John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God, believe also in me.
NO se turbe vuestro corazon: creeis en Dios, creed tambien en mí.
2 In my Father's house are many dwellings, and if not, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
En la casa de mi padre muchas moradas hay; de otra manera, os [lo] hubiera dicho: voy pues á preparar lugar para vosotros.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will take you along to myself, so that where I am, ye may be also.
Y si me fuere, y os aparejare lugar, vendré otra vez, y os tomaré á mí mismo; para que donde yo estoy, vosotros tambien esteis.
4 And ye know where I go, and ye know the way.
Y sabeis á donde yo voy, y sabeis el camino.
5 Thomas says to him, Lord, we know not where thou go. How can we know the way?
Dícele Tomás: Señor, no sabemos adonde vas: ¿cómo pues podemos saber el camino?
6 Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father, except by me.
Jesus le dice: Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida: nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí.
7 If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also. And from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Si me conocieseis, tambien á mi Padre conocierais: y desde ahora le conoceis, y le habeis visto.
8 Philip says to him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.
Dícele Felipe: Señor, muéstranos al Padre, y nos basta.
9 Jesus says to him, Have I been so long a time with you, and thou do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. And how can thou say, Show us the Father?
Jesus le dice: ¿Tanto tiempo [ha que] estoy con vosotros, y no me has conocido, Felipe? El que me ha visto, ha visto al Padre. ¿Como, pues, dices tú: Muéstranos al Padre?
10 Do thou not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The sayings that I speak to you I speak not from myself, but the Father who dwells in me, he does the works.
¿No crees que yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en mí? Las palabras que yo os hablo, no [las] hablo de mí mismo: mas el Padre que está en mí, él hace las obras.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me. But if not, believe me because of the works themselves.
Creedme que yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en mí; de otra manera creedme por las mismas obras.
12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, that man will also do. And he will do greater than these, because I go to the Father.
De cierto, de cierto os digo [que] el que en mí cree, las obras que yo hago tambien el [las] hará, y mayores que estas hará; porque yo voy al Padre:
13 And anything whatever ye may ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Y todo lo que pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, esto haré; para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.
14 If ye will ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
Si algo pidiereis en mi nombre, yo [lo] haré.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Si me amais, guardad mis mandamientos:
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper, so that he may dwell with you into the age, (aiōn g165)
Y yo rogaré al Padre, y os dará otro Consolador, para que esté con vosotros para siempre; (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot receive, because it does not see nor know it. But ye know it, because it dwells with you, and will be in you.
Al Espíritu de verdad, al cual el mundo no puede recibir, porque no le ve, ni le conoce; mas vosotros le conoceis, porque está con vosotros, y será en vosotros.
18 I will not leave you orphaned. I am coming to you.
No os dejaré huérfanos: vendré á vosotros.
19 Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more, but ye see me. Because I live, ye will also live.
Aun un poquito, y el mundo no me verá más; empero vosotros me veréis: porque yo vivo, y vosotros tambien viviréis.
20 In that day ye will know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
En aquel dia vosotros conoceréis que yo [estoy] en mi Padre, y vosotros en mí, y yo en vosotros.
21 He who has my commandments, and keeps them, that man it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
El que tiene mis mandamientos, y los guarda, aquel es el que me ama: y el que me ama, será amado de mi Padre, y yo le amaré, y me manifestaré á él.
22 Judas (not Iscariot) says to him, Lord, and what has happened that thou are going to manifest thyself to us, and not to the world?
Dícele Júdas, no el Iscariote: Señor, ¿qué hay porque te hayas de manifestar á nosotros, y no al mundo?
23 Jesus answered and said to him, If any man loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make a dwelling with him.
Respondió Jesus, y díjole: El que me ama, mi palabra guardará; y mi Padre le amará, y vendrémos á él, y harémos con él morada.
24 He who does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that ye hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.
El que no me ama, no guarda mis palabras: y la palabra que habeis oido no es mia, sino del Padre que me envió.
25 I have spoken these things to you while remaining with you.
Estas cosas os he hablado estando con vosotros.
26 But the helper, the Holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
Mas el Consolador, el Espíritu Santo, al cual el Padre enviará en mi nombre, el os enseñará todas las cosas, y os recordará todas las cosas que os he dicho.
27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be cowardly.
La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy: no como el mundo [la] da, yo os [la] doy: no se turbe vuestro corazon, ni tenga miedo.
28 Ye heard that I said to you, I go, and I come to you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced because I said I go to the Father, because my Father is greater than I.
Habeis oido como yo os he dicho: Voy, y vengo á vosotros. Si me amaseis, ciertamente os gozariais porque he dicho que voy al Padre: porque el Padre mayor es que yo.
29 And now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, ye might believe.
Y ahora os [lo] he dicho ántes que se haga, para que cuando se hiciere, creais.
30 I will no longer speak many things with you, for the ruler of the world comes. And he has nothing on me,
Ya no hablaré mucho con vosotros: porque viene el príncipe de este mundo; mas no tiene nada en mí.
31 but that the world may know that I love the Father. And as the Father commanded me, thus I do. Arise, let us go from here.
Empero para que conozca el mundo que amo al Padre, y que como el Padre me dió el mandamiento, así hago. Levantáos, vamos de aquí.
