Leviticus 12
1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
E falou o SENHOR a Moisés, dizendo:
2 Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, If a woman conceives seed, and bears a man-child, then she shall be unclean seven days, as in the days of the impurity of her sickness she shall be unclean.
Fala aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: A mulher quando conceber e der à luz macho, será impura sete dias; conforme os dias que está separada por sua menstruação, será impura.
3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
E ao oitavo dia circuncidará a carne de seu prepúcio.
4 And she shall continue in the blood of her purifying thirty-three days. She shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.
Mas ela permanecerá trinta e três dias no sangue de sua purificação: nenhuma coisa santa tocará, nem virá ao santuário, até que sejam cumpridos os dias de sua purificação.
5 But if she bears a maid-child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her impurity, and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying sixty-six days.
E se der à luz fêmea será impura duas semanas, conforme sua separação, e sessenta e seis dias estará purificando-se de seu sangue.
6 And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb a year old for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a sin offering, to the door of the tent of meeting, to the priest.
E quando os dias de sua purificação forem cumpridos, por filho ou por filha, trará um cordeiro de ano para holocausto, e um pombinho ou uma rolinha para expiação, à porta do tabernáculo do testemunho, ao sacerdote:
7 And he shall offer it before Jehovah, and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. This is the law for her who bears, whether a male or a female.
E ele oferecerá diante do SENHOR, e fará expiação por ela, e será limpa do fluxo de seu sangue. Esta é a lei da que der à luz macho ou fêmea.
8 And if her means are not sufficient for a lamb, then she shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, the one for a burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering. And the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
E se não alcançar sua mão o suficiente para um cordeiro, tomará então duas rolinhas ou dois pombinhos, um para holocausto, e outro para expiação: e o sacerdote fará expiação por ela, e será limpa.
