽ ആനന്ദംകൊണ്ട് തുള്ളി.
45 And blessed is she who believed, because there will be a fulfillment of the things that were spoken to her from the Lord.
൪൫കർത്താവ് തന്നോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത കാര്യങ്ങൾ സംഭവിക്കും എന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചവൾ ഭാഗ്യവതി.
46 And Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord,
൪൬അപ്പോൾ മറിയ പറഞ്ഞത്: “എന്റെ ഉള്ളം കർത്താവിനെ മഹിമപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു;
47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
൪൭എന്റെ ആത്മാവ് എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.
48 because he has looked upon the lowliness of his bondmaid. For behold, from henceforth all generations will regard me blessed,
൪൮അവൻ തന്റെ ദാസിയുടെ താഴ്ചയെ അംഗീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇന്നുമുതൽ എല്ലാ തലമുറകളും എന്നെ ഭാഗ്യവതി എന്നു വാഴ്ത്തും.
49 because the Mighty has done great things to me. And his name is holy.
൪൯സർവ്വശക്തൻ എനിക്ക് വലിയ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാമം പരിശുദ്ധം ആകുന്നു.
50 And his mercy is for generations of generations to those who fear him.
൫൦അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നവർക്ക് അവന്റെ കരുണ തലമുറതലമുറയോളം ലഭിക്കുന്നു.
51 He did a mighty work by his arm. He scattered the proud in the mentality of their heart.
൫൧അവൻ തന്റെ കയ്യാൽ ശക്തമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തു. തങ്ങളുടെ ചിന്തകളിൽ അഹങ്കരിക്കുന്നവരെ ചിതറിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
52 He brought down potentates from thrones, and raised up lowly men.
൫൨പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ അവരുടെ സിംഹാസനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു ഇറക്കി വിനീതരെ ഉയർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
53 He filled those who are hungry with good things, and those who are rich he sent away empty.
൫൩വിശന്നിരിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ആവശ്യമായ ആഹാരം നൽകി, സമ്പന്നന്മാരെ വെറുതെ അയച്ചു.
54 He helped his boy Israel to be reminded of mercy,
൫൪തന്റെ ദാസനായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ സഹായിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു,
൫൫നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അബ്രാഹാമിനും അവന്റെ സന്തതിയ്ക്കും എന്നേക്കും കരുണ ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിനു”. (aiōn g165)
56 And Mary dwelt with her about three months, and returned to her house.
൫൬മറിയ ഏകദേശം മൂന്നുമാസം എലിസബെത്തിനോട് കൂടെ താമസിച്ചിട്ട് വീട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
57 Now the time for Elizabeth was fulfilled for her to give birth, and she brought forth a son.
൫൭എലിസബെത്തിന് പ്രസവിപ്പാനുള്ള സമയം തികഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവൾ ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു;
58 And her neighbors and her kinfolk heard that the Lord magnified his mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her.
൫൮കർത്താവ് അവൾക്ക് വലിയ കരുണ കാണിച്ചു എന്നു അയൽക്കാരും ബന്ധുക്കളും കേട്ടിട്ട് അവളോടുകൂടെ സന്തോഷിച്ചു.
59 And it came to pass on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child, and they were calling it by the name of his father Zacharias.
൫൯എട്ടാം നാളിൽ അവർ പൈതലിനെ പരിച്ഛേദന ചെയ്‌വാൻ കൊണ്ട് വന്നു; യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പാരമ്പര്യം അനുസരിച്ചു അപ്പന്റെ പേർപോലെ അവന് സെഖര്യാവ് എന്നു പേർ വിളിക്കുവാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു.
60 And his mother having answered, said, No, but he will be called John.
൬൦അവന്റെ അമ്മയോ: അല്ല, അവന് യോഹന്നാൻ എന്നു പേരിടേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
61 And they said to her, There is no man among thy relatives who is called by this name.
൬൧അവർ അവളോട്: നിന്റെ ബന്ധുക്കൾക്ക് ആർക്കും ആ പേര് ഇല്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
62 And they made signs to his father, whatever he wanted to call him.
൬൨പിന്നെ അവന് എന്ത് പേരിടാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അപ്പനോട് ആംഗ്യം കാട്ടി ചോദിച്ചു.
63 And having asked for a writing tablet, he wrote, saying, His name is John. And they all marveled.
൬൩അവൻ ഒരു എഴുത്തു പലക ചോദിച്ചു: അവന്റെ പേർ യോഹന്നാൻ എന്നു എഴുതി; എല്ലാവരും ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.
64 And immediately his mouth was opened, and his tongue, and he spoke, praising God.
൬൪ഉടനെ അവന്റെ സംസാരശേഷി തിരികെ ലഭിച്ചു, അവൻ സംസാരിച്ചു ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിച്ചു.
65 And fear developed in all who dwell around them. And all these sayings were talked about in the entire hill country of Judea.
൬൫അയൽക്കാർക്കെല്ലാം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശക്തിയെക്കുറിച്ച് ഭയവും ആശ്ചര്യവും ഉണ്ടായി; യെഹൂദ്യമലനാട്ടിൽ എങ്ങും ഈ വാർത്ത ഒക്കെയും പ്രസിദ്ധമായി
66 And all who heard stored up in their heart, saying, What then will this child be? For the hand of the Lord was with him.
൬൬കേട്ടവർ എല്ലാവരും അവിടെ സംഭവിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ചിന്തിച്ചു: ഈ പൈതൽ ആരാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കർത്താവിന്റെ ശക്തി അവനോട് കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
67 And his father Zacharias was filled of the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying,
൬൭അവന്റെ പിതാവായ സെഖര്യാവ് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിൽ നിറഞ്ഞ് ഇപ്രകാരം പ്രവചിച്ചു:
68 Blessed is the Lord, the God of Israel, because he came to help, and made ransom for his people.
൬൮“യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവ് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. അവൻ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ സന്ദർശിച്ചു അവരെ സ്വതന്ത്രരാക്കും.
69 And he raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his boy David,
൬൯അവൻ ശക്തനായ രക്ഷകനെ തന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതി പരമ്പരകളിൽ നിന്നു നമുക്ക് നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു
൭൦ആദിമുതൽ തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപ്രവാചകന്മാരിലൂടെ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ. (aiōn g165)
71 salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us,
൭൧അവൻ നമ്മെ നമ്മുടെ ശത്രുക്കളിൽ നിന്നും, നമ്മെ വെറുക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും, രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
72 to do mercy with our fathers, and his holy covenant to be remembered,
൭൨അങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോട് കരുണ കാണിക്കുകയും, അവരോട് ചെയ്ത വിശുദ്ധ ഉടമ്പടി നിറവേറ്റുകയും ചെയ്തു.
73 the oath that he swore to Abraham our father, to give to us,
൭൩നമ്മുടെ പൂർവ്വപിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാമിനോട് സത്യം ചെയ്തതാണു ഈ ഉടമ്പടി.
74 without fear from the hand of our enemies, having been saved to serve him
൭൪നമ്മെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിക്കുവാനും നമ്മുടെ ആയുഷ്ക്കാലം മുഴുവനും ഭയംകൂടാതെ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ
75 in piety and righteousness before him all the days of our life.
൭൫വിശുദ്ധിയോടും നീതിയോടും കൂടെ അവനെ സേവിക്കുവാൻ നമുക്കു കൃപ നൽകും എന്നായിരുന്നു ആ ഉടമ്പടി.
76 And thou, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High. For thou will go ahead, before the face of the Lord, to prepare his ways,
൭൬നീയോ പൈതലേ, അത്യുന്നതന്റെ പ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും. എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാൽ കർത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ഒരുക്കുവാനും
77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the remission of their sins,
൭൭നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആർദ്രകരുണയാൽ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന് പാപമോചനം ലഭിക്കുമെന്ന് അറിയിക്കാനുമായി നീ അവന് മുമ്പായി നടക്കും.
78 because of the bowels of mercy of our God, by which the dayspring from on high came to help us,
൭൮സത്യം അറിയാതിരിക്കുന്നവരുടെയും മരണത്തിന്റെ ഭീതിയിൽ കഴിയുന്നവരുടെയും മേൽ പ്രകാശിച്ച്, അവരെ സമാധാനമാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നടത്തേണ്ടതിന്
79 to give light to those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into a way of peace.
൭൯ആ ആർദ്രകരുണയാൽ ഉദയസൂര്യനെ പോലെയുള്ള രക്ഷകൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു നമ്മെ സന്ദർശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു”.
80 And the child grew, and became strong in spirit. And he was in the desolate regions until the day of his manifestation to Israel.
൮൦പൈതൽ വളർന്ന് ആത്മാവിൽ ബലപ്പെട്ടു; അവൻ യിസ്രായേൽ ജനങ്ങളുടെ മുൻപിൽ തന്റെ പരസ്യശുശ്രൂഷ തുടങ്ങുന്ന നാൾവരെയും മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.
