John 8
1 But Jesus went to the mount of Olives.
Dar Isus s-a dus pe Muntele Măslinilor.
2 And at early morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. And having sat down, he taught them.
Și, dis-de-dimineață, a intrat din nou în Templu și tot poporul a venit la El. El a șezut jos și i-a învățat.
3 And the scholars and the Pharisees bring to him a woman taken in adultery. And having stood her in the midst,
Cărturarii și fariseii au adus o femeie prinsă în adulter. După ce au așezat-o la mijloc,
4 tempting, they say to him, Teacher, we found this woman committing adultery, in the act.
i-au spus: “Învățătorule, am găsit-o pe această femeie în adulter, chiar în flagrant.
5 Now in the law, Moses commanded us such women are to be stoned. What therefore do thou say about her?
Or, în legea noastră, Moise ne-a poruncit să ucidem cu pietre astfel de femei. Ce spui, așadar, despre ea?”
6 But they said this, trying him, so that they might have an accusation against him. But Jesus having stooped down, wrote on the ground with his finger, not pretending.
Ei au spus aceasta punându-l la încercare, ca să aibă de ce să-l acuze. Dar Isus s-a aplecat și a scris cu degetul pe pământ.
7 And when they continued asking him, after standing erect, he said to them, Let the innocent man of you first cast the stone at her.
Dar, când ei continuau să-L întrebe, El și-a ridicat privirea și le-a zis: “Cine dintre voi este fără de păcat, să arunce primul cu piatra în ea.”
8 And again having stooped down, he wrote on the ground.
Și iarăși s-a aplecat și a scris cu degetul pe pământ.
9 And they, having heard and being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, having begun from the elder until the last. And Jesus was left behind alone, and the woman being in the midst.
Când au auzit, ei, încredințați de conștiința lor, au ieșit unul câte unul, începând de la cel mai bătrân până la cel din urmă. Isus a rămas singur cu femeia acolo unde era, în mijloc.
10 And Jesus, after standing erect, and having seen no man but the woman, he said to her, Woman, where are those accusers of thee? Did no man condemn thee?
Isus, ridicându-se în picioare, a văzut-o și a zis: “Femeie, unde sunt acuzatorii tăi? Nu te-a condamnat nimeni?”.
11 And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn thee. Go, and henceforth sin no more.
Ea a răspuns: “Nimeni, Doamne.” Isus a spus: “Nici Eu nu vă condamn. Mergeți pe drumul vostru. De acum încolo, să nu mai păcătuiești”.
12 Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me would, no, not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.
Isus le-a vorbit din nou, zicând: “Eu sunt lumina lumii. Cine Mă urmează pe Mine nu va umbla în întuneric, ci va avea lumina vieții."
13 The Pharisees therefore said to him, Thou testify about thyself. Thy testimony is not valid.
Fariseii I-au zis: “Tu mărturisești despre tine însuți. Mărturia ta nu este valabilă”.
14 Jesus answered and said to them, Even if I might testify about myself, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I go, but ye do not know where I come from and where I go.
Isus le-a răspuns: “Chiar dacă mărturisesc despre mine însumi, mărturia mea este adevărată, căci eu știu de unde am venit și unde mă duc; dar voi nu știți de unde am venit și unde mă duc.
15 Ye judge according to the flesh. I judge no man.
Voi judecați după trup. Eu nu judec pe nimeni.
16 But even if I judge, my judgment is valid, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent me.
Chiar dacă judec, judecata mea este adevărată, pentru că nu sunt singur, ci sunt cu Tatăl care m-a trimis.
17 And also it is written in your law that the testimony of two men is valid.
De asemenea, este scris în legea voastră că mărturia a doi oameni este valabilă.
18 I am he who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.
Eu sunt cel care mărturisește despre mine însumi, iar Tatăl care m-a trimis mărturisește despre mine.”
19 They said therefore to him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me, nor my Father. If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also.
Și I-au zis: “Unde este Tatăl Tău?” Isus a răspuns: “Nu Mă cunoașteți nici pe Mine, nici pe Tatăl Meu. Dacă M-ați cunoaște pe Mine, L-ați cunoaște și pe Tatăl Meu.”
20 Jesus spoke these sayings in the treasury as he taught in the temple, and no man seized him, because his hour had not yet come.
Isus a rostit aceste cuvinte în vistierie, în timp ce învăța în templu. Dar nimeni nu l-a arestat, pentru că nu venise încă ceasul lui.
21 Jesus therefore again said to them, I go, and ye will seek me, and ye will die in your sin. Where I go, ye cannot come.
Isus le-a spus deci din nou: “Mă duc, și voi mă veți căuta și veți muri în păcatele voastre. Unde Mă duc Eu, voi nu puteți veni”.
22 The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself, because he says, Where I go, ye cannot come?
Iudeii ziceau: “Oare se va omorî El însuși, pentru că zice: “Unde Mă duc Eu, voi nu puteți veni”?”
23 And he said to them, Ye are from below, I am from above. Ye are of this world, I am not of this world.
El le-a zis: “Voi sunteți de jos. Eu sunt de sus. Voi sunteți din lumea aceasta. Eu nu sunt din lumea aceasta.
24 I said therefore to you that ye will die in your sins. For unless ye believe that I am he, ye will die in your sins.
De aceea v-am spus că veți muri în păcatele voastre; căci, dacă nu credeți că Eu sunt, veți muri în păcatele voastre.”
25 They said therefore to him, Who are thou? And Jesus said to them, The beginning, something that I am even telling you.
Și I-au zis: “Cine ești Tu?” Isus le-a spus: “Exact ceea ce v-am spus de la început.
26 I have many things to say and to judge about you. But he who sent me is true, and I speak to the world these things that I heard from him.
Am multe lucruri de spus și de judecat cu privire la voi. Totuși, cel care m-a trimis este adevărat; și lucrurile pe care le-am auzit de la el, acestea le spun lumii.”
27 They did not understand that he spoke the Father to them.
Ei nu înțelegeau că El le vorbea despre Tatăl.
28 Jesus therefore said to them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then ye will know that I am he, and I do nothing from myself, but I speak these things as my Father taught me.
Isus le-a zis deci: “Când veți ridica pe Fiul Omului, atunci veți cunoaște că Eu sunt El și nu fac nimic de la mine însumi, ci spun aceste lucruri așa cum M-a învățat Tatăl Meu.
29 And he who sent me is with me. The Father has not left me alone, because I always do things pleasing to him.
Cel care m-a trimis este cu mine. Tatăl nu m-a lăsat singur, pentru că eu fac întotdeauna lucrurile care îi sunt plăcute.”
30 As he spoke these things of him, many believed in him.
Pe când vorbea El aceste lucruri, mulți au crezut în El.
31 Jesus therefore said to those Jews who believed him, If ye remain in my word, ye are truly my disciples,
Isus a zis deci iudeilor care crezuseră în El: “Dacă rămâneți în cuvântul Meu, sunteți cu adevărat ucenicii Mei.
32 and ye will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
Veți cunoaște adevărul și adevărul vă va face liberi.”
33 They answered to him, We are Abraham's seed, and have been in bondage to no man, ever. How can thou say, Ye will become free?
Ei i-au răspuns: “Noi suntem urmașii lui Avraam și n-am fost niciodată robi nimănui. Cum spui tu: “Veți fi liberi”?”
34 Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, that every man who does the sin is a bondman of the sin.
Isus le-a răspuns: “Adevărat vă spun că oricine săvârșește un păcat este robul păcatului.
35 And the bondman does not remain in the house into the age. The Son remains into the age. (aiōn g165)
O roabă nu locuiește în casă pentru totdeauna. Un fiu rămâne pentru totdeauna. (aiōn g165)
36 If therefore the Son should make you free, ye will truly be free.
Așadar, dacă Fiul vă face liberi, veți fi cu adevărat liberi.
37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed, yet ye seek to kill me, because my word has no place in you.
Știu că sunteți urmașii lui Avraam, dar voi căutați să mă omorâți, pentru că cuvântul meu nu-și găsește locul în voi.
38 I speak what I have seen from my Father, and ye therefore do what ye have seen from your father.
Eu spun lucrurile pe care le-am văzut la Tatăl meu, iar voi faceți și voi lucrurile pe care le-ați văzut la tatăl vostru.”
39 They answered and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus says to them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
Ei i-au răspuns: “Tatăl nostru este Avraam.” Isus le-a zis: “Dacă ați fi copiii lui Avraam, ați face faptele lui Avraam.
40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.
Dar acum căutați să Mă omorâți pe Mine, un om care v-a spus adevărul pe care l-am auzit de la Dumnezeu. Avraam nu a făcut asta.
41 Ye do the works of your father. They said therefore to him, We were not begotten from fornication. We have one Father, God.
Voi faceți faptele tatălui vostru.” Ei i-au spus: “Noi nu ne-am născut din imoralitate sexuală. Noi avem un singur Tată, Dumnezeu”.
42 Therefore Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, ye would love me, for I came forth and have come from God. For, neither have I come for myself, but he sent me.
Isus le-a zis: “Dacă Dumnezeu ar fi tatăl vostru, M-ați iubi, căci Eu am ieșit și am venit de la Dumnezeu. Căci nu am venit de la mine însumi, ci el m-a trimis.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? Because ye cannot hear my word.
De ce nu înțelegeți vorbirea mea? Pentru că nu puteți auzi cuvântul meu.
44 Ye are from the father, the devil, and ye want to do the desires of your father. He was a man-killer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar, and the father of it.
Voi sunteți de la tatăl vostru, diavolul, și vreți să împliniți dorințele tatălui vostru. El a fost ucigaș de la început și nu stă în adevăr, pentru că nu este adevăr în el. Când vorbește o minciună, vorbește de unul singur, căci este un mincinos și tatăl minciunii.
45 And I, because I speak the truth, ye do not believe me.
Dar pentru că spun adevărul, voi nu mă credeți.
46 Which of you convicts me about sin? And if I speak truth, why do ye not believe me?
Care dintre voi mă convinge de păcat? Dacă spun adevărul, de ce nu mă credeți?
47 He who is of God hears the sayings of God. Because of this ye do not hear, because ye are not of God.
Cine este de la Dumnezeu ascultă cuvintele lui Dumnezeu. De aceea voi nu auziți, pentru că nu sunteți din Dumnezeu.”
48 Therefore the Jews answered and said to him, Do we not say well that thou are a Samaritan, and have a demon?
Atunci Iudeii I-au răspuns: “Nu spunem noi bine că ești samaritean și că ai un demon?”
49 Jesus answered, I have no demon, but I honor my Father, and ye dishonor me.
Isus a răspuns: “Eu nu am niciun demon, dar Eu Îl cinstesc pe Tatăl Meu, iar voi Mă necinstiți.
50 But I seek not my own glory. He is who seeks and judges.
Dar eu nu caut gloria mea. Există cineva care caută și judecă.
51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if any man keeps my word, he will, no, not see death, into the age. (aiōn g165)
Mai mult ca sigur, vă spun că, dacă o persoană respectă cuvântul meu, nu va vedea niciodată moartea.” (aiōn g165)
52 The Jews therefore said to him, Now we know that thou have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets, and thou say, If any man keeps my word, he will, no, not taste of death, into the age. (aiōn g165)
Atunci iudeii i-au zis: “Acum știm că ai un demon. Avraam a murit, ca și profeții, iar tu spui: “Dacă un om păzește cuvântul Meu, nu va gusta niciodată moartea”. (aiōn g165)
53 Are thou greater than our father Abraham who died? And the prophets died. Who do thou make thyself?
Ești tu mai mare decât tatăl nostru Avraam, care a murit? Profeții au murit. Cine te dai tu drept cine ești?”.
54 Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. My Father is he who glorifies me, of whom ye say, He is our God.
Isus a răspuns: “Dacă mă slăvesc pe mine însumi, slava mea nu este nimic. Cel care mă slăvește pe mine este Tatăl meu, despre care voi spuneți că este Dumnezeul nostru.
55 And ye do not know him, but I know him. And if I should say that I do not know him, I will be a liar like you, but I do know him and keep his word.
Voi nu L-ați cunoscut, dar Eu Îl cunosc. Dacă aș spune: “Nu-l cunosc”, aș fi ca voi, un mincinos. Dar eu îl cunosc și îi respect cuvântul.
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he could see my day, and he saw it, and was glad.
Tatăl vostru Avraam s-a bucurat să vadă ziua mea. A văzut-o și s-a bucurat”.
57 The Jews therefore said to him, Thou have not yet fifty years, and thou have seen Abraham?
Și Iudeii i-au zis: “Nu ești încă în vârstă de cincizeci de ani! L-ai văzut tu pe Avraam?”
58 Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I am.
Isus le-a zis: “Adevărat vă spun că, înainte ca Avraam să fi existat, EU SUNT.”
59 Therefore they took up stones so that they might throw at him, but Jesus was hid, and went out of the temple, having passed through the midst of them, and thus passed on.
Și au luat pietre ca să arunce în El; dar Isus S-a ascuns și a ieșit din templu, trecând prin mijlocul lor, și a trecut pe lângă ei.
