1 Jude, a bondman of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to the called, sanctified in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ:
yIzukhrISTasya dAso yAkUbo bhrAtA yihUdAstAtenezvareNa pavitrIkRtAn yIzukhrISTena rakSitAMzcAhUtAn lokAn prati patraM likhati|
2 Mercy to you and peace and love be multiplied.
kRpA zAntiH prema ca bAhulyarUpeNa yuSmAsvadhitiSThatu|
3 Beloved, making all diligence to write to you about the common salvation, I had need to write to you exhorting you to earnestly contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the sanctified.
he priyAH, sAdhAraNaparitrANamadhi yuSmAn prati lekhituM mama bahuyatne jAte pUrvvakAle pavitralokeSu samarpito yo dharmmastadarthaM yUyaM prANavyayenApi saceSTA bhavateti vinayArthaM yuSmAn prati patralekhanamAvazyakam amanye|
4 For certain men have sneaked in, those written about formerly for this condemnation, irreverent men, perverting the grace of our God into licentiousness, and denying our only Master God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
yasmAd etadrUpadaNDaprAptaye pUrvvaM likhitAH kecijjanA asmAn upasRptavantaH, te 'dhArmmikalokA asmAkam IzvarasyAnugrahaM dhvajIkRtya lampaTatAm Acaranti, advitIyo 'dhipati ryo 'smAkaM prabhu ryIzukhrISTastaM nAGgIkurvvanti|
5 Now I want to remind you, ye having known this once, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
tasmAd yUyaM purA yad avagatAstat puna ryuSmAn smArayitum icchAmi, phalataH prabhurekakRtvaH svaprajA misaradezAd udadhAra yat tataH param avizvAsino vyanAzayat|
6 And the agents who did not keep their own principality, but left their own habitation, he has kept reserved in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day. (aïdios )
ye ca svargadUtAH svIyakartRtvapade na sthitvA svavAsasthAnaM parityaktavantastAn sa mahAdinasya vicArArtham andhakAramaye 'dhaHsthAne sadAsthAyibhi rbandhanairabadhnAt| (aïdios )
7 As Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, the same kind of way with these who indulged in fornication, and who went rear of queer flesh, are set forth an example, undergoing the punishment of eternal fire. (aiōnios )
aparaM sidomam amorA tannikaTasthanagarANi caiteSAM nivAsinastatsamarUpaM vyabhicAraM kRtavanto viSamamaithunasya ceSTayA vipathaM gatavantazca tasmAt tAnyapi dRSTAntasvarUpANi bhUtvA sadAtanavahninA daNDaM bhuJjate| (aiōnios )
8 Nevertheless in the same way also these men who dream, indeed defile flesh, and reject lordship, and speak evil of dignities.
tathaiveme svapnAcAriNo'pi svazarIrANi kalaGkayanti rAjAdhInatAM na svIkurvvantyuccapadasthAn nindanti ca|
9 But Michael the arch-agent, when he disputed with the devil, contending about the body of Moses, dared not bring a railing judgment, but said, May the Lord rebuke thee.
kintu pradhAnadivyadUto mIkhAyelo yadA mUsaso dehe zayatAnena vivadamAnaH samabhASata tadA tisman nindArUpaM daNDaM samarpayituM sAhasaM na kRtvAkathayat prabhustvAM bhartsayatAM|
10 But these men indeed revile whatever they have not seen. But whatever they understand naturally, as the irrational beasts, in these things they are corrupted.
kintvime yanna budhyante tannindanti yacca nirbbodhapazava ivendriyairavagacchanti tena nazyanti|
11 Woe to them! Because they went in the way of Cain, and rushed to the error of Balaam's reward, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
tAn dhik, te kAbilo mArge caranti pAritoSikasyAzAto biliyamo bhrAntimanudhAvanti korahasya durmmukhatvena vinazyanti ca|
12 These are reefs in your love-feasts, feasting together, fearlessly tending to themselves, waterless clouds carried along by winds, autumn trees without fruit, who died twice having being uprooted,
yuSmAkaM premabhojyeSu te vighnajanakA bhavanti, Atmambharayazca bhUtvA nirlajjayA yuSmAbhiH sArddhaM bhuJjate| te vAyubhizcAlitA nistoyameghA hemantakAlikA niSphalA dvi rmRtA unmUlitA vRkSAH,
13 wild waves of the sea foaming out their own shame, wandering stars for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved into an age. (aiōn )
svakIyalajjApheNodvamakAH pracaNDAH sAmudrataraGgAH sadAkAlaM yAvat ghoratimirabhAgIni bhramaNakArINi nakSatrANi ca bhavanti| (aiōn )
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men, saying, Behold, the Lord came with his holy myriads,
AdamataH saptamaH puruSo yo hanokaH sa tAnuddizya bhaviSyadvAkyamidaM kathitavAn, yathA, pazya svakIyapuNyAnAm ayutai rveSTitaH prabhuH|
15 to execute judgment against all, and to convict all the irreverent of them about all the works of their own irreverence that they have done irreverently, and about all the harsh things that irreverent sinners spoke against him.
sarvvAn prati vicArAjJAsAdhanAyAgamiSyati| tadA cAdhArmmikAH sarvve jAtA yairaparAdhinaH| vidharmmakarmmaNAM teSAM sarvveSAmeva kAraNAt| tathA tadvaiparItyenApyadharmmAcAripApinAM| uktakaThoravAkyAnAM sarvveSAmapi kAraNAt| paramezena doSitvaM teSAM prakAzayiSyate||
16 These are grumblers, fault-finders, going according to their lusts, and their mouth speaks overblown things, marveling personages for the sake of advantage.
te vAkkalahakAriNaH svabhAgyanindakAH svecchAcAriNo darpavAdimukhaviziSTA lAbhArthaM manuSyastAvakAzca santi|
17 But ye, beloved, remember the sayings previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
kintu he priyatamAH, asmAkaM prabho ryIzukhrISTasya preritai ryad vAkyaM pUrvvaM yuSmabhyaM kathitaM tat smarata,
18 that they told you that there will be scoffers during the last time, going according to their own desires of irreverences.
phalataH zeSasamaye svecchAto 'dharmmAcAriNo nindakA upasthAsyantIti|
19 These are those who make divisions, world-soul men, not having Spirit.
ete lokAH svAn pRthak kurvvantaH sAMsArikA AtmahInAzca santi|
20 But ye beloved, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
kintu he priyatamAH, yUyaM sveSAm atipavitravizvAse nicIyamAnAH pavitreNAtmanA prArthanAM kurvvanta
21 keep yourselves in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life. (aiōnios )
Izvarasya premnA svAn rakSata, anantajIvanAya cAsmAkaM prabho ryIzukhrISTasya kRpAM pratIkSadhvaM| (aiōnios )
22 And on some be ye merciful-being discerning.
aparaM yUyaM vivicya kAMzcid anukampadhvaM
23 And in fear save some, snatching them out of the fire, hating even the garment that was stained by the flesh.
kAMzcid agnita uddhRtya bhayaM pradarzya rakSata, zArIrikabhAvena kalaGkitaM vastramapi RtIyadhvaM|
24 Now to him who is able to keep them non-stumbling, and to present before his glory, unblemished in gladness,
aparaJca yuSmAn skhalanAd rakSitum ullAsena svIyatejasaH sAkSAt nirddoSAn sthApayituJca samartho
25 to the only wise God our Savior, is glory, majesty, dominion and power, both now and into all the ages. Truly. (aiōn )
yo 'smAkam advitIyastrANakarttA sarvvajJa Izvarastasya gauravaM mahimA parAkramaH kartRtvaJcedAnIm anantakAlaM yAvad bhUyAt| Amen| (aiōn )
